The Simpsons

Brush With Greatness - S2-E18

Corrected entry: Marge should not have received the letter from Ringo Starr because of the fact that she was in her teens when she wrote the letter to him, and she was not living in the Simpson family's current house.

Correction: I'm assuming Springfield has a postal service, and all postal services have the change of address forms she could have (and probably did) fill out when she moved.

Last Exit to Springfield - S4-E17

Corrected entry: The entire staff of the Nuclear Power Plant are meant to be on strike. The number singing in the circle around Lisa outside the plant is nowhere near big enough to run it, and other episodes show that there are many more of them. Where is everyone?

Correction: They were all on strike, they were not all picketing.

22 Short Films About Springfield - S7-E21

Corrected entry: When the tall man has pulled down Nelson's pants and has made him march down the street, the public all laugh at him. You can see Chief Wiggum laughing with them in the background. Funny thing is that he was tied and gagged to a chair just a few scenes earlier.

Correction: Not True. Both these shots were in different films, hence the name 22 Short Films About Springfield.

Show generally

Corrected entry: What happened to Waylon Smithers? In the first season he is a black man but as the series progresses he becomes a white man.

Correction: On the DVD commentary of this episode Matt Groening says this is a animation mistake and says you should look on it as a really dark tan.

HOMR - S12-E9

Corrected entry: Homer's dumbness is caused by the crayon stuck up his nose, as stated in the episode, but on a previous episode, Homer remembers he once was injected with a new drug which the government was testing, which left him bald, fat and stupid.

Correction: He also hit his head on a coffee table as a child and was brain damaged. There's a lot of reasons.

Fear of Flying - S6-E11

Corrected entry: Marge seems to have remembered her Fear of Flying rather suddenly - only a few episodes ago she was flying to Itchy & Scratchyland in a helicopter.

Correction: She's only afraid of flying in planes.

Show generally

Corrected entry: Milhouse actually has two 10th birthday parties, the one that Bart was not invited because Milhouse's mom said he was a bad influence, and the one where he is bragging to Bart about how his dad got Krusty the Klown (which really was Homer) to his party.

Correction: Technically, Milhouse has probably had many more 10th b-day parties than that (as has the whole cast), considering no one has aged during the entire series (Bart's still in 4th grade, Lisa is still 8 years old, and Maggie's only said one word.)

The Springfield Files - S8-E10

Corrected entry: How is Homer supposed to know that Santa's Little Helper's birthday is the same day as his, when he picked him up at the race track?

Correction: When someone adopts a pet, the dog's birthdate is given in the accompanying papers which also lists the shots, when they were given, and if the pet is spayed or neutered. Even though Homer picks up Santa's Little Helper at the race track, the owners have to know how old their dogs are in order to see how long they can race (over their lifespan), and when they need to administer shots and any other medications to the dogs.

Show generally

Corrected entry: Why is Edna Krabappel called Mrs. Krabappel if she isn't (and was never) married?

Correction: In several episodes, Mrs. Krabappel talks to other teachers at the school, students, and even Bart about her ex, Mr. Krabappel.

Padzter

Million Dollar Maybe - S21-E11

Corrected entry: Homer breaks his arm when pulling his arm out of the tree where he hides his money when Bart asks what is he doing, but for the rest of the episode his arm is fine. (00:16:00)

Russ Greco

Correction: Clearly Homer didn't break his arm. He just dislocated it.

MasterOfAll

Tree House of Horror X - S11-E4

Corrected entry: Just after the Simpson family have been chased by Ned in the car, Homer pokes Ned in the eye with a twig and it makes a squishy noise indicating Homer has poked his eye, even though Ned is wearing glasses.

Correction: When you see Homer poke Ned in the eye the first time, you can see that his glasses are pushed farther up his face.

The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson - S9-E1

Corrected entry: Homers watch keeps disappearing and reappearing between shots throughout the whole episode.

Correction: That mistake is already listed.

Show generally

Continuity mistake: This is a mistake for the introduction from seasons 2-20 (1991-2009). When Homer screams, he turns round. You see this in a wide shot. There are no boxes to the right of the door in the garage. However, two just appear out of thin air when he runs through the garage. (00:01:50)

[The Simpsons are driving down a road as fast as possible.]
Homer: Dear God, it's Homer. If you really love me you'll save my life now.
[The gas needle immediately drops to empty and the car stops.]
Homer: D'oh.
