Corrected entry: It seems as if John and Jack drive from Moscow to Pripyat during one night/evening. The distance is almost 1000 km and it would take at least 12 hours to drive. (00:38:20)

Jacob La Cour

Correction: Speed limit on major highways in Russia is 110 kmh and in Ukraine is up to 130 kmh. A 960 kilometer trip could easily be made in about 8 hours, even keeping close to the speed limit. Odds are they weren't following the speed limits too closely. Nights in that region are dark for 12 to 14 hours at that time of year. Besides which, it "seems" like they drove it in one night, but there is nothing to confirm they drove it in one night.

Vanishing Point (1971)

Corrected entry: At one point near the end of the film, Kowalski is shown on the CHP "big board" as being East of Mono Lake on the Nevada border, and his only direct route West would have been Hwy 120. Later, he is shown coming South on Hwy 108. Had he chosen this route, his most reasonable route West would have been on Hwy 4 through Stockton, and the minions of the law with their Cats on Hwy 120 would have grown old waiting.

Correction: The movie shows one possible route. Who's to say they didn't set up roadblocks on all the highways heading into California? Kowalski has also been taking handfuls of pills to keep awake, has had hallucinations and has major fatigue. Choosing a more reasonable route would be beyond his capabilities by this point.

Christine (1983)

Corrected entry: Christine's headlights are visible through Buddy Repperton's rear window as she is chasing him. Repperton makes a pretty quick steering maneuver to get away from Christine, and her headlights are shown moving sideways in the rear window to simulate this. Unfortunately, the movement of Christine's headlights is far too slow to correspond to the quick movement of Repperton's steering wheel. It was done in a studio and looks pretty phony. (01:14:55)

Correction: Christine was following closely, and turned at the same time he did. However, the Camaro turned a little sharper, and thus Christine's lights didn't follow at exactly the same rate, so they move slowly instead of fast, or staying stationary relative to the Camaro.

Christine (1983)

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the final scene when our hero says "They really cleaned this place out," they must not have noticed the little white car that Christine runs into on her first suicide run. (01:33:50)

Correction: Compared to what Darnell's place looked like prior to this scene, it was cleaned out. The white car left in there may not have been moveable due to no keys, or could have been left while waiting for the owner to pick it up.

Fast & Furious 6 (2013)

Corrected entry: At the end, we see that Han was killed. The driver who knocked Han's car walked to him and set his car on fire. However, in Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, where this accident is first seen, you will notice that Sean hurries to see Han as soon as he had the accident, and he would have seen if a man had set the fire on purpose.

Correction: Sean was at least a block away from Han's car, as he was involved in his own accident moments before. There would have been time enough for Statham to get out of the car and leave before Sean got close enough to see Han. And Sean didn't see Han until he car was already on fire, but before it exploded, so it's another indication Statham had already left.

Raising Arizona (1987)

Corrected entry: When H.I. and Ed find out about the Arizona quintuplets, the babies are newborns. But when they go to steal one of the babies they are toddlers. So either H.I. and Ed waited a long time before they set their plan in motion, or those babies aged very fast.

jbrbbt

Correction: It's not like they heard about the babies, decided to kidnap one, and H.I. planned the kidnapping overnight. These things take time, so it's highly likely that your first supposition, that they waited a long time, is correct.

The Rookie (1990)

Correction: And yet I can hear "bloopers" from newscasts aired on certain radio programs on satellite radio which repeatedly demonstrate unbleeped expletives being said on regular radio and TV. As long as the station immediately, or after a commercial break, offers an apology, most of the time they are not penalized. I've even heard expletives on live shows like Good Morning America, which they then have to apologize for.

Shall We Gather at the River - S2-E2

Corrected entry: During the abortive attack on the aliens' structure in season 1, Weaver's command car, the GTO convertible with the 50 cal gets hit, and ends up lying on its side. The second episode of season 2 shows it, intact and undamaged as Tom and Weaver are discussing their plans. I can understand salvaging the .50, but the fuel and engine oil would have leaked out of the GTO, and once on its four wheels there would be no guarantee of its starting.

Correction: Actually, unless the engine block cracked, most of the oil would likely stay inside the engine, likewise unless the gas cap broke off, most of the gasoline would remain in the tank. I had a motorcycle accident a few years ago, and after a year, I still had to drain oil out of the engine to finish rebuilding it.

Epic (2013)

Corrected entry: Early on in the movie, MK's father is showing her the bat sounds on his iPod. If you look in the upper left hand corner of the iPod's display, you can see that the service provider is SkyNet, as used in The Terminator.

Brad

Correction: Or, it could be one of the dozens of wireless and Internet providers all over the world that use the name Skynet. Too common a real-world name to assume it's Terminator-related.

Fast & Furious 6 (2013)

Corrected entry: The commander of the Army base seems surprised that the bad guys stole a tank in an attempt to secure the computer chip. However he never explains why the tank was in the convoy in the first place or why such a massive truck would be used to transport a small handheld case.

Gillbillvolume1

Correction: The convoy was a regularly scheduled convoy that the bad guys infiltrated in order to steal the chip. The reasoning was that if the chip was held by by what appeared to be a random soldier (the army brass not realizing they were compromised) in the convoy, the people after the chip would have a harder time finding it if it was surrounded by the convoy. They basically used an existing planned convoy for transport, rather than sending a single operative, thinking there would be safety in numbers. That's why the tank was in the convoy. He wasn't so much surprised there was a tank in the convoy, but that it was stolen.

Argo (2012)

Corrected entry: Watch the (classic) Mercedes leaving the Canadian embassy: from the inside we can see that the car has "Aero wiper blades" mounted, which are 21st century items.

Correction: Which one? There's three Mercedes around that scene, different models, and different years. The one I think you might be referring to is a late 1970s model (W123 model designation, built from 1976 to 1985). I owned a 1976 of the same model, and it had the same wipers. I owned it in the early 1990s. They definitely were not 21st century wipers.

Valar Dohaeris - S3-E1

Corrected entry: When Daenerys Targaryen is aboard ship, admiring her dragons catching a meal, she is wearing a necklace made of two claws connected by a chain between them. However, she is then shown in the same blue dress with a single claw hung from a small chain off a necklace chain.

Correction: She's got more than one necklace. They're dragon claws, most likely one of the wedding gifts, or carried over from the Seven Kingdoms when she and Viserys went into exile.

Baelor - S1-E9

Corrected entry: Near the end of the episode there is a shot of Daenerys walking out of the tent where the witch is performing her sorcery with the stallion. As the camera pans around her, you can see, first in her back and then in her armpit, that she is wearing a modern, brown bra under her dress. Minutes later you can see the bra strap on her right shoulder while Ser Jorah Mormont is carrying her in his arms back to the tent. (00:32:55 - 00:34:47)

Jack the Rigger

Correction: A couple of things: there's nothing saying she wouldn't wear undergarments from time to time. The series is not set in Earth's past or history, it's a fictional world that experiences multiple year seasons. For that reason, there's no reason she couldn't have what appears to be a modern bra, and we don't know what kind of materials they used for making clothes. They use magic, wildfire, as well as linen-looking clothes, leather armor, cotton clothes, etc, why not undergarments? Even if it was based on Earth history, bras have been around since ancient Greece.

Django Unchained (2012)

Corrected entry: Between the spring snowmelt and spring of 1859, Dr. Schultz and Django appear to effortlessly transport themselves from Wyoming to Mississippi, a distance of at least 1800 miles, travelling via horseback.

Randy

Correction: A horse traveling around 50 miles a day could do the trip in a little over a month. Fifty miles in a day isn't uncommon for a horse if you ride 10 or 12 hours a day. Endurance horse can cover 100 miles in a day. So, if the snow starts melting in mid March, and they get to Missouri in late April, it could be easily done and fit in the time period shown.
