Jurassic Park (1993)

Question: It seems like a minor plot hole, but I can't be certain in case I don't understand or missed something. After Ellie turns the main power back on and activates the individual park systems, the electrified fences turn back on. When she flees the shed, she runs through the gate of a fence that has a "danger: high voltage" warning sign, and she even touches part of the fence that's not the gate. Shouldn't the fence have become electrified?

Bishop73

Chosen answer: The "danger: high Voltage" sign is for the electrical equipment inside the shed, not the fence itself.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Question: Is there any mention in the films or books about how the extinct plants were grown (or recreated/cloned)? I've already suspended disbelief that their extraction of viable DNA is possible and I know seeds can lay dormant for thousands of years, so I can accept whatever made-up technique they claim. I'm not looking for speculation or "it's just a movie" type responses.

Bishop73

Chosen answer: It is never explained in any of the films or the novels. In the novel The Lost World it is very briefly mentioned that InGen maintains a facility where they house prehistoric plants but that is literally the only time it is brought up. It isn't mentioned in the films at all.

BaconIsMyBFF

Answer: As the DNA came from fossilized tree sap, Probably an offscreen procedure of removing plant DNA directly from that.

Continuity mistake: Muldoon lifts his gun to sight the raptor, in the next shot, he is raising the gun up and sights the raptor again.

A Thing I'll Never Understand - S6-E4

Question: Who sent Vic the barn toy? Some people on the internet say she bought it online (like eBay or Craig's list), but I don't remember seeing her be online to buy stuff. Plus, it didn't seem like she was doing much to prepare to have the baby, so it would seem odd that buying a used barn toy would be one of the first things she buys.

Bishop73

Answer: Chance.

Opiates and Antibiotics - S6-E7

Factual error: When we see Eddie Harp's driver's license, it expires 8 years after it was issued. However, Massachusetts driver's license are only valid for 5 years and expire on the person's birthday, not the issue date.

No Greater Character Endorsement - S6-E6

Continuity mistake: At the tribal council hearing, when they vote to oppose, 7 of the 8 raise their right hand (the man at the end raises his left hand). But in the close up panning shot of the raised hands, the guy sitting next to Jacob Nighthorse has his left hand raised. It's back to his right hand when they lower their hands.

Continual Soiree - S5-E9

Trivia: On the marquee they are showing "The Highwayman" (which could be one of several films). In 2016, the same year this episode aired, Craig Johnson published "The Highwayman: A Longmire Story." Incidentally, Netflix is distributing an upcoming film called "The Highwaymen." And, Callum Keith Rennie, who played Walker Browning in "Longmire", appeared in the 2000 "The Highwayman" film.

Continual Soiree - S5-E9

Continuity mistake: When Walt is at the Red Pony to talk to Henry, he drinks some beer and when he sets the can down there's a food basket to his left. But in the next shot the food basket is next to his right hand. It switches back and forth depending on the camera angle.

Objection - S5-E6

Continuity mistake: When Dave is talking to Tucker, while Tucker is on the practice tee, the number of golf balls on the ground change without Tucker hitting or adding any. When Tucker says "don't bother", there's 3 balls on the ground when previously there were only 2. He is then standing, talking to Dave, even when it cuts to Walt, Tucker is still talking and doesn't hit any balls (otherwise we would hear it). But then when he goes back to hitting the balls, there's only 1 on the ground.

The Jackal (1997)

Question: At the prison, when Witherspoon tells Declan "that's our deal", the camera is pointing towards Witherspoon and there seems to be something, or an image, behind him (to the left). What is it? It looks like a cardboard cut out of a person (to me I see a face and bare chest), only it's all grey and almost looks like Lobo from DC Comics. But I don't see anything in the wide shots that it could be. (00:25:55)

Bishop73

Answer: If you look at time 24:21, you can see two murals painted on the walls. Presumably by the prisoners. The one with his arms up striking a muscular pose is what you're seeing. The camera focused on Witherspoon in the shot you're talking about makes that image blurry in the background and gives it the effect of having dreadlocks. But it's just the muscle guy painting.

A Fog That Won't Lift - S5-E1

Continuity mistake: When Ferg sets Walt's boots down, the right one tips over. But in the close up shot of Walt putting on the left boot, the right one is standing back up. But in the next shot you can't see it (if it was still standing it would be in the shot) and then we see Walt finish putting on his left boot, the right boot is back to being tipped over.

A Fog That Won't Lift - S5-E1

Factual error: We see Donna's driver's license, the expiration date is wrong. Driver's licenses expire on the person's birthday, not the issue date. Plus, in Wyoming they're valid for 4 years and hers is only valid for 3 years.
