Corrected entry: The movie is set in the late 80's, yet when Sean is driving Mitchell's car, it is a 90's model Mercedes Benz SLK230.

Correction: The movie is most certainly set in the 90s (notice the video cameras and digital cameras employed by several of the characters, not to mention the car you noticed). The book on which the movie is based, however, was indeed set in the 80s.

Continuity mistake: When Lauren and Lara share cocaine in their dorm room, Lara's face starts out clean. After a few quick cuts between the girls, her nose is dusted with white powder. There is another quick cut to Lauren and back to Lara, and the powder is gone, before she has had a chance to wipe it off or move.
