Continuity mistake: When Lois reminds Peter to go get the tree, there's a wreath with a bow hanging on the wall between the two pictures behind the couch, but when Lois convinces Peter with the promise of a new VCR that wreath has vanished, then it reappears and disappears again when Peter returns with the tree. Also, the plate of cookies that are on the arm of the couch seem to vanish as well.

Continuity mistake: When Lois asks Brian to put on his sweater the rabbit ears antenna is atop the TV, but when Lois asks Peter to "please" get the tree, the TV antenna has vanished then it reappears, and the rug isn't where it should be then it too reappears properly.

Continuity mistake: While Peter and Brian are arguing in the kitchen the side door has a handle on the right side, but when Peter insists that Brian use the leash Brian storms out of the house, and the door's hardware has changed to a doorknob that is now on the left side of the door.

Continuity mistake: Peter and Brian go to a trailer park to try to get the gifts back. They are standing in front of a trailer and the doorknob is square. Peter kneels down and it's suddenly a rectangle.
Other mistake: The guys lasso the bear. Then Peter impossibly lassos the bear's legs. There's no way for the lasso to go around the bear's leg with his feet on the ground. And the lasso couldn't have gone over the body down to the legs since the other ropes would have gotten in the way.
Continuity mistake: After Peter says goodbye to his family before his flight to Ireland, when it cuts to Stewie spying on Lois while she's doing the dishes, there's a calendar hanging on the wall beside the refrigerator and a paper hanging on the fridge, but when Stewie draws on the wall both the calendar and paper have vanished.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the episode everyone is having a picnic. Joe says what the heck happened to that trophy and everyone's plates disappear. The table is completely empty.
Continuity mistake: Brian and Stewie see Meg enter Mayor West's motel room. She's wearing a purple dress. They follow them to a restaurant and Meg has her regular hat and outfit on.

Continuity mistake: When Peter is on the couch talking to Catherine, the amount of wine in his glass keeps changing from shot to shot. He takes a drink and the amount stays the same.

Continuity mistake: The wreath on the inside of the door changes from small to big. Notice when Peter goes outside to get a tree. Its bigger when he comes back inside the house.

Continuity mistake: When Lois is helping Peter get his work done while he has the hand injury, Peter gives Lois the flip book to proofread. During this scene the phone power cord appears then disappears, and the door knob as well as the kick plate vanish then reappear properly.

Continuity mistake: The beginning of the episode shows the front of the house. A few seconds later Peter walks in the front door with mail even though he wasn't outside before.
Continuity mistake: Peter goes to see his mom. She's drinking coffee and puts the cup down on the table to answer the door. In the next shot the cup disappears.
Other mistake: Peter says I can't afford to keep you. He puts 4 bullets in the shotgun. He shoots a total of 5 times.
Character mistake: Lois says to Quagmire, if you have any questions we'll be right across the street. They live next door obviously, not across the street.
Continuity mistake: When the guys are arguing over the trophy Quagmires teeth disappear for 10 seconds. His mouth is all black then they reappear.
Continuity mistake: As Peter makes a comment on Jesus' joke, the screen goes into a closeup between the two of them. The potatoes on their plates change from a sandy yellow to white and the next time their plates are in view, the potatoes are back to their original colour. (00:11:33)

Continuity mistake: Lois slaps the skull out of Peter's hand and it lands on top of the dirt pile. They both turn around to look at the house and the skull is nowhere in sight.
Continuity mistake: At the start of the episode there's no coffee table beside the couch. When Brian is trying to prove to Peter that he has gravitational pull because of his weight, there's now a table with a bowl of fruit and a book.
Chosen answer: It's a play on words. Instead of eggs Benedict, he says Megs Benedict.
