Corrected entry: When the fellowship has just finished battling the Uruk, a "dead" orc can be seen to look up as Aragorn accidentally kicks him while running past towards the dying Boromir. Look at the middle left of the shot when Aragorn runs to notice.

Correction: So he's not dead, he's dying.

Blood Diamond (2006)

Corrected entry: Danny Archer references the term "Bling Bling" in the conversation with Maddy early in the film. Because the song "Bling Bling" (of which the term is based) was released after the turn of the century, they would not know the term "Bling Bling" in the late 1990s, when the movie is set.

Correction: Actually, that song was released in 1999, and the term itself was coined by the Cash Money Millionaires a few years before. Danny Archer could easily have heard this term at the time the movie is set.

Apocalypto (2006)

Corrected entry: The journey of captured people and the war party, brings them on the right side of a river (looking downstream), and they proceed crossing it from right to left. Later, on his journey back home, Jaguar Paw jumps into a waterfall and swims out on the opposite bank again crossing this river from right to left, and yet soon we learn that he is back in his neck of the woods, despite the fact that he crossed two rivers.

Correction: Rivers can divide up and rejoin themselves. Jaguar Paw took a much different route home than the one he left by. It's a big jungle.

Apocalypto (2006)

Corrected entry: After Jaguar Paw is captured and tied up by the raiders, he looks over towards the hole and the man he killed. When a guard goes over to check the man, you can see that the "dead" man is very obviously breathing.

Correction: So Jaguar Paw didn't kill him outright, he just knocked him unconscious. If the man isn't dead yet, he is certainly in the process of dying.

Wild Things (1998)

Corrected entry: When Kevin Bacon types in the password for the account of Matt Dillon, Gloria Perez doesn't even say a thing about it. Surely she would have questioned how Bacon knew the password for someone else's account.

Correction: She knows what kind of cop Bacon's character is. It doesn't surprise me at all that she isn't surprised by this.

Wild Things (1998)

Corrected entry: Later in the movie when Officers Ray Duquette and Gloria Perez are in the police station, they walk through a door marked Display ID beyond this point. In this scene, although everyone else is displaying a clip ID on their chest, Duquette and Perez are not wearing ID tags or their badges at all.

Correction: Maybe they don't care, or maybe they just forgot. The two are shown to have a penchant for rule-breaking. This is a character mistake/decision, not a movie mistake.

Wild Things (1998)

Corrected entry: In the scene where they are all sitting in the court room and the camera is panning across their faces, you can clearly see a guy sitting next to the aisle giving a thumbs-up to the camera.

Correction: He's just idly tapping his hand on the back of the bench and his thumb happens to be extended. He's not "giving" anyone the thumb's up, he's just acting bored.

Corrected entry: Attila the Hun needs Ahkmenrah as a translator since he cannot communicate in English. Yet he understands Larry's untranslated talk about Attila's childhood and even bursts into tears.

Correction: Atilla almost certainly speaks some English, having spent every night for fifty some years among English speaking individuals. Plus, Larry was using crude sign language during much of this speech. I'm sure he'd have been able to get the gist.

Epic Movie (2007)

Corrected entry: When the old Lucy puts on the coat, it is covered in frost. However in the next shot, it is completely clean.

Correction: It's not frost, it's snow. And there's enough time between shots of Lucy that she could have shook it off.

Corrected entry: In the final battle, the fleets line up with the ships side by side (like infantry). I don't think you can find a single battle in history that a fleet sailed into battle in rows. They sail front to back, following each other. The ships obviously shoot side to side so if they attack as shown, all their firepower is pointed at their own ships, not the opponents.

Correction: All they have to do is turn sideways, and they've just made a solid wall of firepower. If they sailed in one behind the other, it would take forever to move the last ships within firing range. This may not be how it was done historically, but then this is far from a documentary.

Phixius

Corrected entry: In the scene where the keymaker gets shot after trying to escape all the Smiths in the hallway, he is shown to have at least 4 bullet holes in his chest. When he is speaking his dying words to Neo and Morpheus he is breathing deep and clear, this would be impossible without choking up all the blood in his lungs.

geoffrey schick 1

Correction: Because he's a program, and he knows it. He knows those aren't really bullets, just more programs. And he knows that those "bullet" programs are designed to render his programming inoperable. That's why he's "dying," but he's not choking up his blood because he knows he doesn't really have any.

The Fifth Race - S2-E15

Corrected entry: After the Ancient device releases O'Neill and he collapses, Carter checks his pulse. She is kneeling to his left, yet reaches for the right side of his neck. Anyone trained in basic first aid and CPR (as Carter should be, with her field medic training) is taught that you always check the pulse on the same side of the body where you are sitting, so as not to risk compromising the person's airway by accidentally compressing the windpipe.

Correction: I have had First Responder training, which is a step above Basic First Aid/CPR in the levels of EMT training, and there was never a mention of this. If you know what you're doing when you check for a carotid pulse, then you run no risk of compromising the patient's airway as the arteries you're supposed to be pressing on are well behind the trachea.

Spider-Man 3 (2007)

Corrected entry: In the scene when Eddie enters J Jameson's room without permission to show him the Spider-man photos you can see Miss Brant pick up her phone in frustration. But in the next shot you can see Miss Brant looking inside through the glass.

Correction: So she decided not to call Jonah, and just watch to see how he reacted to Brock's intrusion.

Spider-Man 3 (2007)

Corrected entry: When Spiderman is fighting Venom at the start of the battle to save MJ, his mask is removed and thrown from the building. Within 1 minute, it's magically reappeared on his head.

Correction: No, he is thrown to the ground, conveniently landing next to his mask, at which point he puts it back on.

Star Wars (1977)

Corrected entry: When Luke and Ben first see R2D2 and C3po, Ben says he doesn't remember owning or know the droids, but we know he knows them from episodes 1 - 3.

Correction: Obi-Wan never says he doesn't know the droids. Just that he never owned them. R2-D2 claimed to have been owned by Obi-Wan, Luke passed the comment along to him, and Obi-Wan denied it. It's not a mistake. Even if Obi-Wan were lying, it'd still just be a character decision.

Phixius

Correction: He's not lying. Obi-Wan never owned a droid. Anakin owned R2-D2 and the only other droids Obi-Wan is to use were in ships and presumably owned by the Jedi Order.

Rent (2005)

Corrected entry: During 'Out Tonight' you can hear several men yell "Mimi!" Strippers go by false names for safety reasons, so Mimi would never have given her real name to customers.

Correction: Several people I work with go to the local strip club every weekend. They know most, if not all of the strippers' real names as well as their stage names.

Equilibrium (2002)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Preston tells the men to shoot the hinges and lock, It shows guns being pointed at four hinges and 2 locks.

Correction: There's not enough detail here to constitute a mistake. Does the door *have* four hinges and two locks? Is there perhaps more than one gun pointing at each hinge and/or lock?

Corrected entry: Throughout the movie Michelangelo is using rope type chucks. During the scene when he is playing the nunchuck game with the foot soldier. He does a finger spin move; at this time the nunchuck is chain style. After, it is rope again.

Correction: Michelangelo's nunchaku are braided cord throughout the film. When he is spinning one on his finger, it is the individual braids that resemble links in a chain.

Spider-Man 3 (2007)

Corrected entry: Whatever happened to Spiderman's spider's sense? Throughout the movie, Spiderman was caught quite off guard, such as in the first encounter with the New Goblin. Shouldn't the spider sense given him some sort of heads up?

Correction: You could actually see realization dawning on Peter's face just before Harry snatches Peter off his scooter. Harry was moving too fast for Peter to react in time, though. Venom doesn't trigger Spider-Man's spider-sense because the symbiote was once a part of Peter.

Corrected entry: Whenever the Vogons speak, their lips move in sync with the English that we hear on the soundtrack. They shouldn't do, because the Vogons are supposed to be speaking Vogon, not English - we just hear English through Arthur's babelfish.

Moose

Correction: Since we have no knowledge of the Vogon anatomy, we can't say what sort of movements they must make with their mouths to speak. Their mouths syncing with English only means that there's a similar number of syllables in the English equivalent of the Vogon word.
