Continuity mistake: When Pegasus is welcoming everyone to the tournament, Yugi looks at his deck. In the shot of him raising the deck, the bottom side of the cards is facing the palm of his hand. But in a close-up of the cards, the bottom side of the cards is facing away from the palm of his hand. (00:05:44)

Continuity mistake: When Tea says, "Well, Mai, from the look on Yugi's face, I'd say having friends just did help him out. So there," her hands are level with her chest. When the shot cuts, her hands are raised and next to her ears while she sticks her tongue out at Mia. (00:10:05)

Continuity mistake: When Tea tells Mai to get lost, Joey's right hand cannot be seen in front of his chest. The shot then cuts to a side view of Joey, where his right hand can be seen in front of his chest. (00:16:25)
Continuity mistake: When Joey is celebrating getting his second star, in a close-up of his shoes, there is a shadow between his two feet. Three shots after this, the shadow has disappeared. (00:01:03)
Continuity mistake: When the fisherman is berating Joey and Tristan for eating his fish, his left fist is pointed upwards. When the shot cuts, his left fist is pointed downwards. The spear he is holding also changes direction. (00:03:12)
Continuity mistake: When Mako Tsunami says, "I treated you to dinner, perhaps you will honour me with a duel," Joey says, "he's nuts." At this moment, Joey is in front of Yugi, and Yugi is in front of Tea and Tristan. In the next wide shot, Yugi, Joey, and Tea are side by side, and Tristan is behind them. (00:06:03)
Continuity mistake: When the duel starts, Mako Tsunami summons a monster card to the field. In the shot of him placing the card on the game table, it is face down. But in a close-up of the table, it is face up. (00:07:45)
Continuity mistake: When the guard approaches the cell, he is rolling a trolley with food and drinks on it. There is a kettle on the trolley with the spout facing towards the door. In the next shot, when the guard walks into the cell, the kettle has now rotated 90 degrees in between shots. There are also two plates on the trolley that are beside the kettle, but change to being behind the kettle when the shot cuts. (00:01:42)
Continuity mistake: When the guard comes into the cell, he sees the rope made out of bedsheets, going out the window. From the interior shot, the bedsheets are in the corner of the window frame. From the exterior shot, the bedsheets are nearer to the middle of the window frame. (00:01:46)
Continuity mistake: At the start of the duel, Ghost Kaiba picks one card from the five held in his left hand. He picks the card using his right hand and holds it by the top. In the next shot, his fingers are holding the bottom of the card. (00:04:49)
Continuity mistake: When Joey reaches for the cards on the ground, all the cards are face down. Two shots later, one of the cards is face up. (00:01:25)
Continuity mistake: When Bakura is showing everyone the Millennium Ring, Joey says, "I hate magic," and his right hand is positioned in front of his abdomen. When the shot cuts, his right hand cannot be seen over the front of his abdomen. (00:18:03)
