Tusk (2014)

Factual error: At the diner scene at the Gimli Slider, there's an ashtray with a lit cigarette on the table. Manitoba has had a smoking ban in all enclosed public spaces for over a decade.

Dark Shadows (2012)

Factual error: On the Amtrak train, "Vicki" sees a sign advertising downhill skiing trips to Victoria, BC. There are no downhill ski areas in Victoria, or close by, and Amtrak doesn't travel to Victoria.

Killer Elite (2011)

Factual error: In the opening scene in Mexico, there is a Pontiac Fiero in the background. Fieros weren't built until 1984, and the movie takes place in 1980.

Factual error: In the scene where the Gingerdead Man is finally defeated, he fires a six shot revolver at the hero seventeen times without reloading.

Factual error: In the chase scene where Lou is running after the derelict, they pass a number of vehicles parked and driving on the streets. All of them are correct period vehicles for the late 1950s, except for a white semi truck which is from at least the mid 1990s. The grille and headlights on the truck are the giveaway. (01:23:20)

Knight & Day (2010)

Factual error: On the plane, June says she is restoring a '66 GTO, and flying to Kansas to get a triple deuce carburetor for it. The GTO didn't have a "triple deuce"; that was an aftermarket carb system made by Edelbrock for multiple car brands. If she's restoring the car, she'd be looking for a Tri-power carburetor set up. The Tri-power and the triple deuce are entirely different manifolds and carbs.

Kick-Ass (2010)

Factual error: The paramedics apply the neck collar to Kick Ass after he was hit by the car. The problem is he is already on the spinal board when it is applied. Neck collars are always applied before putting the patient on the spinal board, especially when head or neck injuries are suspected as would be the case in being struck by a car. Even if there were no witnesses to him being hit, paramedics would assume a neck/head injury if no one saw the incident. Also, the paramedic doesn't immobilize his head before applying the collar, and is far too rough in putting it on.

The Color Yellow - S21-E13

Factual error: In the scene where Lisa's great great grandmother, and the slave Virgil escape to Canada, they enter Canada across a suspension bridge, which has, on the Canadian side, the Canadian Maple Leaf flag. In 1860, Canada was not yet even a country, and the flag was the Union Jack and the Canadian Ensign. The Maple Leaf was not adopted as the Canadian flag until February 15, 1965.

Surrogates (2009)

Factual error: In the beginning of the movie, during the "news" clips, it is stated that the Dreads have reservations near major cities. They show a map of North America, and have indicated some places in Canada that have reservations. Unfortunately, most of the locations shown are not near any major cities, and in fact most shown are in the middle of nowhere. The vehicles throughout the movie are current to modern day, not even showing any new models that were released in 2010, so it is safe to assume the movie takes place in the near future. It is not at all conceivable that major cities in Canada would spring up in the next few years for the locations shown on the map.

Factual error: None of the vehicles in the logging camp, purportedly in the Canadian Rockies, have correct licence plates for either Alberta or British Columbia, the provinces the Rockies are located. They are not the white on blue that British Columbia was using in the early to mid 1980s, nor the black on yellow of Alberta during the same time period. They aren't even the red on white for Alberta or blue on white for BC that are currently used since the late 80s/early 90s. (00:23:40 - 00:25:00)

Fast & Furious (2009)

Factual error: During the first theft of the tankers, the pickups backing up to the tanks throw an A-frame over the pintle hitches to steal the trailers. Aside from the fact that it is extremely difficult to hook up that type of hitch, even when stationary, there is a closure over the hook that locks the eye of the A frame in place to prevent it from popping out of the hook. It would be impossible to throw the eye over the hook on a normal hitch that way, and the close up shots of the hitch show the top closure missing. If it's missing, the eye would pop out of the hook either braking, hitting a bump or accelerating. (00:02:00 - 00:05:00)

Fast & Furious (2009)

Factual error: There's no way the pickup trucks could haul the stolen tanker trailers, even as modified as the pickup trucks are. The gas engines they are using don't have the necessary torque to haul the probably 30,000 pounds the full trailers weigh, and the trucks do not show a heavy enough suspension to haul the weight either. Besides, no one hooks up the airlines necessary to release the trailer brakes. (00:01:00 - 00:04:00)

Fast & Furious (2009)

Factual error: When the tanker trailers are separated from each other, the trailer brakes would apply, causing the trailers to skid and/or stop. No one hooks up air lines on the pickups to prevent this from happening. (00:01:00 - 00:03:00)

One Week (2008)

Factual error: Ben stops at a rest area near Hope, BC. He is headed for Vancouver and Vancouver Island. Leaving the rest area, he turns right, as he should, to head for Vancouver. The highway sign points left for Hope, BC, and right for Vancouver. I've been at this rest area, and the direction he turns toward Vancouver is correct. However, the next shot shows him going through Hell's Gate tunnel, which is north of Hope. He would have had to turn left, go through Hope, and 40 or so miles north to go through the Hell's Gate tunnel. The next scene shows him on the ferry to Vancouver Island, which was in the direction he was headed when he turned right from the rest area. There would be no reason for him to turn around and go through the tunnel, as he was already heading in the right direction.

Factual error: Corey and Randy are riding his bike down the street, and talking about Sam's demise. As they pass an alley, there is a Mitsubishi Eclipse which is newer than 1995, the year the events take place. It appears from the rear end to be about 4 years or more newer than 1995.
