General questions

Not sure if this is the forum, but since there's video game mistakes listed; are there any sports video games that let you attempt to cheat or get aggressive against another player? Not talking about cheat codes, but say a baseball game that lets you use a corked bat or pine tar where you hope to not get caught. Or a football game that lets you try to trip a runner. The old Nintendo "Ice Hockey" game would let you start a fight sometimes that other players got involved, so that sort of thing.

Answer: There were button combinations on Adidas Power Soccer for PS1, that would let you handle the ball or take a dive. More often than not you would get caught but it was possible to get away with it. Some earlier FIFA games (1998-2001ish?) would let you dive as well.

Sons of Anarchy (2008)

The Pull - S1-E8

Trivia: In this episode, Francis Capra plays Jesse Murphy (one of the Oakland Mayans). In the show "Heroes", Capra also plays a criminal named Jesse Murphy. He appeared in "Heroes" a month before this episode. This episode also follows the 2 episodes featuring Agent Stahl played by Ally Walker. Walker played Capra's on-screen mother in the film "Kazaam."

Looper (2012)

Question: When present-day Seth is being tortured, it ends up affecting future Seth (which I get). They carve the address, and it appears. They cut off fingers, and then his fingers disappear. My question is why wouldn't all these scars and missing body parts appear all at once for future Seth? Especially since the injuries aren't appearing in real time for future Seth, they've already healed into scars. It seems like a plot hole unless I missed an in-film explanation or Rian Johnson explained this.

Bishop73

Answer: It's been a while since I've seen the film, so take this with a grain of salt. This is hard to explain, but the way I always took it was that when Seth failed to kill his future self, it began to continually alter time/the timeline. Thus, time has to sort-of "catch up" to the older Seth. Which would explain why his wounds appear in "real time" based on what's happening in the present... time is "catching up" to him as the timeline is further altered. If I recall correctly, something similar begins to happen with OId Joe where he begins to remember Young Joe's actions as he performs them.

Knight Rider (1982)

Show generally

Revealing mistake: In most episodes you can tell different versions of the car are being driven. In most close up shots, or inside the car, KITT has a distinct black panel on the top part of the windshield and no rear view mirror. In some shots, the black panel has a different shape. But in most wide shots where we see real life driving, there is no black panel at all and sometimes there's a rear view mirror that can be seen. You can also see a normal steering wheel in driving scenes, especially during stunts.

Hawkeye (2021)

Hide and Seek - S1-E2

Audio problem: After Kate shoots an arrow at the mafia guys, she says "told ya." Then we hear Clint/Hawkeye say "yeah", except he's on camera and his mouth doesn't move, he doesn't even change his facial expression.

Gun Fever Too: Still Hot - S9-E2

Continuity mistake: When Mac and Charlie are outside the school taking kids' cell phones, the principal comes out. We see Charlie holding 3 phones and his gun. When Mac holds up his sword saying he's going to take the principal out, Charlie points his gun at Mac and is no longer holding any phones and the principal has them. Then Charlie is seen holding 1 phone and handing it to the principal, who is holding 2 of them.

Mac and Charlie: White Trash - S6-E5

Continuity mistake: When trying to get into the club pool, Mac takes two beers from the 6-pack that are from the same side, so that the remaining beers are in a 3 x 1 configuration. Later, you see on the table and when they're walking away, the missing beers came from the front so the remaining beers are in a 2 x 2 configuration.

Jack and Jill (2011)

Trivia: Considered by many to be one of the worst films made, it "won" a Golden Raspberry for all 12 categories, including worst rip-off/remake. It's considered a rip-off "Glen or Glenda" (1953). "Glen or Glenda" (written and directed by and starring Ed Wood) was also considered one of the worst films made. In Michael and Harry Medved's 1980 book "The Golden Turkey Awards", Ed Wood "won" Worst Director.

Timechair - S4-E10

Continuity mistake: When Anders catches up to Adam on the street, the pizza delivery car is turning onto the street they're on. In the next shot, the car is making the turn again.

Knight Rider (1982)

No Big Thing - S1-E8

Other mistake: When the semi is approaching Michael head on, KITT tell Michael to hit the brake, which Michael does. Then KITT tells Michael to put it in reverse, which Michael does. But then KITT says "why reverse, we could have jumped over?" as if he wasn't the one who suggested reversing.

General questions

I've seen this countless times, most recently in the new "Hawkeye" series; someone wants to sneak into a building/crime scene that's on fire, or recently on fire, and firetrucks are on the scene. So the person will grab a fireman's jacket and helmet out of the truck as a disguise. Do firetrucks carry extra jackets and helmets? Or would someone take their gear off and put it in the truck for some reason? In the same vein do ambulances and hospitals have white lab coats lying around as well?

Bishop73

Answer: Often the driver of the truck doesn't wear turnout gear to the incident, and has his gear in the truck. It is also very common to have an extra set of gear in case someone's is contaminated or fails.
