Witch Wars - S6-E21

Corrected entry: It is mentioned that a good witch who was murdered had the power of shooting fire from her hands. But when Phoebe exhibited a fire-throwing power in the fourth season, Leo was immediately alarmed because that is an upper level demonic power. And Phoebe's past life incarnation had a pyrokinetic power in episode 2-14: "Pardon My Past," which her cousins bound and also banned from occurring again in the future. The bottom line is, good witches don't shoot fire from their hands.

DavidK93

Correction: What about the witch killed in "Something Wicca This Way Comes"? This isn't the first time a good witch has summoned fire - the reason Leo was alarmed was because of the manner of Phoebe's power, not the fact that it involved fire. Phoebe's ancestors banned the power from occurring again within the family line, but wouldn't have had the power to banish it from all witches.

I've Got You Under My Skin - S1-E2

Corrected entry: Prue smugly chastises Phoebe for trying to use magic for personal gain when she plays the lottery numbers from her vision. Not addressed in the episode is the fact that Prue used her telekinesis to prevent the elevator from stopping at everyone else's floors when she was on her way up to her interview at Buckland's.

DavidK93

Correction: Prue is being hypocritical, but that hardly ranks as a mistake. The issue of her using her powers for personal gain is never addressed because none of the other sisters see it.

She-Devil (1989)

Corrected entry: Ruth destroys the house because Bob has listed it as one of his assets. But by the time she destroys it, he no longer lives there. She could have stuck Bob with the kids, whether or not the house had been destroyed, so there was really no reason for her to do it.

DavidK93

Correction: She destroyed the house to keep him from benefitting from it in any way. If she'd simply left the kids with him, it's possible that he might have sold the house for a nice profit. And with such obvious arson, the insurance company would never have paid out, which means he'd get no money for it that way either.

Days of Our Lives (1965)

Show generally

Corrected entry: In February, 2004, Victor was electrocuted in the tub. The lights in the Kiriakis mansion flickered, and Nicole mentioned to Brady that "It's an old house." But the house isn't old at all. It was rebuilt from the ground up in 2001 after Kate burned down the old house.

DavidK93

Correction: When the original mansion was burned down Victor and Phillip moved into another mansion while their home was rebuilt. However they never moved and have been in the temporary home ever since. This mansion could actually be quite old as we have no idea when it was built.

The One Where Rachel's Sister Babysits - S10-E5

Corrected entry: When Joey uses the thesaurus to write his recommendation letter to the adoption agency, he signs the letter, "Baby Kangaroo Tribbiani." While certainly comic, and even though the word "joey" does mean "baby kangaroo," it does not come up in the MS Word thesaurus (and it was strongly suggested that they were using Word, as they referenced the thesaurus being under the Tools menu), nor does www.thesaurus.com correlate the two.

DavidK93

Correction: Most software has a Tools menu so it's not reasonable to assume that it could only be MS Word.

Friends (1994)

The One With Ross's Tan - S10-E3

Corrected entry: Why do Rachel and Joey have to ask Chandler what it was like for him and Monica going from "friends to...more than that," when Rachel already has first hand experience with that exact situation, with Ross? While Ross was always interested in Rachel, so never had a radical shift to cope with, Rachel only viewed Ross as a close friend until she found out his feelings.

DavidK93

Correction: It's true that Rachel already went through this experience as is mentioned earlier in the episode but she always knew Ross had a crush on her as she said in the very first episode. Rachel is just asking how it was for Chandler because things are working out very differently for her and Joey compared to her and Ross so she doesn't know which one is "normal". She's just asking for advice so I don't see any mistake.

Evil Dead II (1987)

Corrected entry: After the Henrietta demon entity drags the hillbilly into the cellar, blood explodes out of the trap door. However, the fluid looks nothing at all like blood; it is extremely thin and appears to be dyed water.

DavidK93

Correction: The fluid isn't supposed to be blood - another entry points out that the creators used different colored fluids to represent slime instead of blood in an attempt to get an R rating instead of NC-17. Incidentally, this effort failed.

Tru Calling (2003)

Putting Out Fires - S1-E2

Corrected entry: On the second walk through of the day, Tru describes the fire (which hasn't happened yet) to Davis. From this description, Davis (who, bear in mind, is the supervisor at a morgue and not a criminal forensics expert) is able to provide more accurate information about the fire and its cause than were the emergency workers who brought the bodies to the morgue the first day, several hours after the fire actually happened, by which time some actual police investigation had presumably occurred as well.

DavidK93

Correction: Davis is an MD and performs autopsies as part of his job, so would be very familiar with the forensics, the morgue is directly beneath the sheriff's office after all. The people bringing the bodies in are not emergency workers, they work directly for the morgue, and Marco stated earlier that he just picks up the bodies he doesn't solve crimes, so he wouldn't have gotten that much information from the police.

Tru Calling (2003)

Past Tense - S1-E4

Corrected entry: Tara the stripper steals the wallets of all five guys who originally died (and possibly of the survivor as well). However, it makes little sense for everyone's wallets to be in the suite's other room, evidently in their jackets. Most men carry their wallets in their pants pockets, especially in the presence of a stripper they'd likely want quick access to their cash. So they wouldn't leave them in their jackets in another room.

DavidK93

Correction: But this was a private stripper, so she gets paid with a check, they weren't expected to shove ones down her panties. Moving their wallets to their jackets makes perfect sense since, when receiving a lap dance, you would want nothing in your pockets to get in the way.

The Wish - S3-E9

Corrected entry: In the alternative universe, the residents of Sunnydale are aware of the presence of the vampires, who are killing people in horrifying numbers. So why doesn't everybody move away, as they do in Season 7 when the apocalypse looms?

DavidK93

Correction: One might also ask how the Master escaped the Hellmouth without ending the world, or why Giles never called for assistance from the Slayer until now. The answer is that Anyanka has some degree of artistic license when granting wishes - we see this in season 7, when she accepts a wish to turn an ex-boyfriend into a worm and actually transforms him into a burrowing beast. Anyanka thinks Bizarro Sunnydale is more interesting with humans around to kill, so she creates a world that fulfills her interpretation.

A Witch's Tail (1) - S5-E1

Corrected entry: Leo tells Piper that "there was no one there to finish [her baby book] after [her] mother died," and that's why every page from "The Sixth Year" onwards is blank. But Piper and her sisters were raised by Grams after Patty died. Why wouldn't Grams have continued filling in the baby book?

DavidK93

Correction: Maybe seeing the baby book that Patti started and never got a chance to finish was too painful for her. It's not really a mistake, it's impossible to predict how grief will affect people.

Charmed (1998)

Correction: The Source couldn't enter the church in "Charmed Again (2)" because of the gargoyles. Not every church has gargoyles - maybe the one Phoebe and Cole were getting married in didn't, which would allow him to enter. Given how careful he was about planning the wedding, I'm sure he would have made sure of that first.

Size Matters - S4-E5

Corrected entry: In episode 3-5: "Sight Unseen," the sisters learned the importance of taking mundane precautions when it comes to their personal safety, after Prue was stalked and almost killed by a mortal human being. Particularly stressed was the need to lock their door. In this episode, however, Paige comments that the front door was unlocked, and Leo says that the front door is usually left that way since otherwise demons just break the door down.

DavidK93

Correction: It's possible that, in the year since Prue was stalked, they realised that locking the door was more hassle than it was worth since, as Leo points out, it did keep getting broken. Maybe they changed their minds - it does happen.

Corrected entry: Any time Leo uses his healing touch on someone, their damaged clothing is repaired and their blood stains disappear. Since Leo can't even heal injured animals, his power certainly wouldn't have any effect on torn fabric.

DavidK93

Correction: Since Leo fixes broken pipes with his power in "Saving Private Leo" and the P3 sign in "Size Matters", we can assume that he can heal just about anything. It's anyone's guess why he can't heal animals.

Corrected entry: Marlena murdered Doug in the graveyard in March, 2004, after luring him there by claiming there was a pay phone nearby. But Doug is a lifelong Salem resident, and should have known damn well that there was no pay phone in the area. It was ridiculous that he would follow her, especially given that he knew she was the serial killer.

DavidK93

Correction: Doug hadn't lived in Salem for a long time, he only comes back to visit for short stints. It is possible that a new pay phone had been installed in his absence.

Tru Calling (2003)

Reunion - S1-E10

Corrected entry: Early in the episode, Tru says that one benefit of reliving days is that it can help her avoid wearing bad outfits. How, exactly? If she put it on in the first place, then she must have thought it looked good. Unless she expects someone to tell her anytime an outfit of hers is unattractive, reliving the day won't help.

DavidK93

Correction: Sometimes a woman puts an outfit on thinking it looks good. However, when they go out in public and by chance walk in front of a mirror or reflective window or even just looking down at yourself, you can start to not like the outfit anymore and wish you could change. (Personal experience here).

Tru Calling (2003)

Putting Out Fires - S1-E2

Corrected entry: When Tru has lunch with Harrison the second time she goes through the day, she tells him that it will rain at three. This is information she presumably has from the first iteration of the day. Three o'clock passes without comment, and without rain.

DavidK93

Correction: We don't actually see three o'clock on either day. A short summer rain would leave no evidence after an hour or so, and wouldn't be worth discussing, especially with a building burning down at five o'clock.

Tru Calling (2003)

Putting Out Fires - S1-E2

Corrected entry: The first time Tru goes through the day, there is a scene with her and Meredith unpacking glassware. The scene serves only to provide exposition about Tru's mother. But why are they unpacking glassware in a house that appears to be newly moved into? We haven't been told about anybody moving into a new house, and there's no reference to moving or the glassware before or after. It doesn't fit in properly at all.

DavidK93

Correction: Somebody moved, or bought new glassware, and we don't know who. This doesn't really seem like a mistake, just leaving out information that isn't really that important to the story.

Tru Calling (2003)

Haunted - S1-E5

Corrected entry: The first time the day happened, Paige's time of death is given as 4:31pm. If that's when she died, then Tru should have known right away that the death experiment wasn't what originally killed her, since Tru saved her from that around 2:30pm.

DavidK93

Correction: Tru may have thought that her intervention caused her to run the experiment early because she was upset. When You relive a day, you are likely to disrupt the timing of events.

Tru Calling (2003)

Morning After - S1-E7

Corrected entry: After Tru discovers Mark's corpse and goes back to the previous morning, she considers herself to be the prime suspect in the murder. But there is never any explanation of how she thinks she could possibly have done it without remembering.

DavidK93

Correction: She was a little drunk and couldn't remember everything.
