Corrected entry: In the scene where the turtles are taking April home for the first time, April is followed by Donatello out of the sewer. Then when April offers them frozen pizza, Mikey jumps out, then Donatello comes out after Mikey.

T Poston

Correction: *If* it were possible to jump out at the speed Mike did, then it would also be possible for him to have jumped past Don.

Phixius

In the original screenplay and cut scene, Donatello actually gets out first and helps April the Mikey jumps out and says "let's go for it". But in the storyboard Mikey pulls Donny back down and goes up ahead of him first.

Tourist Trap - S1-E6

Corrected entry: One of Sparkville's 'giant' attraction is a huge ketchup bottle - filled with ketchup. It would rather be strange to keep the stuff - or even just paint - in a huge bottle out in the open, since it would either spoil, evaporate or dry up, and refills would come too expensive for a container this size.

Correction: It wouldn't evaporate as ketchup's a paste, not a fluid. It wouldn't dry up as long as the lid was on it. It wouldn't spoil as long as it had never been opened (ketchup in the grocery store isn't refrigerated). There's no reason not to have it full. And every reason, even if they must refill from time to time, to keep it topped off: tourist money.

TMNT (2007)

Corrected entry: In the older TMNT movies, when the shredder gets crushed in the garbage truck his helmet gets destroyed. In the second movie, when he comes back, he gets a new helmet and it has sharp ridged edges. In this movie they have shredder's helmet on a shelf in one scene, but it is the one from the first movie that got destroyed, not the one from the second movie which was only submerged into water along with the shredder.

Correction: In the "revised" TMNT continuity, Shredder died in the original movie. His helmet was likely repaired to make a more suitable trophy.

Corrected entry: When the Foot soldiers hold Donatello's head in the fishtank, after Donatello pulls his head out and spits the water at the foot soldier, the Foot soldier clutches his face and groans as if he had just been sprayed with acid. But the foot soldier is wearing a mask, in which case the water couldn't have gotten anywere near his eyes.

Correction: The mask has wire-mesh eye covers. So water could easily have gotten in his eyes. His groan was just a verbalization of his annoyance and awareness of his vulnerability while temporarily blinded.

300 (2006)

Corrected entry: In the first battle, we see three layers: 1: Leonidas, 2: Spartan Soldier, 3: Mountain/Hill/Rocks. At the end of the scene, where it switches from normal to slow motion back and forth. If you concentrate at the last hit, Leonidas strikes a Persian with his shield, and so does the Spartan Soldier in the 2nd Layer. When the Spartan Soldier strikes the soldier, he falls to the ground. He (the Persian) then starts moving his sword to swing at the Spartan. While this occurs, the Spartan also starts moving to stab the Persian with his spear. There is a great synchronized movement, BUT at the end of this part the Persian soldier backs out on his sword swing even before the Spartan's spear touches his body.

Correction: The Persian was facing death. There are any number of "in-movie" explanations for his actions. For instance, he may have thought he could beg for mercy if he gave up the attack.

Bruce Almighty (2003)

Corrected entry: When Bruce enters the diner shortly after being told he had God's powers, the waitress asks if he would like some soup - the special of the day. A few seconds later in the background there is a chalk board stating the special of the day is fish and chips.

Correction: Most diners have a soup special *and* and an entrée/side dish special. The soup in the special is generally the only soup available that day in smaller diners like this one. That's why it's special.

Monsters, Inc. (2001)

Corrected entry: When Mike and Sulley are stuck in the Himalayas with the Yeti, the Yeti says that you can get milk from a Yak. This is not true as the Yak is the male of the species and the female (which would produce milk) is actually a Nak.

Correction: "Yak" is an English word borrowed from the Tibetan language. In English, "yak" is the species of animal with "bull" and "cow" being used for male and female, therefore, saying you can get milk from a yak is correct. If the Yeti was speaking Tibetan or Balti, then you might consider it a mistake.

Bishop73

Correction: Character mistake. That's something most *people* don't know, so why would a monster from another world know that?

TMNT (2007)

Corrected entry: When the warriors realised that the lord wanted to return himself and them to mortality, why didn't they just release the 12 already captured monsters instead of relying on him not to capture the 13th himself? They couldn't have been worried about being attacked because they are immortal.

Adam Bentley

Correction: But it'd still be a hassle keeping thirteen monsters under control, as opposed to one. Just because the warriors can't die doesn't mean they have nothing better to do than keep monsters from wreaking havoc on their world once they've taken it over. (That was their overall plan, after all.)

Corrected entry: During the first challange, Harry's hiding behind the rock as the dragon sprays it with it's fire. In the closeup of Harry, just before he flys away on his broom, you can see his breath from the cold. This shouldn't be if he's so near to the dragons flame.

Correction: This just isn't true. I've been to many a bonfire on a cold night. If you aren't within three or four feet of the fire, your teeth are chattering. It's entirely plausible that the air into which Harry exhales his breath is cold enough to cause that breath to condense into a fog.

Armageddon (1998)

Corrected entry: One of the things the creators of the movie did not think out is the issue of the asteroid's gravity. There are several problems with that. It is stated that the asteroid is the size of Texas. Even if we assumed it to have had 1000 miles of diameter (a really huge asteroid) and the same density as Earth it would have gravity of about 12% of Earth's gravity. In the movie it can be seen (even though stated otherwise) that the teams operate under earth-like gravity - tools, piping elements, debris all fall down with quite an acceleration. Also the astronauts move about very conveniently - much more easily than would for example on the Moon. On the other hand if we assumed that the asteroid had much higher density, which allowed it to had significant gravity, a near passing (a couple of hundred kilometers) of such a massive body alone would probably wipe out humanity just as efficiently as a direct hit. Even if we assumed that the asteroid's diameter was only 500 miles and its density was about the density of the Moon, the near passing of its two halves would wreak havoc on Earth as the influence of their gravity on, for example, ocean tides, would be up to 20 times bigger than Moon's.

Correction: The mathematicians at NASA would have taken the fragments into account and set up the "zero-barrier" sufficiently far away. This is why the earth sees no effects from them. And gravity is increased due to the asteroid spinning.

Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Other mistake: The Spider-Man outfit that Peter throws in the trash appears to either have the head attached to the body or a very long neck on the mask. It hangs too far down over the edge of trash can to be the same, separate headpiece, with a short neck, that Jameson receives from the trash collector. (Though this may be a deliberate nod to the comic book, it is still a mistake.)

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Jameson must have tucked the neck up inside the mask so it would hang correctly on the wall. If he hadn't, the extra material would have bunched up under the chin area and pushed the face upward. Jameson clearly wanted the mask to "look" straight ahead.

Phixius

This entry isn't about how Spider-Man's costume was hung up on Jameson's wall. It's about how the mask was attached to the body portion of the suit when Peter threw it in the trash.

Corrected entry: When Harold encounters Ms.Pascal on the MTA bus, he is so flustered that he exits a good 27 blocks from his stop. He then tries to get back on. Failing that, he proceeds back the way he came, rather than going forward to his stop.

Correction: Actually he's heading to the nearest bus stop to get back on another bus. Since the one he was at just had a bus, it wouldn't get another for some time.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Superman saves the plane from crushing, we can see that both of the plane wings were torn away in the air, but when they land they miracously disappear. No debris of any kind follows.

Correction: Superman guided the plane to a safe location. The wings, and other bits, would have fallen more or less straight down. Of course there's no debris nearby.

Phixius

Corrected entry: In the scene where Will Ferrell runs to the payphone in urgency to contact Emma Thompson, she is typing his actions out in narration. There is no mention on her end as to who he is calling, yet if she is the narrator and he is calling her, she should be aware of this (or at least aware of who is calling if not her). The entire scenario revolves around the fact that he is trying to call the author in desperation, yet she is genuinely shocked when she hears her own phone begin to ring.

Correction: Because, to her, it's just a book. She is shocked because she doesn't know that all of this is *really* happening. If you wrote a book about aliens attacking you, you'd be pretty shocked if they then did, right?

Corrected entry: In the scene where Evan wakes up as a frat boy in bed with Kayleigh he falls out of bed; as he hits the ground and in the following second his white boxer shorts move to the side and the result for a second is quite revealing. Hellboy (2004)

Corrected entry: When Hellboy raises what's left of Ivan from the dead he still has eyes, teeth and a gray beard. This is highly unlikely since these parts of the body are usually the first to decompose.

Tobin OReilly

Correction: Uh, no. Teeth are among the last things to decompose along with the rest of the bones. As far as eyes and hair, we don't know the conditions the body was under; it is possible those parts remained.
