Stewie Goes for a Drive - S10-E4
Continuity mistake: Stewie packs his backpack, opens the window and slides down the drain pipe. When Brian comes in to get him, the window is closed, but Stewie didn't do it.
Continuity mistake: When Peter (from 1999) arrives at Quagmire's house for the stag party, the window is small. But in the next shot when Brian looks through the window, it is a lot bigger. (00:05:55)
Revealing mistake: When Stewie and Brian appear in the future and watch the Griffin family in the future, the pole of the staircase Brian is holding is differently animated to the rest of the staircase. (00:13:25)
Other mistake: When Stewie and Brian are in Stewie's bedroom in the future, Stewie's time machine is nowhere to be seen. (00:15:00)
Character mistake: After Stewie and Brian go to tell the past versions of themselves not to tell 1999 Brian about 9/11, Stewie then finds out that Brian then told 1999 Brian to write the Harry Potter novels. This would have been impossible because the first Harry Potter novel was published in 1997, 2 years before the time period Stewie and Brian arrive in. (00:16:35)
Continuity mistake: In the scene with the multiple versions of Stewie and Brian come back to 1999, one Peter is with one of them. When Stewie asks everyone to vote between 9/11, Peter is standing in the foreground, but disappears when one of the Stewies says Brian had his throat slit. (00:18:25)
Continuity mistake: Kevin takes his jacket off at the dinner table. His shirt says Ed Hardy. The name wasn't on the shirt until he took his jacket off and it disappears again when he puts the jacket back on.

Continuity mistake: Quagmire and Meg are sitting on the couch. From out of nowhere he gives Meg a gift for her birthday. He came over empty handed. (00:04:27)

Other mistake: While Quagmire is tickling Meg on the couch, there's a brief moment when her mouth disappears. (00:12:28)
Continuity mistake: When we first see Kate and her parents at the restaurant there are only 2 empty chairs. Stewie then sits in the chair next to Kate. After Kate's parents ask what happened, we see a chair in between Stewie and Kate, but you can also see the edge of third empty chair. A plate and the wine filled glass also move.
Factual error: A TV announcer says "We now return to True Blood", indicating a return from a commercial break. True Blood airs on HBO, which is a premium network that does not show commercials.
Continuity mistake: When Brian is with Stewie asking for help, we see a set of blocks on the table, including a set of 3 stacked up. In the next shot, the 3 blocks vanish.

Continuity mistake: When Meg is confronting her captor, he tells her he did not buy her to be a slave but to marry his son. When she straightens up, questioning this, her belly button disappears. (00:19:46)

Continuity mistake: The colour of the ropes tying the ladders together changes from white to yellow. (00:11:00)

Continuity mistake: At the top of the mountain, there are 3 string of flags attached to a pole. The shortest of which is 3 flags. Red, Blue, Yellow. However, after the shot zooms and comes back to the Griffins, the colours are now Blue, Red, Blue. The colours of a second string also change. (00:13:30)

Continuity mistake: When Peter and the family reach the top of Mt Everest, it shows a long shot of them all by themselves. Cut to Lois talking - another family is suddenly sitting there, and the woman says "we beat you by one hour and 11 minutes." (00:14:00)

Continuity mistake: Just as the Griffin's start down the mountain the flags disappear from behind them. (00:14:30)

Continuity mistake: Walking down the mountain Stewie is behind Brian. When he gets the scarf out however, he is side by side with Brian. (00:15:10)

Continuity mistake: When walking down the mountain, in the long shots, there are footprints between Brian and Stewie. But in the close up there isn't any. (00:17:00)

Continuity mistake: Peter rescues the Fishmans. When the family pulls him up he's holding both of them under one arm and has a huge rock that came from nowhere under the other arm. (00:19:50)

Answer: Lacey Chabert was the actress who originally voiced Meg in early episodes. She left of her own accord due to being in school and other acting work; Seth MacFarlane has stated there was no tension with her leaving, but it makes for a handy joke for the show.
