Continuity mistake: When everyone realises who the real Marik is, the Millennium Rod that Marik is holding has the eye facing towards the main characters and away from Marik. Two shots later, the Millennium Rod has rotated so that the eye is facing towards the ground. (00:16:25)

Character mistake: Kaiba says he will give Joey and Odion five minutes to get back on their feet, and whoever gets up first will be declared the winner. Continuity mistake: When Tristan climbs onto the duelling platform to see if Joey is OK, his right hand is ahead of his left hand. The guard then tells Tristan to get down, and he is not shown moving his hands, but in the next shot of Tristan, his left hand is suddenly ahead of his right hand. (00:08:12)
