Continuity mistake: After Roy finds Willy, when he calls Captain Stanley to help get Willy out, Roy's on Willy's left and Captain Stanley's on his right as they rush out, but in the next shot they've switched, Captain Stanley is now on Willy's left and Roy's on his right, just before the explosion.Super Grover
Continuity mistake: At the decompression chamber on Catalina Island, after John and Roy introduce themselves to Dr. Scott, the doctor removes the stethoscope from around his neck and puts it down, but in his closeup it's still around his neck, then in the wide shot it's gone, only to return in closeup again.Super Grover
Continuity mistake: Dispatched to the structure fire are Station 51, Engine 36, Engine 116, and Truck 3. While Johnny and Roy are searching the rooms for the young girl, it cuts to a shot of guys from 9, and later there are also shots of 28's and 19's guys, even though none of their companies were called to this incident. These are shots from previous episodes including 3x7, "Promotion."Super Grover
Continuity mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched to the truck fire, as Captain Stanley responds to the dispatcher Roy and Johnny get into the squad, but we see Marco, Mike and Chet head back to the kitchen instead of getting on the engine, then we see both the engine and squad responding to the incident.Super Grover
Continuity mistake: When Deke comes into the ER with the two burned firemen and speaks to John and Roy, the window behind them is on the same side as the ER's receiving entrance. Notice that outside the window there's one of those blue metal shades at the top, which does not exist in the exterior shots of that side of the ER.Super Grover
Visible crew/equipment: When Roy, John, and Vic are inside stage 3 trying to outrun Charlene, Roy starts climbing down the first ladder, and we can see equipment moving right beside Roy, then when Roy climbs back up and they find the second ladder, more movement can be seen at the bottom of the screen.Super Grover
Continuity mistake: After Roy and Vic run out of Stage 3, when Johnny backs up and bends down, we can see Charlene, the bear, on all fours, then in the next shot the bear is walking on her hind legs toward the door, but in the next shot from behind Johnny the bear is still on all fours and further back again.Super Grover
Audio problem: When Roy and John are with the unconscious man during the fire at the Atlas Hotel, Chet and Marco bring the stokes and Chet tells them that the fire is getting worse, and when Roy responds, "If we move him now we're gonna lose him," we see that Roy continues talking as Chet listens to him, but we hear nothing.Super Grover
Continuity mistake: At the structure fire, before Roy and Johnny go back through the window to look for the missing doctor, Johnny's and Roy's SCBA cylinders have no stickers, but when Johnny's cutting the door, his tank now has two white stickers and Roy's tank has one on the side, then when they're back outside the stickers are gone.Super Grover
Captain Stanley: How are you and Brice getting along?
Roy: Fine. Fine. We're getting along just fine.
Captain Stanley: Thought for a while there might be a little personality problem.
Roy: No, I can work with just about anybody. I can get along with just about anybody.
Captain Stanley: Glad to hear that.
Roy: Just might have to bust him in the mouth to do it.
Trivia: It's in this episode that the Heimlich Maneuver is used for the first time by the paramedics. At the USC game, when a guy is choking on a hot dog, John and Roy are called, and John uses the Heimlich. Up until season 6 we've seen the guys use other methods, such as the ChokeSaver which look like huge white tweezers, to remove obstructions in an airway, as seen in 4x9, "Foreign Trade."Super Grover
