Dinotopia picture

Corrected entry: When David is talking about what has happened in the real world at the assembly, one of the dinosaurs wants to know if they are still at war with Germany. How did they know that they were Americans or allies of America?

Correction: If the previous "visitor" told of the war against Germany, he presumably would have mentioned the countries that were involved and what side they were on. Mayor Waldo claims thousand of people have ended up on Dinotopia so, logically, some of them must have been American. Therefore, David's accent would indicate he is American.

The Guru picture

Corrected entry: Near the start of the film, when Ramu's cousin bangs on the door of the flat, he lets his Indian/American accent slip, shouting "Open up. Immigration" In a London accent.

Chris Blower

Correction: Ramu's cousin would naturally have a British accent since he himself had moved from India only recently. Many Indians have British accents because of the British influence on India and its former role in the British Empire.

They picture

Corrected entry: One of the major characteristics of 'They' is that they disrupt all kinds of things, especially electricity. Now, when Julia is driving along in her car, it shorts out when 'They' are around. All power shuts off, and the headlights power down. Since the power interference is often flickery, I can accept that when she starts the car it will at least try and start, rather than merely clicking uselessly like any car with a dead battery will. However, Julia turns on her four-way hazard lights, which blink properly the entire time the rest of the car is completely dead.

Correction: That is not a mistake because it was simply just a dream .......

High Crimes picture

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the movie, Ashley Judd's character is taking an ovulation test because she and her husband are trying to conceive a baby. Later, this theme is reinforced when Morgan Freeman's character offers her a drink and she declines, saying "I'm trying to get pregnant." Shortly thereafter, the two are in a car accident and a hospital nurse later tells her that she lost her baby. But in order for a miscarriage to have been noticed at the hospital Ashley would have had to be at least a couple of months along in her pregnancy - and surely any woman trying so desperately to get pregnant would have noticed a couple of missed periods and even more likely would have been taking pregnancy tests all along.

Correction: during the first trimester some women get what is known as spotting - like a false period. Also although pregnancy tests are usually accurate, they aren't always and it can take a couple of months before they accurately tell you whats up. These two things are both linked to high stress - something which she definitely was in.

Correction: The simplest answer would be she had an ultrasound. When a person is injured in an accident, especially one that renders them unconscious, ultrasounds are commonly performed to look for internal injuries. A pregnancy or loss of one would have been noticed by an ultrasound.

Auto Focus picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Greg Kinnear is doing his first press junket for "Hogan's Heroes", he meets Ed Begley Jr. who says he works for a radio station in the Quad Cities. If this took place in the mid-60s, the Quad Cities (a location in Iowa/ Illinois) was still referred to as the Tri-Cities.

Correction: The Tri-Cities region actually adopted Bettendorf, Iowa, as its fourth city in 1951, making them the Quad Cities, which would match the timeline of the film.

May (2002)

May picture

Corrected entry: When May is a child, she wears a patch over her left eye to hide her lazy eye. When she is an adult, the lazy eye has moved to her right eye.

Correction: Not once in the film do we witness that her right eye is dodgy, it is always the left. It doesn't change.

The Rules of Attraction picture

Corrected entry: The movie is set in the late 80's, yet when Sean is driving Mitchell's car, it is a 90's model Mercedes Benz SLK230.

Correction: The movie is most certainly set in the 90s (notice the video cameras and digital cameras employed by several of the characters, not to mention the car you noticed). The book on which the movie is based, however, was indeed set in the 80s.

Half Past Dead picture

Corrected entry: In the scene when the bad guys jump out of the plane and begin the attack on Alcatraz, we can see the sun just beginning to set on the horizon. Yet, when they land, it is nighttime and raining. Since a parachute jump lasts only a few minutes (certainly less than an hour), there is no way the sun could have set that quickly before they land.

Correction: If you look towards towards the bottom of the screen you can see it thundering and lighting. The clouds block the sun's rays from getting directly to the ground,so it becomes dark once they break through the clouds.

Changing Lanes picture

Corrected entry: When Affleck sets off the sprinkler system in his firm's building he does it by holding fire to one of the sprinklers. Sprinklers are set off by heat melting the water stopper in the sprinkler. What Affleck did would have set off one sprinkler, not the whole system.

Correction: Most sprinkler systems are kept pressured. When a single sprinkler goes off the pressure drops, this is detected and the sprinkler pumps are activated. This supplies enough pressure to burst the other sprinkler heads. Secondly, the sprinkler head in the film had a glass/alcohol stopper - when the alcohol is heated it expands, breaking the glass.

When the sprinkler head goes off flow sensors are triggered, not pressure sensors. The flow sensor triggers the fire alarm, maybe a booster pump that maintains flow not pressure. Sprinkler heads are not triggered by pressure. The system will have hookups for fire department to connect the fire engine pumps to also boost flow.

John Q picture

Corrected entry: Doesn't it seem a bit far fetched for Anne Heche to grow a heart in 5 minutes? She coldly told Denzel to let his son die, then after hearing a phone conversation, she puts him on top of the donor list.

fan before the site

Correction: She is very professional and is following the policies set by the hospital. Although she does change her mind after listening to the phone conversation, there are a number of events that help her change. Some are, the strong reaction of all the people around, to what John is doing and the angry, emotional reaction of John's wife towards her (calling her a bitch) and so on. The events taking place around her forces her to realize what she has done.

Poolhall Junkies picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Johnny and Mike first meet Johnny says he can tell Mike plays pool because there is a crease on his pants accented by a bit of blue chalk. When Mike invites Johnny upstairs to play pool (where supposedly he was playing before he met Johnny) we see the pool table is red. How did the blue chalk get on his pants then?

Correction: The pool table may be red, but the chalk used to chalk up the pool cues can still be blue.

Deuces Wild picture

Corrected entry: Annie moves in across from Bobby and Leon into her brother's place after having moved from her mother's. After the fight, Annie is helping Bobby clean up on her fire escape at her mother's house (Christmas music) yet Leon can be seen across the street. Her mother doesn't live there, her brother does.

Correction: Annie's brother is letting both his mom and Annie live there.

White Oleander picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Astrid meets her caseworker for the first time, there is a shot showing her sitting on the floor by her bed with her bare legs tucked in close. However, when the doorbell rings, she jumps up immediately and runs to answer it, now wearing jeans.

Correction: In actuality, Astrid is wearing jean shorts in the first place. You don't see them when she sits, you only see her knees, because they're shorts.

Left Behind II: Tribulation Force picture

Corrected entry: After Buck shows Ivy his apartment, look behind her when she says "Your phone is blinking." There is a crew member walking around in the background. (00:20:00)

Correction: I watched this scene myself, and that person behind Ivy isn't a crew member. It's HER. It's a mirror reflection by the big wooden door. There are two mirrors on either side of it.

Death to Smoochy picture

Corrected entry: At the end, Danny DeVito explains to Smoochy that you have to cock a gun, and he proceeds to do so. Later in that scene, when Nora and Smoochy have DeVito cornered, Smoochy cocks the gun again.

Correction: Danny DeVito does not actually cock the gun. He hesitates upon having a gun pointed at his head which is actually being cocked.

Trapped picture

Corrected entry: When the wife and the kidnapper are back at the house, and he looks at where he hit her, the bruise is on the wrong side from where he hit her.

Correction: When he hit her, her face slammed into the car under the window which is where the bruise he is looking at came from.
