Passions (1999)

Show generally

Character mistake: On 3/10/06, Endora sneezed and Tabitha said "Bless you." Since Tabitha is a witch, and holy water and crosses burn her skin, and she can't enter a church, and any time Edna used to mention angels it caused Tabitha's entire house to shake, it should definitely be impossible for Tabitha to say "Bless you." The little girl sneezing was probably unscripted, and "Bless you" was the natural response of actress Juliet Mills.

Continuity mistake: At the end of the episode on 3/13/06, Lexie agreed to have sex with Tek in the small clearing where they were standing, while Sami was spying on them. Then, on the other side of the bushes where she was hiding, Carrie suddenly collapsed in pain. At the beginning of the episode on 3/14/06, Sami was still in the bushes and Carrie was still doubled over in pain as if no time had passed, but Lexie was at Marlena's penthouse and Tek was at the Brady Pub.

Continuity mistake: On 3/16/06, Whitney leaves the convent in the night to take a walk, and ends up at Chad's recording studio. But when Whitney first went to the convent, it was far enough away from Harmony that Theresa had to drive her there.

Continuity mistake: On 2/28/06, Bo was speaking to a flight attendant when he turned to speak with Pete and Joe. This was immediately followed by a shot that panned from Pete's and Joe's backs (as well as Bo's, even though he had been facing the other two) across the waiting room. When the shot reached the gate at the far end, the flight attendant standing there was the same woman Bo had been talking to on the opposite side of the room.

Six Feet Blunder - S1-E5

Continuity mistake: Suzanne tells her family that she is being sexually harassed by her co-worker at the colonial theme park. Her son Jody then says, "Don't worry. When I get through with this Ben Franklin guy, he's definitely going to remember the Alamo." We, the viewers, know that Suzanne's co-worker plays the role of Benjamin Franklin, but she never mentioned that to her sons.

Passions (1999)

Show generally

Continuity mistake: When the show started in July of 1999, Gwen Hotchkiss and Sheridan Crane barely knew each other. When Gwen and Ethan were on the beach in Harmony, Gwen asked Ethan many questions about Sheridan. Later, when Gwen and Sheridan met in Paris, Sheridan asked Gwen a lot about her relationship with Ethan. Both exchanges made it clear that Gwen and Sheridan were not well acquainted. However, years later, Gwen and Sheridan often spoke about having been lifelong friends, even though they had only known each other for a few years.

Continuity mistake: In July of 1999, Luis tried to convince Pilar to divorce Martin or have him declared dead, so that she could remove his name from the deed on their house in order to refinance. However, later flashbacks showed that the Lopez-Fitzgerald family lived in a cottage on the Crane grounds at the time of Martin's disappearance, which means that Martin's name wouldn't be on the deed of the house the family later moved into.

Continuity mistake: In July of 1999, in talking about Martin's disappearance, Pilar said that he left for work one morning, but never showed up there or at home ever again. However, flashbacks years later showed that Martin left Harmony with Katherine in the evening, after the Founder's Day dance that he attended with Pilar.

Days of Our Lives (1965)

Show generally

Revealing mistake: On 2/17/06, Kate was looking at a picture of Carrie and Austin on her cell phone. The cell phone wasn't held perfectly still, and whenever it moved there was a jerky movement of the picture. The picture had been added in post-production, rather than actually being displayed on the phone, and it became obvious every time the image moved.

Continuity mistake: On 2/8/06, Abe Carver said that "two years ago," the recently deceased Zack had given him "the gift of being a father." But Zack, who was originally the Carvers' adopted son, was born in 2000, over five years previously. Perhaps Abe was thinking of his second son, Theo, who was born in 2003.

Continuity mistake: On 1/23/05, Theresa told Ethan that Gwen had a CD proving that she had lied to him, but destroyed it before Theresa could use it against her. However, the proof that Gwen destroyed in Theresa's presence was not a CD, but rather a floppy disk.

Show generally

Plot hole: When Zack Brady was hit by a car and severely injured in January of 2006, Dr. Lexie Carver urged Bo and Hope to take him off of life support as Zack had no chance of recovery. To encourage them towards this decision, she pointed out that Zack's liver might be a match for Claire Kiriakis, a baby who was dying of liver failure. However, Lexie failed to mention that liver transplants can be done from live donors because the liver regenerates. Dr. Carver would certainly have known that.

Continuity mistake: On 1/6/05, one of the police officers said that the paint on Bo's SUV matched the residue on the curb. However, Zack was hit just after he stepped out from between two parked cars. Therefore, there would have been no residue on the curb at the accident site.

Passions (1999)

Show generally

Plot hole: On 1/3/06, after the smoky downdraft drove everyone from the living room, characters became separated from each other and spent several scenes trying to find one another. Shortly after everyone reunited into small groups, they received text messages on their cell phones, causing them to return to the living room. But if all these people had their cell phones on them, why didn't anybody try calling their loved ones instead of wandering around aimlessly?

Passions (1999)

Show generally

Plot hole: On 1/3/06, after a downdraft drove smoke into the living room, Julian successfully used the control panel to unseal the room. The only door that was actually shown to have opened was an opening onto an outside patio. Since the room was full of smoke, the outside exit would have been by far the most attractive option. Yet, for some reason, everyone scattered in different directions, mostly further into the house.

Continuity mistake: When Natalie gives Sara's diary to Adam, there is a close-up of the book in Adam's lap. Natalie is holding the diary with both hands, then she removes the top hand and moves the bottom hand to Adam's knee where it also rests on one of his hands. In the long shot immediately thereafter, Natalie's hands are clasped in her own lap.

Continuity mistake: On 11/30/05, Mimi's cell phone rang. Before answering the call, Mimi looked at the display and said to Shawn, "It's Belle." After she hit the button, the shot changed to Belle at the hospital. Belle was holding a land-line phone at the hospital. So how could Mimi's caller ID have possibly known that Belle was making the call? It should have said that the call was from University Hospital.

What Kate Did - S2-E9

Continuity mistake: When Jack and Ana-Lucia are talking on the rocks by the beach at the end of the episode, Ana-Lucia's hair is pulled back and is completely off her face. However, in two of her close-ups, there are two small forelocks loose in the wind near her temples, which are not present in any other shots during this scene.

Continuity mistake: At the end of the episode on 11/15/05, Roman was at Marlena's penthouse. He told Alex to leave. Alex responded that he was just trying to help Marlena. Then Alex went to leave, but Marlena asked him to stay. At the start of the 11/16/05 episode, Roman called Kate from Chez Rouge and told her that a police emergency had called him away, and that he was now at the restaurant. Back at Marlena's penthouse, the conversation was continuing uninterrupted, with John asking Marlena why she wanted Alex to stay, and Alex's story then continuing from where it left off. But if enough time had passed for Roman to deal with a police emergency and then settle in for a leisurely evening, how could the conversation at the penthouse have been at a complete standstill? Since Roman had been in the penthouse with them, and then called Kate who was still in the penthouse, Roman is still tied to the timeline of their storyline thread. Only after the call would it be acceptable for the duration of his activities to not affect the penthouse scene.
