Continuity mistake: At the end of the 3/1/04 episode, Mimi was talking to her mother Bonnie on the phone. Bonnie told Mimi that she needed her to come home to help her right away because her son Patrick was back in town. Mimi asked why her mother needed her help with that. We didn't hear Bonnie's end of that conversation, but whatever she told Mimi alarmed her enough to cut her romantic evening with Rex short. At the beginning of the 3/2/04 episode, Mimi was back at her mother's house, but was still asking to know why it was so important for her to be home, as if Bonnie hadn't told her over the phone.

Continuity mistake: On 2/27/04, Julie made a phone call and told the person on the other end that Doug believed he knew the serial killer's identity, and only then did she directly address the person as Marlena. On 3/1/04, when Marlena flashed back to the conversation, Julie immediately greeted her by name before explaining Doug's situation.

The Honeymoon's Over - S3-E1

Continuity mistake: The timeline in the episode is inconsistent. Right after the first courtroom scene, we see the three sisters at home, and Phoebe says that "Cole was an angel in that courtroom yesterday." Later, Cole says that he regrets the criminal being let go, "today." But they are talking about the same events.

Charmed (1998)

Chick Flick - S2-E18

Continuity mistake: In the teaser, Phoebe took off her messenger bag while she was sitting in the chair talking to Prue, and she left it there when she went up to get the door. For the rest of the scene at the house, including when Phoebe and Prue ran out of the door, Phoebe was not wearing the bag. Then, when we saw them outside immediately thereafter, Phoebe was wearing the bag again.

Continuity mistake: On 2/24/04, Marlena struck repeatedly with her knife when she stabbed Jan, thinking it was Shawn. But when Jan reached Nicole on 2/26/04, she had only a single stab wound.

DavidK93

Show generally

Plot hole: The week of 2/23/04, Marlena tried to kill Shawn by stabbing him to death while he slept, but Jan was in the bed instead. By this time, Marlena had killed seven people, several of them by slashing. So she was a skilled and accomplished killer. Yet somehow, when she was done with Jan, Jan was in good enough health to get out of Shawn's apartment, get out of that building, walk to the Kiriakis mansion, and get upstairs to Nicole's bedroom.

Passions (1999)

Show generally

Continuity mistake: On 1/29/04, Whitney tells Julian that she has been suspicious of him and Eve for weeks. But she only became suspicious after she saw them kissing, earlier that same day. Even though weeks had passed for the viewers, it was the same day for everyone in Harmony.

Tru Calling (2003)

Murder in the Morgue - S1-E9

Plot hole: At the end of the episode, Lindsay says that her note made one man a liar and another man gay. But how does she know that Craig lied? The first time, Craig said that he didn't get the note, and also demonstrated that he had no idea who Lindsay even was. The second time, Tru intercepted Craig and asked him to be nice to Lindsay. So he again told her that he didn't get the note, but also said that it's a shame he didn't get it, because she's really amazing, but it's too bad because now he's married. So he barely lied to Lindsay, and she would have no way to know about it. Tru didn't hear what Craig said, so she wouldn't know if he lied, either, and even if she did she wouldn't tell Lindsay, because the whole point was to make her feel better about the situation.

Tru Calling (2003)

Murder in the Morgue - S1-E9

Plot hole: Tru and Lindsay are making all their plans for the reunion on the day of the event, including whether or not they will attend and whether or not they will bring dates. But a high school reunion requires an RSVP in advance, just like a wedding or bar mitzvah. So they should have had to figure out their plans weeks earlier.

Tru Calling (2003)

Murder in the Morgue - S1-E9

Plot hole: Why did Tru have the reunion invitation on her desk the morning of the event? It seems as if she had received it that day, since Davis asks if she's going and she says no and throws it away. That's something you'd do with the invitation upon receiving it and deciding not to go. But it doesn't make sense for the invitation to have gone out the day of the party.

Tru Calling (2003)

Murder in the Morgue - S1-E9

Plot hole: How did Candace get voted Reunion Queen the first time around? She acts like a total bitch to everybody we see her in scenes with, all we ever hear about is how many people hate her and probably wouldn't mind seeing her dead, and her comments when she accepts the award ("I can sort of remember some of you.") make it clear that she hasn't kept up with anyone.

Tru Calling (2003)

Murder in the Morgue - S1-E9

Continuity mistake: The first time Tru goes to the reunion, she wears a colorfully decorated beige blouse with a knee-length black skirt. But when she jumps into the pool upon seeing Candace's body in it, she's suddenly wearing a white top and full-length pants, which happens to be the outfit she wears the second time she goes to the reunion.

Tru Calling (2003)

Murder in the Morgue - S1-E9

Plot hole: In the episode "Closure," Harrison told Tru that he had lost interest in Lindsay, and was going to break things off with her. In this episode, they're still all coupley. Moreso, in fact, than earlier. We were never shown any developments in Harrison and Lindsay's relationship between the two episodes.

Days of Our Lives (1965)

Show generally

Revealing mistake: On 1/26/04, the big, muscular animal handler was struck very lightly in the back of the shoulder, with what looked like a flimsy rubber or plastic object, and fell unconscious. It's ludicrous to imagine that such a weak "blow" could even injure that man at all, let alone knock him out.

Passions (1999)

Show generally

Continuity mistake: Early in the life of the show, around late 1999, Tabitha said that Charity would gain her full powers if she lost her virginity, and that those powers would be a thousand times stronger if she lost it to Miguel. Now, on 1/22/04, Tabitha says that Charity will only become a threat if she makes love to Miguel, and not if she has sex with someone else. Evidently, she won't come into her powers at all unless she loses her virginity to Miguel specifically.

Tru Calling (2003)

Closure - S1-E8

Plot hole: How did lily pollen get on Nicole's dress? Justin's girlfriend never touched Nicole; we saw the confrontation the first day, and Nicole just shot her and then must have left very quickly because nobody saw her. Even if Justin's girlfriend were covered in the stuff, it couldn't have somehow jumped onto Nicole.

Days of Our Lives (1965)

Show generally

Continuity mistake: On 1/20/04, John mentions to Brady that Tony framed him for murder years ago and sent him to death row. But that's not true at all. We now know that it was really Andre, Tony's identical cousin, who did that. John couldn't possibly have forgotten such a thing, because the man killed himself to accomplish the frame-up, and Tony isn't dead.

Tru Calling (2003)

Closure - S1-E8

Plot hole: Justin is a police officer. As a result, his actions at the end of the day the first time it plays through make no sense at all. His girlfriend tell him that she has shot Nicole, and that the crime will be pinned on him because she used his gun. But he knows that there will be no gunshot residue on his hands, and there will be on hers. He knows that his whereabouts were accounted for at the time of the murder, because he was at the diner in full sight of any number of people. He knows that there is not a single shred of evidence aside from the gun, which has his girlfriend's fingerprints all over it anyway. If he were to simply arrest her now, there's no way she wouldn't be the one to go down, rightly, for the crime. Instead, he decides to tamper with the corpse and shoot two bystanders, in order to protect his innocence. It makes no sense at all.

Charmed (1998)

Witchstock - S6-E11

Plot hole: After Paige changes the past, the ghost of Grams changes from a no-nonsense demon-hunter into a pacifist hippie. So, apparently, we are now in an alternate timeline where Grams never became assertive, and stayed a hippie all her life. The episode went to great lengths to establish that if Grams had stayed a hippie, she and the Charmed Ones would have all died young. But the ghost of Grams was still middle-aged, instead of decades younger, and Wyatt and Chris were still there, but they wouldn't have been if their mother Piper had died as a child.

Witchstock - S6-E11

Continuity mistake: Robin falls over backwards after Paige dumps a cannister of marbles onto the floor. But Robin wasn't moving at all when this happened. Trying to walk over marbles will make you fall. Standing still while marbles roll around and bounce off your feet? Not so much.
