Trivia: After 13 years and 26 films, this is the first movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to receive a "rotten" rating from Rotten Tomatoes upon release. This is somewhat ironic given that there were reports that Marvel considered it the best film they had made yet, and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige felt it could be a nominee for Best Picture at the Oscars, particularly as its director ChloƩ Zhao had recently won the Best Director Oscar for Nomadland, which also won Best Picture.

Trivia: SPOILER: According to director ChloƩ Zhao, the offscreen character who speaks to Dane Whitman in the post-credits scene is none other than Blade, who is played by Mahershala Ali.

Trivia: When Kingo doesn't want to leave because he's making a trilogy, he says they just got BTS to do a cameo. This is a reference to the South Korean boy band, BTS. Their song "Friends" is also featured in the next scene. The line made have been added in because there was a scene cut in Marvel's series "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" where actor Danny Ramirez ad libbed the line "I wish we were all more like the boy band BTS." Fans reacted by asking Marvel to release the BTS cut scene.

Trivia: Richard Madden and Kit Harington previously co-starred in Game of Thrones. When their respective characters of Robb Stark and Jon Snow bid farewell to each other, Robb Stark said to Jon Snow "Next time I see you, you'll be in all black." They are reunited onscreen in this film for the first time since Game of Thrones. Harington plays Dane Whitman, who in the comics is one of several men in his bloodline to go by the codename Black Knight, due to his all black armor.

Trivia: Portrayed as women in the film, in the comics, Ajak and Makkari are men. Similarly, Sprite, who is physically an adolescent girl in the film, has predominantly been a male in the comics, sometimes being female.

Trivia: SPOILER: When Thena is practising with Excalibur, Sprite asks her if it's the Ebony Blade. The Ebony Blade is actually the sword that Dane Whitman unboxes in the post-credits scene.

Trivia: SPOILER: The mid-credits scene sees the debut of Eros, brother of Thanos, who reveals himself to also be an Eternal. The reason why Thanos looks so different from his human-looking brother is because Thanos carries the Deviant gene.

Factual error: There is a billboard in London advertising a display of "artifacts" at the Natural History Museum. British English spells it "artefacts" and the Natural History Museum in London only holds exhibits on natural history. A display of artefacts would be at the British Museum, a completely different institution in a different part of London. (00:07:25)
