Continuity mistake: At the end of the previous episode, Joey's monsters, the Legendary Fisherman, Insect Queen and Jinzo were all in defence mode. In this episode, the monster cards cannot be seen under the monsters, nor are they kneeling down, which would indicate they are in attack mode.

Continuity mistake: When Odion is struck by lightning, his right hand is empty. In the next shot, the fake Millennium Rod has suddenly appeared in his right hand. (00:07:28)

Continuity mistake: When Tristan climbs onto the duelling platform to see if Joey is OK, his right hand is ahead of his left hand. The guard then tells Tristan to get down, and he is not shown moving his hands, but in the next shot of Tristan, his left hand is suddenly ahead of his right hand. (00:08:12)

Continuity mistake: When the guard tells Tristan that the duel is still active (because Joey and Odion still have 200 life points), Kaiba says "Enough," prompting the guard to rotate his body slightly and turn his head to face Kaiba behind him. When the shot cuts, his body is not rotated, and his head is only turned 90 degrees. (00:08:33)

Continuity mistake: When Odion starts to wake up again, there is a white line on the floor next to his face. When the shot cuts to a different angle, the white line on the floor has disappeared. (00:09:36)

Awakening of Evil: Part 4 - S2-E40
Continuity mistake: When Odion collapses for the second time after failing to stand up, the tattoos that are usually shown on the left-hand side of his face have suddenly disappeared. The tattoos reappear a few seconds later when he apologises. (00:11:15)

Continuity mistake: When everyone realises who the real Marik is, the Millennium Rod that Marik is holding has the eye facing towards the main characters and away from Marik. Two shots later, the Millennium Rod has rotated so that the eye is facing towards the ground. (00:16:25)
Continuity mistake: After Joey tells Mai that she didn't appear in his dream, he is walking down a hallway. In the wide shot, his left hand is in his pocket. But in the next shot, his left arm appears to be swinging freely along with his right hand. (00:04:15)

Continuity mistake: A doctor walks into a room and swipes a key card through a keypad. The keypad gets wider when the shot cuts. (00:07:15)

Continuity mistake: While Marik is erasing Tea from Mai's memory, in the shot of Marik saying "You're only losing one of them, for now," Mai's right hand is at her side. When the shot cuts, her right hand is on her face. (00:19:57)

Continuity mistake: When Amazon Fighter returns to Mai's hand, in the shot of her saying "and now to summon a new monster," her fingers are straight. In a close-up of the cards in her hand, her fingers are curled. (00:17:32)

Continuity mistake: Marik uses his monster cards Holding Arms and Holding Legs to hold Mai against a wall. When she hits the wall, she drops a trap card that is held in her hand. The card cannot be seen on the ground every other time the area is shown after this. (00:07:38)
Continuity mistake: When Marik puts Joey under a mind control spell, Mai says, "What did you do to him, Marik?" whilst Marik walks over to her. When she starts asking the question, her head is facing down towards the ground and her back is hunched. But in the next shot, her head is raised and her back is straight. (00:16:27)

A Duel with Destiny: Part 2 - S2-E45
Continuity mistake: When Mokuba is working at the computer, he looks at a monitor displaying Kaiba and Ishizu's duel. There is a white box shown at the left and right hand of the screen where the players' life points are displayed. In the next shot, Mokuba stands up to leave, and the two white boxes displaying the life points are suddenly blank. (00:04:32)

A Duel with Destiny: Part 2 - S2-E45
Continuity mistake: When Kaiba wins the duel, he says, "Victory is mine," with his right forearm and wrist raised and his left forearm positioned in front of his body. Then it cuts to a wide shot where his left and right arms are at his side. (00:17:58)

The Tomb-Keeper's Secret - S2-E46
Continuity mistake: When Ishizu is talking about Marik's past, whilst she says "leaving my brother with a dark hole where his heart once was," there is a shot focusing on Yugi, where Tristan can be seen standing right next to him. When the shot cuts, Yugi and Tristan are suddenly further apart. (00:04:02)

The Tomb-Keeper's Secret - S2-E46
Continuity mistake: In the flashback of the younger Ishizu speaking with Marik, Marik is sitting on a bed and is positioned fairly close to the wall behind him. In the next shot, he is suddenly sitting further down the bed and is further away from the wall. (00:05:30)

Continuity mistake: When younger, Ishizu tells Marik he has to be quiet; she has her right hand raised to her face. When the shot cuts, her right hand is lowered. (00:05:31)

Continuity mistake: Marik walks up to a TV and raises the book he is holding so that he can compare the photo of the motorbike in the book with the motorbike on the TV. At first, the book is upright, but in a close-up of the book and TV, the book is held at a tilted angle. (00:07:50)

Continuity mistake: When the announcer tells everyone, "Lights out in two minutes," Tristan is standing 90 degrees parallel to Yugi and Joey. In the next shot, Tristan, Yugi, and Joey are standing side by side. (00:14:17)
