Oracle - S5-E21

Other mistake: Jonathan Kent's headstone says he was born September 1, 1954. However, in "Relic", we learn Jor-El visited Smallville in 1961, where he met Jonathan's parents and his mom was pregnant with Jonathan. And we know it was him since Hiram (his dad) wanted to name their son Gene and Jessica corrects him and says his name is going to be Jonathan. Plus, if he was born in 1954, he would have been 25 when he won the high school state championship instead of a more realistic 18 if he was born in 1961.

Trivia: Additional references to the show "The Dukes of Hazzard"; Senator Jennings (Tom Wopat) drives a '68 Dodge Charger, similar to the '69 Charger in DoH. Jennings mentions Jonathan outrunning cops when he was younger by driving through Chickasaw County, a fictional county in DoH the Dukes often weren't allowed to enter because of their probation, and were sometimes chased by the sheriff. And Jack Jennings' name is a nod to Waylon Jennings, who wrote the DoH theme song and was the Balladeer.

Freak - S6-E15

Other mistake: The bowling scorecard for Chloe and Lana is wrong. It shows Chloe knocking down 1 pin (-|1) in the first frame but getting 3 points, then a spare in the 2nd frame but only getting 1 point. The math is wrong until the 7th frame where is ends up showing the correct score. Lana's score is correct, except on frame 9 it shows she knocked over 6 pins on her first ball and is on her 2nd ball, but when it cuts to her, all 10 pins are up. Plus an unfinished 9th frame shouldn't show a score.

Black Adam (2022)

Other mistake: When everything is moving in slow motion, to indicate how fast Black Adam is supposed to be moving, one of the mercenaries throws a grenade from a distance that is shown moving faster than the lightning moving through the bodies. It reaches Adam before the truck he just ripped apart starts to fall.

Suggested correction: The grenade isn't moving faster. Black Adam is moving towards it, he closes the distance. You see it only turns twice before he grabs it and gets to ground level, shove it in the guy's mouth, and then he's back in mid-air in the next shot.

DetectiveGadget85

Watch the scene again. Black Adam isn't even in the shot when the grenade is moving faster than everything else. The grenade is moving away from the guy that threw it. He's even moving as fast as the lightning.

Zod - S6-E1

Trivia: Aaron Ashmore appears for the first time as Jimmy Olsen. Aaron's twin brother, Shawn Ashmore, played Eric Summers in season 1 (and again in season 3). Aaron appeared throughout season 6,7, and 8, until Jimmy's death. Aaron would later play Jimmy's younger brother at the end of season 10. Incidentally, it was Shawn who played the superhero Iceman (Bobby Drake) in the X-Men films.

Fade - S5-E20

Character mistake: Chloe is looking at her digital wall of weird for anyone with camouflage abilities in the past and says there's no match. They act like this is a new power. However, in season 1, "Shimmer", Jeff Palmer had the ability to turn invisible because of a cream he made with kryptonite infused green roses. That should have popped up in her search. And even if it didn't, Chloe should remember the ability to turn invisible because she got the cream on her fingers, which turned invisible.

Void - S5-E17

Stupidity: Lance and Lana's actions at the end don't make sense, other than to set up conflict for the plot. Lance won't give Lana a shot. Lana steals a vile and after Lance injects Lex (to stop him, fine), he finds Lana, who is trying to inject herself. He stops her, throws her back, then proceeds to try and inject her. He could have just waited and let her do it herself, or taken the vile and left. Lana is then scared that Lance is about to inject her when that's what she wanted in the first place.

Void - S5-E17

Continuity mistake: When Lana goes to see Lance, who's packing up the serum, you see 5 syringes strapped in, 1 with serum in it. When Lance hits Lex and his case falls open, you can see the 5 syringes still strapped in, but now none have any serum in them. When Lance goes to pick up the case, only one syringe is strapped in, and it's in the wrong spot, next to some blood, and one syringe out of the strap lying in the open case.

Trivia: The name on the fake password for Lois Lane is "Margot Neill", a reference to Margot Kidder, who played Lois Lane in the Superman film series of the 70's and 80's, and Noel Neill who played her in the film serials and the '50s television series.

Thirst - S5-E5

Trivia: This episode is a nod to "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." The episode was written by Steven DeKnight, who also wrote for and worked on the Buffy series and the spin-off "Angel." James Marster (who plays Milton Fine) starred in the Buffy series. The head vampire is name Buffy Sanders, a nod to Buffy Summers. We also learn that Buffy isn't the girl's real name but changed by Chloe in her story. At the end, Ms. Kahn says people don't want to read about "slaying Buffy the Vampire."

Smallville (2001)

Hidden - S5-E3

Stupidity: When Clark is trying to sneak Lana out of the house, they walk past the front door in order to go through the kitchen door, where they get caught. It makes no sense to not use the front door. This way Lana is already outside, the whole goal in the first place, should his mom or dad see them. Not to mention the fact that Lana's car is still parked outside and Johnathan or Martha would have seen it, so they shouldn't be surprised to see her in the house.

General questions

In some movies/shows, a "bad guy" will visit someone in the hospital with the intent of killing them. One method is to smother them with a pillow until they die. Often their death is signified by us hearing the heart monitor beeping normally and then flatlining. But in reality, if someone was hooked up to hospital monitors, wouldn't other alarms go off as they struggle to breathe before they die? Wouldn't their heart-rate increase in the panic? Doesn't disconnecting monitors set off alarms?

Bishop73

Answer: Absolutely. If the person is awake whilst being smothered and hooked on to a monitoring machine, both heart rate and blood pressure will skyrocket whilst the smothering is taking place. This will send nurses rushing in. It's a common mistake in movies. Unplugging the devices will also indeed trigger alarms. Only thing you can do is turning the machine off properly (if possible without triggering anything) and do the deed before people come to check. If someone is in a coma though, the only alarm that might go off is the heart monitor when the heart stops. Then again, a coma patient usually is attached to a breathing apparatus. Detaching that also gives off alarms. Another far fetched solution is putting the devices on yourself before killing a patient. Or simply setting off a bomb or something.

Answer: They could time it so no-one would be at the nurse's station, do it quickly before anyone arrives or have someone stand outside the door as look out. Also make it look like a natural causes.
