Continuity mistake: When Jason is impersonating the God Who Comes, the position of the blue rope tying Sam to the roof of the car, keeps changing position between shots. For example, when Mike Spencer says, "You're the God Who Comes?", the rope is under Sam's chest; in other shots, it's behind his neck.
Character mistake: When Bill mentions to Sophie-Anne that drinking the maenad's blood poisoned him, she says that vampires can only feed off human blood. However, across the show, we've seen vampires drink from fairies, werewolves and even the blood of other vampires, like Lilith's blood.
Continuity mistake: When Jason is talking to Andy at the Merlottes', he sticks his fork backwards into his sandwich. A couple of shots later, the fork has mysteriously disappeared, and there's not even a hole or mark in the sandwich. The fork reappears a few shots later.
Continuity mistake: When Bill dines with Russell and Talbot, Talbot takes a sip of carbonated blood and puts his glass down on the table, on his right, next to another glass. In the next shot, he puts his glass down again. A couple of shots later, both glasses have jumped to his left side.
Continuity mistake: When Eric and Russell are lying outside Fangtasia while smoldering in the sunlight, their position on the ground keeps changing between shots, seen from the painted lines on Fangtasia's parking lot. For example, in the first shot, their heads are several inches away from the blue line, and Russell is lying on a white line. In the following close-ups, Eric is now lying on a white line instead, while Russell is not, and both have moved much closer to the blue line. Can't be due to vampire speed, as both are chained with silver.
Continuity mistake: When Lafayette is possessed by Mavis and shoots at the police, Jason and Andy run out of the house. In the wide-shot, Jason throws himself on the ground, and rolls around on Andy's right. In the following close-up, Jason lands on the ground again, this time on Andy's left.
Continuity mistake: When Sookie points the shotgun at Debbie and says, "Get out of my house, bitch", she fires the weapon and blows the doll's house by the window to bits. The damage to the doll's house and the debris surrounding it changes dramatically between shots. For example, when the house explodes, the entire roof comes off, but the back wall is still intact; a couple of shots later, most of the back wall is missing and parts of the roof are undamaged.
