Timeline (2003)

Corrected entry: At the very beginning of the film, the historical record reflects what appears to be the original series of events. However, all of the physical evidence reflects the various changes made by the characters throughout the movie. The most glaring example is the fact that history records the hanging of Lady Claire, which motivated the French peasants to the point that they successfully took the English held castle. However, they also find the sarcophagus, which contains the remains of Lady Claire and Andre Marek, from when they died some twenty five years after the battle, because he went back in time and saved her life. But if Lady Claire is in the sarcophagus, then she wasn't hanged in 1357 and it wouldn't be a matter of historical fact. Both set of circumstances can't be true at the same time.

DavidK93

Correction: The remains of the sarcophagus doesn't reveal that it is Andre Marek nor Lady Claire until after she isn't hanged and they come back. All that is revealed is that the man and woman were together and the man's ear was cut off. This means that the pair could have been any two people who were alive at that time. When Marek gets his ear cut off, he remembers what he saw in the sarcophagus and starts claiming that it was him and knows that he should stay. If Marek had went back to the present, then it would have just been a coincidence and may have even been changed to where he sees that the ear is magically there or that it did fall off. At the very end when Kate is showing them the message written, which again, wasn't revealed until after Claire didn't die, she says, 'If Marek had come back with us, what would be written here instead?'. All of this is evidence to how the sarcophagus was always going to look the same but the people inside it would change based on Marek's actions.

The Power of Three Blondes - S6-E4

Corrected entry: When Paige tries to orb to prove her identity to Chris, she can't because Margo has cast an anti-orbing spell. But that's not possible. The Charmed Ones and Chris all orbed into the room, and Margo couldn't have cast a spell after that, or we would have seen it happen.

DavidK93

Correction: They could orb in, they just couldn't orb out.

Witchstock - S6-E11

Corrected entry: When Piper and Phoebe appear in the past, Penny chides them not to "use [their] magic so openly." Immediately thereafter, Penny uses magic to turn some police officer's night sticks into flowers. That was some pretty open use of magic, right there.

DavidK93

Correction: Well, I can't remember Penny's exact wording, but even so, if someone saw Piper and Phoebe materialize out of nowhere they would've been exposed. Penny turning the nightsticks into flowers was much less obvious, because the cops would've had no way of knowing how it happened or who was responsible for doing it.

Something Wicca This Way Comes - S1-E1

Corrected entry: When Prue wonders where the cream is, the little container thereof slides along the table to her. Then the cream drains from the container and burbles up through her coffee. However, that's completely discontinuous with how Prue's power ever worked at any other time in the next three years. The cream should have needed to leap out of the container and into the coffee, simply traveling physically across space. (00:29:20)

DavidK93

Correction: Actually, Prue displays a power that is like a branch of her Telekinesis and is knows as Telematerializarion, which allows her to transport liquids through space.

halliwell8435

Prue never possessed a power called "telematerializarion." She possessed telekinesis, which caused objects to move physically through space, and later astral projection, that created a separate manifestation of herself. Other than this single instance in the pilot, Prue never had an ability to cause objects or substance to dematerialize and materialize elsewhere. Paige's orbing telekinesis worked similarly to that, but that's not the ability Prue had.

Cat House - S5-E18

Corrected entry: In episode 3-9: "Coyote Piper," Piper danced sexily on the bar while the song "Unbelievable" played. She danced only to the one song before her sisters pulled her off the bar. In this episode, Phoebe and Paige physically enter Piper's memory (magically enhanced for accuracy), and a different song plays during Piper's dance, despite it being the exact same video footage. (00:33:35)

DavidK93

Correction: The reason why the music is different when Piper is dancing on top of the bar in the memory of the episode "Cat House" is because once the series had ended, any music that was used during the course of the series the license had ended and could no longer be used, with the future reproduction of DVDs of the series. All music that was used including the theme song was replaced, all with the exception of the scenes of the many different bands that performed at P3, which were kept and along with the show's outro music, which was composed by the show production staff Jay Gruska. Any TV networks that air the show will still have the original music, but other video media platforms such as Netflix, will have the new changes to it.

Thanks for the information, but in this case, if true, it proves that the change was made in episode 5-8 as aired on TV, because I saw music other than "Unbelievable" on television, in syndication on TNT, rather than on a platform. The reason I noticed the difference was that I watched the two episodes close together in time, both on TNT.

Veronica Mars (2004)

Silence of the Lamb - S1-E10

Corrected entry: When Veronica tells Mac that she was switched at birth with a girl who was born the day after her in the same hospital, Mac repeats that the girl's birthday is the day after hers, as if she already knows what she's about to read on the paper that Veronica gives her, which is that she was switched at birth with Madison. That would make sense, because Madison was making a big deal about her birthday earlier, and it's reasonable that everybody would know when it is. However, if Mac and Madison were sent home with each other's parents, then they were also assigned each other's birthdays, meaning that even though Madison was really born the day after Mac, Madison would celebrate her birthday the day before Mac celebrates hers.

DavidK93

Correction: This is partly right, however, Mac's parents filed a lawsuit, implying that they knew about the switch, and in turn, switched the birthdates.

Charmed (1998)

Correction: Wasn't it proven that Victor was lying to the sisters in the "Thank You for Not Morphing" episode when he said the didn't know about their powers? He is constantly lying to them in the "Thank You for Not Morphing" episode. When the sisters went back in time in the Nicolas episode, the girls still had their powers and that was after Victor had already left, so he had to know about them.

Charmed (1998)

Correction: Since Phoebe tricked Emma into using the power-stripping potion on Cole by allowing her to think it was a potion to vanquish him, it can be accurately stated that Phoebe was the one who stripped Cole of his powers.

Tru Calling (2003)

Past Tense - S1-E4

Corrected entry: Luc arrives for his job interview at the Sheriff's while Tru is at the bachelor party. However, the clerk at the hotel told Tru that the party started at 7pm, so we know it's at least that late. It doesn't make much sense for Luc to have a job interview at that hour.

DavidK93

Correction: And? Is there some law that says a job interview can only be conducted during a certain time? Maybe that's when the sheriff or even Luc was available to do the interview.

Tru Calling (2003)

Morning After - S1-E7

Corrected entry: It seems strange that Tru doesn't at any point entertain the possibility that Luc could be the killer. After all, he was the last person left in her apartment before she went to sleep. And if she even thought that she could have done it herself, why does it not occur to her that her boyfriend killed the ex-boyfriend who was quasi-stalking her?

DavidK93

Correction: Her ex was in bed with her. She had blood on her. The knife was in her bedroom. Of course she is going to think she is the killer. Nobody else.

Morning After - S1-E7

Corrected entry: Why does Tru assume that Lindsay would be disappointed by Harrison's gift of a Pez dispenser? When they were shopping together, Lindsay specifically said that she loves Pez dispensers.

DavidK93

Correction: Because it is an unusual unusual to give that kind of thing as a gift to the one you love. Most couples are more romantic than that. Tru didn't know Lindsay would love it. She thought her friend would be disappointed.

Morning After - S1-E7

Corrected entry: After Tru talks to her ex-boyfriend on the roof, she returns to her apartment and asks Luc where everybody went. But before the ex-boyfriend even showed up, everybody was leaving the party and Tru was saying goodbye to them as they left. Then she went to the roof and had her five minute chat with the ex. Why should she be even remotely surprised that everybody has made it out of the apartment by the time she gets back?

DavidK93

Correction: Only a few people were leaving. She assumed others would stay. Therefore she was surprised when everyone left.

Tru Calling (2003)

Star Crossed - S1-E6

Corrected entry: The second time the day happens, Amy comes driving up right after the near-accident, because she "saw Derek's car." Since Tru's actions didn't change the timeline throughout the car chase, that means that Amy should have shown up at the same time during the original day as well. In that case, she would have witnessed Derek cause the crash that killed Adam and Jen, and there shouldn't have been a mystery.

DavidK93

Correction: Before she showed up, the car was about to go over the edge before Derek stopped himself. She showed up moments later. We don't have enough information to determine what happened originally. By the time she would have arrived the car would have already gone over the edge so she could have assumed Derek just arrived like she did. Or Derek could have easily driven away as soon as the car went over the edge without being seen.

Tru Calling (2003)

Murder in the Morgue - S1-E9

Corrected entry: Why does Lindsay know about what happened with Candace and Ronnie after graduation, while Tru doesn't? Firstly, Tru would have much more reason to have found out in the first place, since Candace was her best friend and Ronnie was her crush. Secondly, even if we accept that Lindsay found out before Tru did, how is it that Lindsay never mentioned it in five years?

DavidK93

Correction: Lindsay thought Tru knew, but didn't say anything because of how it all ended and Lindsay didn't bring it up to hurt Tru's feelings. This is evident when Lindsay says "what? you didn't know?"

Tru Calling (2003)

Haunted - S1-E5

Corrected entry: Around the middle of the episode, Paige's father tells Tru that all Paige really remembers about her molestation is "the moon and stars," which doesn't make sense to anybody. Towards the end of the episode, Tru looks across the street and sees that Paige's neighbor has a large stained-glass window of the moon and stars, and immediately realizes that the neighbor is the one who molested Paige. Paige is already there, because her near-death experience opened up the memory for her. But why didn't anybody figure this out before? The moon and stars window has been in plain sight to Paige and her father for twenty years, and evidently Paige has been ranting about "the moon and stars" for some time now.

DavidK93

Correction: She also believes her father is the one who molested her. And since her father is convinced it is all in her mind, he is not going to look for clues. Even so, he can just assume she saw the neighbors door and implanted it into her "fantasy."

Tru Calling (2003)

Closure - S1-E8

Corrected entry: Tru's endeavors to convince Harrison of her abilities don't make much sense, for two reasons. Firstly, it's ridiculous that Harrison doesn't already believe her. She once slipped him the exact card he needed minutes later in his card game, and she convinced a man to wear a bulletproof vest on the day that Harrison's girlfriend was planning to frame him for shooting the man dead. Secondly, why would he suddenly become convinced just because Tru told him when it was going to start snowing? She once told him exactly when it was going to rain, and weather forecasters do the same thing all the time anyway.

DavidK93

Correction: First of all, Harrison not believing her only proves he is hard headed. He believed them to be lucky guesses or coincidences. Lets not forget in many episodes he believed the other people were in cahoots with Tru in order to try and convince him (the waitress is a perfect example). Second of all, the thing regarding the snow, it was said it was a "surprise" snow. Which means the weatherman did not report it was going to snow. Even if the weatherman predicted snow, they cannot predict the exact time it is going to start like she did. Tru predicting snow that not even weatherman did not predict, along with predicting the exact time the snow was going to start, was enough to convince Harrison.

The Simpsons (1989)

Barting Over - S14-E11

Corrected entry: When Lisa mocks Bart in French, she sings, "Vous ĂȘtes Baby Stinkbreath." However, "Vous ĂȘtes" is the formal construction. A person would not use this when speaking to his or her brother, especially when deliberately being disrespectful towards him. "Tu es," the informal form, would be more appropriate.

DavidK93

Correction: Lisa may still be learning, and it's an easy mistake to make.

Correction: She's 8 years old. A child making mistakes is not uncommon.

Ssiscool

She is shown to have superior intellect.

Even the smartest people make mistakes. Neil deGrasse Tyson said it wouldn't be possible for BB-8 in The Force Awakens to rove over sand and chalked it up to a visual effect, only for the filmmakers to prove to him that it was not a visual effect.

Charmed (1998)

Trial by Magic - S4-E11

Corrected entry: Piper convinced Paige that they should use their powers to make Andrew confess to murder. Paige wonders why it's okay to reveal their powers to a mortal, and Piper and Leo explain to her that it's all right to use their powers on a mortal because they're trying to help an innocent. But in episode 2-19: "Ex Libris," Prue wanted to use a truth spell to force the pawnshop owner to confess to murder, and Phoebe pointed out that it is an abuse of their powers to punish the guilty.

DavidK93

Correction: There's a difference between helping the innocent and punishing the guilty. Sometimes, helping an innocent will inadvertently also punish the guilty, but the main goal for them is to stop pain and suffering happening directly to an innocent.

The Wedding from Hell - S1-E6

Corrected entry: When the Charmed Ones run up to the bedroom at the end of the episode, Prue can't find the poignard as she rummages through her black purse. Elliot, who has fallen from the bed, suddenly picks up the poignard from the ground, where it is sitting next to a black purse. The way the shot is set up, it looks as if the purse has fallen there, and the poignard fell out. But since Prue is still holding the purse that the poignard was supposed to be in, and she hadn't been to that room before, the poignard's presence on the floor is completely inexplicable. (00:41:40)

DavidK93

Correction: The purse on the ground, despite being black, is very different from Prue's purse, it is most likely somebody else's. As for the knife, the three sisters are all shoved when the bridesmaids enter and Prue's purse falls from her. We don't see the knife falling out, but its reasonable to assume that it did so since it ended up a few feet away where Elliot was.

The Fifth Halliwell - S4-E16

Corrected entry: The Seer tells Cole about the importance of the upcoming "Harvest Moon." But this episode aired in mid-March, while the Harvest Moon is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox. The full moon closest to the vernal equinox is known as the Worm Moon. (00:02:55)

DavidK93

Correction: Real time is not taken into account within the fiction of the show, so it doesn't matter what the actual date is when the episode aired.
