Kung Fu Panda (2008)

Corrected entry: After the Furious Five go after Tai-Lung, the next morning shows Shifu very calm, not at all concerned about where his pupils are. Since the Dragon Warrior prophecy is a major plot point (it is stated repeatedly that ONLY the Dragon Warrior can defeat Tai-Lung), Shifu would know the Five would have no chance against him.

Brad

Correction: Shifu doesn't seem concerned because he doesn't know yet where they've gone.

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: When Edward rescues Bella from the four frat boys, she has a large black purse. When he drops her off at the police station, she doesn't have the purse. Also, when he follows her into the woods, she throws her backpack down by a tree. They go all over the mountain and never get her backpack back.

Correction: We're never shown it but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. We don't see every meal consumed by Bella, but she eats; we don't see every hour of her sleeping, but she does.

Corrected entry: The first time you see the Prince Nuada out of puppet form, there is a continuity shift on his hair when he slams the spear on the ground.

Correction: Not specific enough. What changes?

Phixius

I believe they are referring to his hair being flipped forward over his head when he lands with his head down, to the next shot where the prince's hair is hanging straight down and fixed.

Quantum of Solace (2008)

Corrected entry: When Bond is changing his clothes in the bathroom, he puts them in the sink where there is a movement sensor, which should have made the water turn on and soak all the clothes in the sink.

Correction: Every single one of these things I've ever encountered required me to wave my hand in front of it for several seconds to get the tap to turn on. These sensors are, apparently, not all that sensitive.

Iron Man (2008)

Corrected entry: When Obediah inserts the arc into his suit, he twists it and a sound effect is heard that denotes that it's locked into place, yet when he moves his hand away, you can see that the arc moves, almost as if to fall out.

Correction: I watched for this and could not see it, even in slow motion.

Juno (2007)

Corrected entry: In the beginning when Juno's father is identified as working in heating and air-conditioning and is shown walking past his work vehicle, the side indicates "MacGuff's HVAC". When Juno goes for her first ultrasound and then shows it to Mark (the adoptive father), the ultrasound says "Juno McGuff" at the top. (00:15:20)

Correction: The radiologist who entered the name "McGuff" into the system misspelled Juno's name. Happens all the time.

Ghost (1990)

Corrected entry: Willy gets inside Molly's apartment very quickly after Carl gets her to go out and take a walk with him. He's unable to get what he came for, and then goes straight to his house, where he contacts somebody on the phone - it can only be Carl. His explanation for why he couldn't get it? "She came home." But since it can only be Carl he was talking to (this is made clear by Carl's visiting Willy later on) Carl knew perfectly well that Molly came home. It's Carl that Molly was with - he'd have known full well that she left his company.

Correction: There could have been any number of other reasons why Willy couldn't get what he came after. He was simply "stating the obvious" since Carl asked.

Corrected entry: When Capt. Jack Sparrow escapes from the prison in the coffin and shoots the crow, he grabs the leg of the body from inside the coffin to use as an oar. The only problem is that they would probably throw out the dead bodies within a couple of weeks after they died, and therefore the bodies wouldn't have decomposed much. But the leg from the cadaver that was in Jack's coffin was nothing but bone, and would have had to be decomposing for quite a long time. I believe that they had him use the bone leg to add a theatrically gloomy element to the scene.

Correction: There are quite a lot of coffins being thrown to sea. It seems more likely that they wait until they're out of room to keep the corpses, before they go to the trouble to box 'em up and toss 'em out.

Phixius

Corrected entry: When the agent ambushes Jason and Marie in Jason's Paris flat, they have a really impressive fight sequence. During this fight, Jason breaks the other man's leg. When he gets up off the floor after the fight and runs to the window to jump out, he doesn't have even the slightest hint of a limp.

Correction: Jason doesn't break the leg, he hyper-extends the knee. This hurts his opponent quite a bit, but as is also demonstrated by the pen-stabbing, the assailant is able to ignore the pain to do what he needs to do. It's part of his training.

Phixius

No, he broke his leg below the knee.

Correction: If he had broken it... you would see the bone protruding. Even if he had broken it. If he was able to ignore the pain there may have been no need for a limp. Also running a short distance would make it difficult to identify a limp.

Casino Royale (2006)

Corrected entry: When Bond is chasing the bomb maker at the construction site, why did he bother chasing him up to the top of the building? Wouldn't it have been better to just wait on the ground until he came down?

Correction: No. From the top he could quickly exit to any side, given his proven agility and prowess, leaving Bond scrambling to circumvent the entire site and risk losing him completely. Also, Bond needed the message he'd received on the cell phone. Give him a break from the chase and he'd have time to consider deleting the message after committing it to memory.

Corrected entry: During the battle on the skiff, Luke kicks the air and his opponent a few inches away falls back.

Correction: That's the beauty of the force: no physical contact needed.

Phixius

Corrected entry: When Sarah tells the others to use dirt to put out the fire as that doesn't make smoke, Nick proceeds to completely ignore her and just puts water on and makes lots of smoke.

Correction: So he ignored her advice. That's not a movie mistake.

Corrected entry: When Jack and Will are escaping at the end, Will loses his sword while fighting the executioner and doesn't have one for the remainder of the sequence. But, when the redcoats surround them, he suddenly has a sword in his hand again.

Correction: Just a moment before Will and Jack are surrounded, when the two back into each other, one Marine points his sword beside Will. He promptly grabs the sword, smacks the Marine in the face and knocks him out, thereby gaining a sword.

Corrected entry: At the very end, Marty tells Doc that he'll have to back up as they don't have enough roads to get up to 88mph. The next shot we see shows the avenue stretching off at least a mile into the distance, with plenty of road to reach that speed. Since the DeLorean was able to achieve 88mph in a parking lot, it should be fairly obvious to Marty that there is no issue with them not having enough road.

Correction: He's talking about road without intersections. It'd be less than desirable to ram into the side of someone's car at 87 miles per hour.

The Island (2005)

Corrected entry: Dr Merrick states that "Everything we expose them (the clones) to, the games they play are designed to manage aggression". However when Lincoln and Jordan are allowed to play a virtual boxing game that the virtual Lincoln's teeth are knocked out. They fight for high scores and spectators (other clones) cheer them on. Hardly seems an effective aggression management plan. (00:53:55)

Correction: It's actually the perfect aggression manager. Whatever aggravations you feel, you can take out on a virtual counterpart or drown them in the excitement of watching a bout.

Sunshine (2007)

Corrected entry: Capa escapes the Icarus II spacecraft using the spacesuit to reach the bomb payload. When the bomb payload begins to move away from Icarus II, the rocket thrusters damage the Icarus II spacecraft to the point of destruction. When you see the spaceship explode you can see that the front part of the craft where the shield dish is has no thrusters or engine in which to move away from the sun and the bomb payload. I assume that the craft designers orginally intended for the crew to be able to survive the mission and escape, but how is this possible if there is no engine or thrusters for the ship to move away from the sun? Turning the ship round is no option, as the sun would destroy the ship, hence the need for the dish which acts as a shield.

Correction: The ship has its own thrusters that rotate in whatever direction needed. The payload thrusters did not damage the ship to the point of destruction. The ship was destroyed by the sun.

Wall-E (2008)

Corrected entry: During the final fight between the Captain and Auto, the ship gets tilted and all the occupants slide to one side. Assuming that the inside of the ship has some sort of artificial gravity (given that, when outside, Wall-E and Eve experiment weightlessness), the pull would always be perpendicular to the ship floor, independent of the tilt of the ship relative to an external observer. There is no "up" in space.

Correction: This has previously been submitted and corrected, but apparently the original submitter removed the entry. It was decided that Auto had total control over all the ships navigational functions, including the artificial gravity. Auto must have adjusted the pull of the artificial gravity to keep everyone away from the device that would initiate the ship's return to Earth.

Corrected entry: In The Mummy Returns, Alex O'Connell has blondish hair and a British accent. In the 3rd installment, Alex has brown hair and an American accent. (00:10:05)

Correction: My hair was blond when I was a kid but now it's brown. His father is American and it's clear the family travels a lot. He could have very easily picked up an American accent over the years.

Gilmore Girls (2000)

Those Are Strings, Pinocchio - S3-E22

Corrected entry: In the episode in which Rory graduates from Chilton, she was talking to Dean, early in the episode. He said he has a nephew who was going to be the ring bearer in his wedding. But, Dean only has one sister and at the time, she was only about 10 years old. Maybe 12, but not old enough to have a three year old son. And, never, in any other episode, does Dean have or mention another sibling. How could he possibly have a nephew?

Correction: Actually, early in the show's run, Dean uses the word "sisters" when giving Rory the details about his family. We only ever see one sister, but that would presumably be because the other is older and no longer lives with her parents.

The Dark Knight (2008)

Corrected entry: In one of the final scenes where Batman goes into the building where Joker is conducting his "social experiment" with the two ferries, Batman's "sonar eyes" appear and re-appear through many different cuts.

Correction: That's because they're being activated, deactivated, reactivated, etc. They don't stay visible because they don't stay on.
