The Jiminy Conjecture - S3-E2

Corrected entry: In the discussion between Raj and Howard about "shiksa goddess" plus Sheldon's later mispronunciation of the word and Howard's correction, it is never clarified that the term applies only to a Gentile girlfriend of a Jewish man. No other relationship qualifies.

MFWills

Correction: This is incorrect as it also applies to a Gentile woman who is the object of desire by a Jewish man. However, like many words, the appropriation of the word by English speakers has transformed it into any Gentile woman (although usually an attractive woman) and is as such, commonly used as a term of endearment rather than an insult.

Bishop73

Corrected entry: When the Avengers are defending the core, Ultron flies in and starts fighting Vision in real time, but pay attention to the left side of the screen: Iron Man is flying by in slow-motion. (01:56:25)

Friso94

Correction: All the action on the ground is slow motion, Cap, Scarlet Witch's red power, the robots, not just Iron Man. So there's nothing to indicate it was real-time. It could have been done to show Ultron's speed, or just a style choice.

Orpheus in the Undergrowth - S2-E2

Corrected entry: Rosemary finds a bottle of Betabuse in Marcia's medicine cabinet. Betabuse, Rosemary tells Laura, is for alcoholics, who, while taking Betabuse and alcohol will throw up. Eventually, the alcoholic learns to equate drinking with vomiting. Jeremy, Marcia's husband and the alcoholic, is found dead from a heart attack. Marcia is arrested for killing him, because she (1) made him mushroom soup, using smooth ink cap mushrooms, which have the same ingredients as Betabuse, then (2) replaced the water from his water bottle as he went jogging with vodka. The police say Marcia hoped that when he took a swig of water and got Vodka instead, after eating the soup, it triggered a heart attack - now, yes, Jeremy had a "dodgy ticker", but throwing up is a far cry from dying from a heart attack.

kh1616

Correction: This is a real thing and not exaggerated. The drug "disulfiram" does cause a reaction to alcohol consumption such as vomiting and nausea and used for chronic alcoholics. However, disulfiriam has been known to cause myocardial infractions (heart attacks). This is simply what happened to Jeremy.

Rebecca (1940)

Corrected entry: Maxim tells his wife that he carried Rebecca's dead body to the boat from the dinghy and he carried her below to the cabin floor. It is hard enough to get yourself out of a dinghy and onto the "sailboat" (as it is known) and then down the narrow stairs to the cabin. Carrying a bag of groceries only adds to the problem. But a dead woman - impossible.

kh1616

Correction: This is speculation at best, some people might not have a problem carrying groceries down narrow stairs and many people (like firemen) are trained, strong enough, or just determined, to carry a body. Nothing about his statement is impossible.

Goldfinger (1964)

Corrected entry: In the beginning, James has a fight with a man and he throws him into a bath filled with water. Then James throws the electric fan into the bath, which electrocutes the man. Problem is: The electrocution should have killed the lights, or at least made them flicker, but they do nothing of these.

kh1616

Correction: It depends what circuit the lights are on and the outlet. There's a number of reason why the lights wouldn't go out (meaning the breaker was tripped) or flicker.

Black Sheep (1996)

Corrected entry: This was not the first time that Chris Farley and David Spade had teamed up for a movie. Tommy Boy was a cult classic and featured them driving around in a car that bares a striking resemblance to the car that Mike Donnoly owns in this movie.

Correction: Richard had a 1967 Plymouth Belvedere GTX. Mike is seen driving either a 1968 Ford Mustang (when dropping off the kid) or a 1969 Pontiac Bonneville. Although they are all convertibles, they are 3 distinct and different cars.

Black Sheep (1996)

Corrected entry: When Mike and Steve are campaigning at the grocery store and Mike helps the elderly couple put their bags in the trunk you can see the bags sitting in the trunk. When the elderly couple get in the car and they show Mike again, right before he shuts his tie in the trunk, you don't see any bags at all.

Correction: When he closes the trunk you see two of the bags. The most prominent one is the one with the red box stick partly out. The other two bags have just been pushed further down into the big trunk and off the lip. But we see Mike do a move that could be him pushing two of the bags down.

Black Sheep (1996)

Corrected entry: Al Donelly is leaving the football field in his limo and is talking about what to do about his brother. When David Spade talks to Al through the microphone he calls him Mike Donelly.

Correction: He does not call him Mike Donnelly, he says "Mr. About-to-be-governor-elect Donnelly."

Turbo (2013)

Corrected entry: When the broadcasters are beginning to talk about the Indy 500, one states that it was tele-casted in over 200 countries, however the total number of countries in the entire world is only 196 (while the number is slightly debateable, 196 is generally viewed as the maximum).

Correction: According to the U.N., there are 206 states (or what the layperson would call countries). 190 states have undisputed sovereignty. While 16 states' sovereignty may be disputed by the U.N., for broadcast purposes, they would be considered their own country, especially by the announcer, who wouldn't bother explaining the nuances of a state's independence.

Prison Break (2005)

Rendezvous - S2-E10

Corrected entry: When Mahoney is locked in the cage, you can see that both sides of the cage door have key locks, but when William Kim comes to rescue him, William magically has The Key. (00:13:20 - 00:33:40)

Correction: While locked in the cage, Alex called Kellerman but instead Bill Kim was sent to pick him up. So he not only knew where he was locked up at, but had plenty of time to get a key.

Billy Madison (1995)

Corrected entry: The scene after Veronica Vaughn says, "You're losing your mind, Billy!", when Billy goes to her house, there is a shot of Billy's pool. In that shot the pool is clean. When Ms. Vaughn is beating up Billy in the pool, there are beer cans in the pool. (01:05:23)

Correction: The shot we see is of the fountain, the "pool" part where the beer cans are are not visible in this shot as it is off to the side and blocked by the shrubs. When she's walking towards Billy, the cans are seen in the pool.

Billy Madison (1995)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Billy is drunk, and he goes to Veronica's house, when she closes the door, you can clearly see that she has a wedding ring on her left ring finger. Earlier, when Billy and his friend call her to ask if she has a boyfriend, she says no.

Correction: There's no proof or indication it's a wedding ring, the character could have simply chose to wore a ring there. In real life, the actress who played Veronica (Bridget Wilson) was not married at the time of filming and wasn't married until 2000.

Lethal Weapon (1987)

Corrected entry: When Murtaugh pulls up to Amanda Hunsacker's crime scene at the beginning of the film, a crew member is seen in the rear view mirror of his car. (00:09:15)

TheHeartbreakKid15

Correction: After watching the scene, there's nothing to indicate any crew member in the rear view mirror. The only thing you see is Murtaugh's head and vehicles/building passing by. Even in the side mirror there's no obvious crew member (the area was surrounded by on-lookers and cops and what seems to be someone in the side mirror could be one of them).

Monkeybone (2001)

Corrected entry: Near the end when Monkeybone (while possessing the body of Stu) grabs one of the Monkeybone dolls and jumps from table to table you can see how the tabletop is bouncing like a trampoline (not much, but noticable).

Bjoern_Buller

Correction: There is nothing unusual about the table he jumps on or their movements. They are regular folding round tables. The tablecloths move about as he jumps in a normal fashion.

Office Space (1999)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Peter, Michael and Samir are talking about Joanna sleeping with Lumbergh, Peter realizes that he had the wrong Lumbergh and says, "you mean Ron Lumbergh, the Innatrode guy, the young guy?" But if you watch his lips, he does not say Innatrode. (01:10:50)

Correction: Watching the line over and over, it's clear he says "Innatrode" and his lips are in sync.

Dragonheart (1996)

Corrected entry: How does Brother Gilbert, on a plodding mule, manage to keep up with Draco's flying above the forest?

Correction: The dragon isn't flying straight ahead, he's circling around, so where they land wasn't that far away from where they started. Plus, we don't really know how long it was from from they first take off to when Brother Gilbert arrives.

Dragonheart (1996)

Corrected entry: Bowen hands Kara a nearly complete melon in town, missing only the top. When she smashes it in his face in the next shot, it is down to half.

Correction: We see Bowen smash the melon almost in half and this half of the melon is what Kara shoves into his face.

Die Hard 2 (1990)

Corrected entry: Just before McClane drops down from the vent to rescue the guy that's about to be killed from be the terrorist dressed as a painter, he fires 9 shots, and then he drops down and proceeds to shoot 14 more shots in the process of killing other terrorists, without reloading. His gun could not have held that many rounds. (00:45:45)

smd9

Correction: There's nothing to suggest he didn't reload. Later when we do see him reload, it takes him less than 3 seconds (including pulling out the new magazine). After he dropped down, he's off camera for more than 3 seconds.

Bishop73

Corrected entry: Near the end of the movie, when Santa's sleigh is stopped over the house, Lucy waves to Comet, who is suddenly on the back of the sleigh, when he wasn't there in the previous shot.

wizard_of_gore

Correction: In the previous shot you can definitely see Comet in the back of the sleigh. You even see his antlers sticking up, behind Santa.

Bishop73

Correction: The "wire" that you see is the rope Charlie came down on. It's visible during the whole scene.
