Continuity mistake: During the dinner scene, Megs and Lois' spoons keep disappearing and reappearing during different shots. (00:13:15)

Continuity mistake: After Meg finds out Peter isn't taking her to the dance and confronts him about it, it changes to their home with Lois asking Peter about why. He is lying on a circular rug on the floor writing in a notebook. He is lying across the rug with the book on the edge of it. When it cuts to a close-up in the next shot, suddenly he is off the rug lying towards it with the book closer to the centre. (00:14:40)
Continuity mistake: After Peter laughs about Charles Dickens, he changes position between shots. (00:15:25)

Continuity mistake: Peter yells at Lois and acts like a child, saying "I hate you!" and runs up to their room. He flops down on the bed with his shoes on. In this first shot, his feet are right at the edge of the bed, but when the camera changes angles, suddenly he's further up in the bed with a lot more room between the edge and his feet. (00:16:10)

Continuity mistake: In Meg's room, she tells her mom that she "married a total jerk." She has pink flowers on her pillow. In the next shot, the flowers disappear. (00:16:50)

Continuity mistake: When Lois goes to the bedroom, she opens the door and trips the wire across the door. The wire is strung across the bottom of the door but when she turns the light on, it has disappeared. (00:18:05)

Continuity mistake: When we first go to the dance in the gymnasium, "Lando" is dancing on the basketball court with Connie. In the far shot, his foot is right on the half-court line. Then in the next close-up, suddenly he's far away from it. Also, he's now suddenly in the centre of the spotlight; the spotlight is smaller, and the people behind him and Connie change positions and are closer together. (00:18:45)

Continuity mistake: At the start of the episode, when Jeffrey is walking towards the pile of leaves to get the sand sifter/rake, the position of the rake to the leaves, the number of leaves, and the position of some of the leaves all change between shots, including the rake being closer to the leaves and a few solitary leaves vanishing. (00:02:05)

Other mistake: While Lois is kneeling at the entrance of the playground with Stewie, a woman is walking by carrying a baby. The playground gate entrance is casting a long shadow; however, Lois, Stewie, and the woman are not casting shadows in the same way. (00:03:35)

Continuity mistake: Lois takes Stewie to a playground, and there's a woman walking by carrying a baby. When the shot cuts to a close-up of Lois kneeling down by Stewie, suddenly an orange spring rocker horse appears next to them in the sand that was not there a moment ago. (00:03:35)

Continuity mistake: When the kids are playing Duck Duck Goose, after it's Stewie's turn to be it, there's suddenly fewer kids in the circle. It's possible the darker-skinned boy is off screen on the right side; however, the girl on the left has fully vanished, with the kid in the orange shirt taking her place. (00:05:40 - 00:06:10)

Other mistake: This mistake appears to only be in the digital version of the episode on Hulu and Disney+. After Stewie fires the net gun at the other kid in the Duck Duck Goose game and says he's still it, we get our first real look at Janet as she giggles at Stewie. For a few frames as it zooms in on her, the top of her head is cut off and blinks out of existence. (00:05:55)

Continuity mistake: When Stewie is in his room talking to Rupert and himself out loud about Janet we see that Rupert is on the left side of Stewie's pillow. When the camera pans over to Brian who overhears Stewie's musings, after Brian makes fun of Stewie the camera pans back and Rupert is gone. There is also a quick tete-a-tete on the color of Janet's eyes and the final shot is on Stewie and his crib and yet no Rupert to be found. (00:07:20)

Continuity mistake: The pilots prank Lois on the plane at her new job as a stewardess by pretending to be stabbed to death. While they are laughing at her, she straightens up and the camera cuts to a close-up with her saying, "Bastards." In this shot, the frame around the cabin door disappears. (00:09:00)
Other mistake: After the Kentucky cut away with Peter, we're back on the plane. He sits down and is surrounded by the exact same other characters from the last plane we saw him on: the pink lady sitting next to him and the man in the green suit sitting behind him. This is after at least a day or two in the episode, and Peter is flying all over the world on different planes as a freeloader with his wife's new job. It's next to impossible that he'd be sitting next to the same lady and in front of the same man again. (00:09:30 - 00:15:10)

Continuity mistake: When Stewie is building with blocks, you first see a pyramid with three blocks on the bottom and two on the top. The shot changes, and he puts two more on the top, near the edge. When the shot changes again, suddenly there are five blocks on the bottom, six on the second layer, and two on the top near the middle. The letters and pictures are also all different. (00:09:50)
Continuity mistake: When Lois is telling Peter she's thinking of quitting her new job as a stewardess, she leaves her jacket on the corner of the bed. After Peter convinces her not to quit yet, her jacket has vanished off the bed. (00:11:50 - 00:12:20)

Continuity mistake: In the Kurt Cobain cutaway, it shows him and his band on stage. When it cuts to a close-up of him, suddenly his drummer and the other guitarist vanish. (00:11:55)

Other mistake: When Peter and Lois begin to search for the black market, it then cuts to an exterior shot of Stewie's daycare. In this shot, not only is the entire left side of the chain link fence missing, but bizarrely, this missing gate still casts a shadow on the sidewalk. (00:18:40)

Continuity mistake: When Stewie walks up to Janet during nap time, the kid that was asleep behind Janet has suddenly vanished, leaving an empty mat for Stewie to lie on. (00:20:15)

Answer: Lacey Chabert was the actress who originally voiced Meg in early episodes. She left of her own accord due to being in school and other acting work; Seth MacFarlane has stated there was no tension with her leaving, but it makes for a handy joke for the show.
