In "The Shield," Johnson gets blown up in a car by a hand grenade. In the premiere episode of season 5, the Sons are shooting against the Russians, and someone detonates a mine and shouts "mine!" Johnson triggers one and says "you gotta be shitting me" and blows up - again.

ckbyers

Trivia: The network only allowed 7 days for the filming of each episode, rather than the standard 10 days that most hour-long series receive. When they proved they were able to successfully complete episodes in that short amount of time, rather than granting them 10 days per episode moving forward, the studio made them stick with the 7-day schedule since they were able to make it work.

Giving Back - S1-E5

Question: In this episode, the guy is punished by SAMCRO for not having his biker ink covered up. Also, Clay had to have his covered in (I think) season 5 or 6 when he left. Why was Opie allowed to keep his though? He had effectively left yet in this episode he is topless and all his ink is showing. Why did he not need his covered when he left the gang?

Chosen answer: Former members only have to have their tattoos covered up if they are voted out of the club.
