Thank You for Not Morphing - S1-E3

Corrected entry: After the shapeshifter turned from a mailman into Andy, Prue told him about her father returning to town. Later, the real Andy came to the house, and then after a cut, he and Prue were talking about Prue's father, Victor. Andy has known Prue since high school, and therefore knows that Victor has been gone for twenty years. And since Prue only told the shapeshifter about Victor's return, the real Andy didn't know about it. So how could he and Prue have gotten onto the subject of Victor being in San Francisco, a fact that surely would have surprised the real Andy, without Prue figuring out that Andy wasn't the one she talked to earlier that day? (00:16:25)

Correction: We only see the second half of this conversation. They could have gotten onto the topic a number of ways, without Andy questioning it.

Corrected entry: In episode 3-13: "Bride and Gloom," Prue was married to a warlock in a dark ceremony, causing her to almost immediately become evil, and this caused her sisters and the Book of Shadows to become evil as well because all of the magic is connected. In the fourth season, Phoebe married the Source in a dark ceremony, and did eventually herself become evil (as evidenced by her ability to touch the Grimoire), but the evil did not extend to her sisters or the Book. So the mistake is twofold: Phoebe did not immediately turn evil, and her sisters and the Book never turned evil.

Correction: The reason evil traveled from Prue to her other sisters and to the book was because of specific magic that the dark priestess performed. The marriage in itself wasn't enough to turn them evil, it was the ritual she performed in addition to the marriage.

Corrected entry: The entire ninth season of "Dallas" was subsequently revealed to be a dream that Pam Ewing had. This opens up a vast can of worms. One glaring problem was that Katherine Wentworth had been actively scheming against Pam and Bobby throughout the eighth season; it was she who supposedly killed Bobby at the end of that season, hitting him with her car (though aiming for Pam) in a crash that killed her as well. But that happened in the dream. When Pam woke up, it was supposed to be the next morning, immediately following the events in the last episode of the eighth season before she went to sleep. Why, then, is Katherine Wentworth no longer anywhere to be found?

Correction: Katherine Wentworth does in fact show up once again in Season 11 to visit Pamela Ewing after her fatal car crash. When Bobby finds out that the somewhat insane Katherine has been visiting Pam's hospital room, he warns her not to come back and hires security for outside of her room.

Past Tense - S1-E4

Corrected entry: Tru thinks that the alcohol has been poisoned, and doesn't realise that it's really the ice until she sees that the stripper has been drinking tequila without ice all night and is fine. But she should have known that the alcohol wasn't poisoned as soon as she found out that one of the men wasn't drinking any alcohol but still died, which happened earlier.

Correction: There was one more person at the party than there were dead. She didn't know who it was and couldn't rule anything out before checking everything.

Past Tense - S1-E4

Corrected entry: When Tru goes to the workplace of the "groom" to try to get him to cancel the bachelor party, he thinks that his "fiancee" Robin sent her to spoil his fun. But why would he think that? We found out later that Robin dumped him three months ago and there is no wedding at all. I'm sure Robin is pretty far from caring whether or not he has a bachelor party.

Correction: He has to put up the act that he's still getting married, so what he says is basically BS, but it's still necessary for his plan to work.

Corrected entry: How did John expect to get away with killing the other five men? He had made the plans for the party and booked the hotel room himself, so even if he disposed of the poisoned ice after the other guys died, his guilt would have been obvious, as the only survivor.

Correction: The poison was said to be untraceable, and with no motive (nobody else knew about the girl), it would all be circumstantial.

Corrected entry: In the second season, Leo was suspended from his position as a whitelighter for a period of several weeks. But why didn't the Charmed Ones receive a substitute whitelighter during that time?

Correction: It is entirely possible that they did get a new whitelighter but not know about him/her. After all Leo only came out as a whitelighter after Phoebe caught him using magic.

Forever Charmed - S8-E22

Corrected entry: The past versions of Patty and Penny are amazed to learn that their daughters and granddaughters, respectively, are the Charmed Ones. However, both women knew the centuries-old prophecy that three sisters would eventually be born into the Warren line, and that they would be the Charmed Ones. It's conceivable that Patty, who came from a time before the birth of Phoebe, would not have thought of the prophecy at this time. Penny, however, came from after Phoebe was born, and previous flashback episodes had shown that Penny knew that the three sisters were the Charmed Ones immediately when the third sister was born, and was still convinced of the fact up until Penny's death [despite the birth of a fourth daughter to Patty].

Correction: Yes, perhaps Penny did believe the girls would eventually become The Charmed Ones, but this wasn't confirmed to her [officially]. For all she knew, one of them would refuse their powers, die young [before their powers were restored], etc. Also, she died immediately after making a potion to strip their powers [Re-witched, Season 3]. She could have simply been expressing amazement that her beliefs were confirmed about her granddaughters' destiny. After all, she does say "I always knew The Charmed Ones would come from me...well, once removed, of course. It's one thing to believe a prophecy will come true, it's another to actually witness Future Piper confirming her belief.

The original post is correct. Penny did know they'd be the Charmed Ones as soon as it was known that Patty was having a third child. That's the entire reason the warlock Nicholas made Patty bless the ring, and why Grams' bound their powers. It's been stated in other episodes as well. So Penny definitely knew, but in Forever Charmed she was shocked when Patty told her the girls would become the Charmed Ones.

Corrected entry: Kripke pumps helium into Sheldon's office to make his voice squeaky while conducting a phone interview. However, the helium is pumped in via a tube that is above the height of Sheldon's head, and helium floats in air; therefore, the helium would have accumulated near the ceiling and would not have affected Sheldon within a couple of minutes as shown.

Correction: Kripky opens 2 massive canisters of helium - enough to accumulate low enough to affect Sheldon's voice.

Corrected entry: Sheldon asks at the book store information desk if they have any books about making friends, and the employee tells him that all their books like that are for "little kids." It is unreasonable that the employee would not have been able to tell Sheldon about the very well known self-help book "How to Win Friends and Influence People," if Sheldon had not already been able to discover it through a cursory internet search.

Correction: 1. They didn't stock the book. 2. The book was published in 1936. She hadn't heard of it herself. 3. Sheldon only thought of a 'How To make Friends' book after he entered the shop, so the idea of looking up a seventy year old book on the internet is irrelevant.

The Eyes Have It - S5-E6

Corrected entry: When Phoebe had her premonition of Lydia being attacked by Cree, why didn't she immediately warn her? Lydia is a Gypsy high priestess, which Phoebe knows because she just saw Lydia perform a religious ceremony, and she also knows from the previous events in the episode that Gypsy elders are aware of Wiccan magic. But instead she said nothing and waited to talk to her sisters before doing anything about the premonition. So although they were able to save Lydia, she wound up being needlessly attacked and injured.

Correction: This was a decision made by the character of Phoebe, not a mistake made by the writers.

Corrected entry: During the "My God" number in the proper performance, one of the nuns turns to her right when all the other nuns turn to their lefts, and she looks visibly upset when she turns to face the correct direction. The actress in question appears to glance offscreen, presumably at the director to determine if they should continue, and then sets her face resignedly and continues. The actress playing Sister Mary Robert seems to react slightly as well.

Correction: This is very obviously done for comical reasons. Mary Lazarus is the one who is never quite in sync, and when she realizes that she has turned the wrong way she does a kind of "Oh, no, not again" gesture. Mary Robert's facial expression seems to say something along the lines of "That's Mary Lazarus all right!" This is definitely not a movie mistake.

Corrected entry: On 12/3/10, Rosanna said of Craig, "I wouldn't be with him if I didn't think he hadn't changed." But she was trying to explain that Craig has changed for the better, so her statement includes an incorrect triple negative by which she seems to say that she believes he has not changed.

Correction: It's grammatical error, yes, but one people make all the time. The character in question is not a linguist, so it's completely acceptable that she'd say this.

Pardon My Past - S2-E14

Corrected entry: In the Manor, in 1924, P. Russell threw a fireball at P. Bowen, who disintegrated it with her cryokinetic power. They did this in front of dozens of mortals. Since both good and evil magical forces want to prevent magic from being exposed to the world, something like that would almost never happen. And even if it did, this was all very similar to what Phoebe and Paige did in the marketplace in episode 6-19:"Crimes and Witch-Demeanors," which immediately brought out the Cleaners to wipe everybody's memories of having witnessed magic.

Correction: It was already known that the people in the manor knew they were witches. The book was there for everybody to see, and potions and amulets were lying around on the table where the Book of Secrets was, so it was no secret that they were witches.

Corrected entry: Kay Bennett became pregnant on July 24, 2002, the only time she and Miguel ever made love. She gave birth to her baby, Maria, on July 21, 2003, and the baby was in great danger because she was supposed to be very premature. Premature, after a year of gestation?

Correction: A day on this show (and other daytime soaps) can take up to a month to pass by, thereby negating any 'real' time discrepancy for a premature birth.

Corrected entry: Jimmy says that he has spent all of his money on the prostitute. But then he exits the restaurant, gets directly into a cab, and later pays the cab driver in cash.

Correction: Jimmy was just exaggerating when he says he had spent all his money, as he was in the restaurant before having paid and how would he have paid there if he HAD spent all his money?

Corrected entry: In March of 2005, when Philip was captured overseas, his wife Belle received a phone call to tell her that he was MIA. Messages like this are always communicated in person by a soldier and a chaplain.

Correction: Actually, only messages that the soldier is dead are always communicated in person. Many other notifications, including MIA status or injury can be made by telephone if it is deemed the most suitable option under the circumstances.

The Honeymoon's Over - S3-E1

Corrected entry: Piper reminds her sisters that when they visited the future, she and Leo were married. The episode in question is 2-2: "Reality Bites," and in that episode, Piper and Leo were not married, but divorced. So it doesn't make much sense for Piper to cite that as evidence that marriage might be the right path for her and Leo.

Correction: In "Reality Bites," the point in the future that the girls visit is a while after Piper and Leo had gotten divorced, but in order to get divorced, you must get married first, and as Leo even states in that episode, they were happily married for at least a little while, until the whole mess with Phoebe occurred. Therefore it is logical for Piper to believe that were it not for the damage done by the girls' use of magic for personal gain (which was remedied when they were sent back and chose not to go down that path), her and Leo could have a happy marriage.

The End's Not Near, It's Here - S4-E16

Corrected entry: During the final montage the banners at Berkeley are welcoming the class of 2012. But this was fall of 2007, so four-year students would finish school in 2011.

Correction: Ryan is in the architecture program. It is a five year program, so the year is correct.

At a freshman orientation, the welcoming banners are for the student body at large, not the small number of students who will be entering a five-year program. In addition, Berkeley's architecture program since the 1960s actually is not a five-year program, but rather a "four plus two," where students complete a non-professional bachelor of arts degree in four years, followed by a professional master of architecture degree after two more years. So that's four or six years, not five.

Corrected entry: Andy gives Prue a key as an early birthday gift, and tells her that it's a key to the Calistoga Spa, where he has arranged for them to spend the following weekend, in adjoining rooms. But where did the key come from? You get a room key when you check into a resort, not the week before your vacation. (00:00:40)

Correction: The key is just a gesture saying that is where he wants to take her for the weekend. It is not the actual key to their room.
