Revealing mistake: At the apartment complex fire, after Johnny is knocked unconscious by the explosion, when the Pasadena fireman finds him and has to lift him up, it's funny how even though Johnny's unconscious we can see that he actually helps to stand himself up, so the fireman can lift him up and carry him out.Super Grover
Visible crew/equipment: Just after Herbert leaves the station in the morning, dispatch sounds the alarms, and when Roy and John are in the squad while the dispatcher begins talking, there are nice reflections of the camera, reflector screen (in the background), and crew members/cameraman who move around, that are visible on the surface of the spotlight. Additionally, the shadow of the boom/mic is perfectly visible on the windshield as it moves down.Super Grover
Revealing mistake: At the start of the episode, we see Squad 51 speeding toward their destination, and when the camera cuts to the woman in front of the market, she's waving her arms to the squad somewhere in the distance. But notice that while Rosa is looking to her left and waving, we can see Squad 51's reflection in the window (with the liquor bottles), as they are parked right there, just off-screen waiting for their cue to "speedily" pull up.Super Grover
Revealing mistake: When Squad 51 leaves Rampart, in the first interior shot facing Roy as John says, "Yeah, I'll tell ya, when it hits ya... Boy when I met Valerie it hit me," through the back window we can see movement at the back of the squad. But in the shot facing Roy when John says, "So that's that... That's exactly how it is," through that back window we can actually see a crew member's face (sideways), who has a mustache, right behind John's head, as he's riding on the back of the moving squad. It's so funny, have a look.Super Grover
Continuity mistake: When Johnny is writing the 'for sale' sign about his Land Rover, in the wide shot the two phone numbers begin with "853" and "352", but in the closeup a piece of paper has been glued over the phone numbers, and the new numbers now begin with "321" and "749."Super Grover
Continuity mistake: When Brackett asks Early and Morton to assist with the examination of the hallucinating veteran, in the shot from the hallway the doctors walk into treatment 1, its door has no window, but when it cuts to the shot from inside the room, its door has a window, which means they're all in treatment 2 or 3, not 1.Super Grover
Other mistake: When Brackett tells Johnny and Roy to contact the animal shelter via the disaster net, Roy asks the Animal Control guys for their disaster call, and it's given as 3-9-9-7-7-1-1, but in the closeup Roy presses channel 8 then punches in 4-2-1-6-5-3-7 on the scanner. Additionally, the Regency Monitoradio / Executive Scanner Receiver has 8 channels, so it would have been impossible to press 9, as was stated by Dave.Super Grover
Plot hole: At the end of the episode, when Johnny tells the guys that he sold one of his photographs for $25, Chet claims the money is his and points to everyone in the photo, noting that Captain Stanley, Marco, Mike, Roy and Johnny are all in the photo but Chet's not, which means he's the one who actually used the camera and snapped the photo. However, the itty bitty problem here is that earlier in the episode, during the rescue, we can see that after Marco heads up the hill that it's actually Chet who's with Mike, Johnny, and Roy carrying the victim up the side of the hill, alongside Captain Stanley. So the only one who could have really taken that photograph was Marco, which completely contradicts the whole bit at the end.Super Grover
Continuity mistake: While Johnny, Roy, and Vic try to outrun Charlene inside Stage 3, after heading down the ladder, when Roy opens the door to find Charlene standing there, Johnny's holding the red extinguisher in his right hand and the nozzle in his left hand, but next shot they've switched hands.Super Grover
Other mistake: During the structure fire, when Engine 98 rolls up we can see the large red vinyl adhered to the top of the engine's cab. Then when Truck 106 rolls up we see its company number 106 on the door, but in the overhead shot we can see the number 8 on the roof of the cab, not 106. This presumably means that the door has one of the prop dept's magnetic decals imprinted with 106, and the roof still shows the Truck company's real number.Super Grover
Other mistake: When John and Roy treat the 12 year old boy in anaphylactic shock, Early states, "Start IV D5W, 1 milligram epinephrin IV push," and John confirms the order. Then after giving Rampart a new set of vitals which are poor, Early orders, "Add 50 milligrams Benadryl IV push." But when John confirms that order he only says, "1 milligram epinephrine IV push," (which is the earlier order) and Early actually okays John's incorrect repeat of the order, even though John did not confirm the order of "50 milligrams Benadryl."Super Grover
Visible crew/equipment: When Dixie and Carol stand in the ER hallway, talking about the three accident victims coming in and being swamped, there are two tape marks on the floor near their feet, where Carol and the other nurse were standing just before Dix walked over.Super Grover
Revealing mistake: When they wheel the stretcher with the unconscious teenager from the school fire into treatment 3, the stretcher is pushed up against the ER's gurney, and when the teen's right arm gets caught between the stretcher and gurney, the supposedly unconscious teen moves his arm up out of the way. Then he lifts his left hand when the attendant removes the blanket.Super Grover
