Wonder Woman (2017)

Corrected entry: When the Germans invade Themyscira, the destroyer can be seen behind the small boats entering the protective screen, but after the German troops from the small boats are killed by the Amazons, the destroyer is never seen again, nor does it fire any shots to support the troops.

chengchoi

Correction: The destroyer is seen beginning to capsize as it enters the barrier. We don't see it again because it sunk.

Wonder Woman (2017)

Corrected entry: Steve would have been more affected by the mustard gas when he went to the village, he would have suffered longer effects than just coughing and then being completely fine when he walks away.

Correction: That wasn't mustard gas. That's the new hydrogen-based gas. It apparently does not have any lingering affects, the way mustard gas does, if a person survives long enough to escape it.

Phixius

Corrected entry: When Frank (the thunderbird) releases the amnesia liquid over New York, every No-Maj's mind is wiped, including those inside buildings. If that were to happen, there would not have been any time for a goodbye with Jacob, as the rain would have wiped him the second he was above ground. If the spell had given time for a goodbye, everyone inside buildings should remember the Obscurus attack and the spell would be pointless.

Correction: It struck me as a bit of a reach when I watched it, but the film establishes the manner in which the spell affected people indoors by showing them all interacting with water in some way (drinking it, showering in it, etc). Since Jacob had not yet been directly exposed to water, his memory remained.

Phixius

Corrected entry: When Newt chases one of his creatures through Central Park, the park is heavily covered in snow and people are ice skating on a frozen pond. At any other time directly before or immediately after this scene and throughout the movie, there is virtually no snow anywhere in comparison to what's in the park, and people are dressed for moderate weather.

raywest

Correction: You can see snow piled up on stoops and in alleys. It's just been stomped into slush, and swept or shoveled away where people walk and cars drive.

Passengers (2016)

Corrected entry: When Jim first goes out of the ship and is hanging from the tether, he is emotional and begins to cry. We see his tears run down his cheek as they would if he were standing on earth. In zero g the tears would just hang at the inside corner of the eye. But since he was swinging at the end of the tether the tears should fall straight out and land on the inside of his visor.

Scoutmaster253

Correction: Surface tension keeps the tears on his cheek and they travel to the "high point" on his cheek (the point furthest from where the tether is anchored). This point is directly below his eyes, meaning the tears coincidentally travel the same path they would have under normal gravity.

Phixius

Corrected entry: Clarice is told that Miggs is dead; he swallowed his tongue. That is impossible; the worst that can happen is a person can bite their tongue.

kh1616

Correction: "Swallowed his tongue" is common parlance for choked on his own tongue, which is entirely possible. It does not mean he literally swallowed his tongue.

Fuller House (2016)

Correction: She must have meant her parents stopped having daughters; no "younger sisters".

Phixius

Not sure this explanation makes sense. When parents "stop" after a certain kid is born, it's likely they would try to prevent another pregnancy altogether - not take a chance on what the gender of the next kid would be. A pregnancy here could have easily produced another sister... just happened that this next offspring was a boy.

Wrong Turn (2003)

Corrected entry: In the beginning, the Mustang has a PA plate on the front and back. PA only requires one plate and it's on the back.

Correction: That's a minimum requirement. The law doesn't say you can't have a plate on the front as well.

Phixius

When states require only 1 plate, they do not issue 2 plates.

Bishop73

Corrected entry: Following the "Large Marge" scene, Pee Wee enters a restaurant with a plaque honoring Large Marge. The dates suggest Marge would have only been 37 at the time of her accident. Alice Nunn would have been 58 at the movie release. The character is portrayed as a woman over 50 years of age.

Adam Hills-Meyer

Correction: It's a bar, not a restaurant, and if there's a plaque honoring Large Marge it's safe to assume she was a long-time, frequent customer. So you've got years of alcohol use aging her prematurely. Truckers in the 80s were often heavy smokers. So you've got years of tobacco use aging her prematurely. Finally, truckers sit in the sun beating through their windows all day every day. So you've got years of UV light exposure aging her prematurely. Large Marge looked like a trucker in her late 30s-early 40s to me.

Life of Pi (2012)

Correction: I'm older than Pi was supposed to be, and my hair is much thicker. I can go over a week between shaves with only a minimum of visible stubble.

Cube 2: Hypercube (2002)

Corrected entry: About half-way through the film, there is a montage of the captives climbing through various cube doors. Part of that montage shows them emerging from the floor, which should be impossible, as the cube cells are a good 15 feet tall. There is no evidence or indication that gravity changes direction in any of the Cube movies, so emerging from the floor should be impossible.

Charles Austin Miller

Correction: There are handles along the floors, walls, and ceilings which allow the captives access to every door in every room. Additionally, gravity, as well as space and time itself, are shown to shift wildly from room to room throughout this film.

Phixius

Corrected entry: When Indy is desperately trying to rescue his father during the desert tank chase, he successfully explodes one of the tank's cannon barrels, but then becomes (impossibly) entangled on the exploded barrel by his bag strap. Indy even dangles his entire weight from the strap for a couple of shots. For the Indiana Jones films, Indy's bag is and always has been a government-issue gas mask bag, made of raw canvas with decidedly weak cotton seam stitching (the gas mask bags were never expected to last more than a few years in service). For the movies, the bag's actual canvas web strap was replaced with a 60" length of seasoned and durable bridle leather (which can easily support the full weight of an adult human). The problem is not the strength of the leather strap; rather, the problem is the strength of the canvas bag stitching. The bag's strap attachments were never designed or fabricated to support full body weight, so the bag stitching should have ripped out immediately (and fatally) when Indy dangled from the cannon barrel.

Correction: The fact that Indy has had this bag since at least 8 years before they were produced notwithstanding, it's obvious he replaced the strap himself with something more durable due to the rough nature of his work as an explorer and archaeologist. It stands to reason that he used a much more durable thread and stitch when he did this for the same reason.

Casino Royale (2006)

Corrected entry: When Bond shoots Mr White in the leg, he drops his mobile, but it's there, so why doesn't he pick it up and call someone - an ambulance, maybe - instead of crawling in agony to his front door?

kh1616

Correction: He's crawling for cover. What good is an ambulance, or anyone else, going to do him when he's obviously being shot at right that very moment? Wasting time uselessly fiddling with his phone would have been the stupidity.

Phixius

Corrected entry: When Tommy is murdered the guard fires 2 quick successive shots. The rifle is a bolt action rifle and could not reasonably fire two shots that quickly.

Correction: This is the edited for TV version. The original version cuts to graphic shots of blood coming from Tommy's wounds. When these scenes are edited out for television, the gun seems to have been fired more quickly.

Dracula 2000 (2000)

Corrected entry: Dracula is repeatedly shown as having the ability to defy gravity. Given this, it makes no sense that Mary is able to hang him by his neck until the rising sun kills him. If he can defy gravity, he should easily be able to float upward and loosen and unwrap the cable from around his neck.

Phaneron

Correction: Hanging from a noose, like silver and sunlight, are weaknesses he has due to the circumstances surrounding his death as Judas Iscariot.

Phixius

Corrected entry: During the chase on Jakku the Falcon skims the sand a few times. With the weight and speed of the Falcon the bottom cannon should be ripped off but it isn't. Also later when it crashes on Starkiller Base there appears to be no apparent damage - impossible after such a hard landing, compacted snow is like concrete.

Correction: The Falcon is made from extremely high-grade materials and has been upgraded with additional military grade armor plating, not to mention the kinetic energy particle shield which the ships maintains around its hull. The physical hull of the ship never actually came into direct contact with any of the objects the ship crashed into.

Phixius

Corrected entry: The crashed star destroyer on Jakku defies the laws of inertia - the command tower would have collapsed onto the main body when hitting the planet. By the look of the bent up front during the chase it hit pretty hard.

Correction: We don't know the circumstances of the crash or the structural integrity of the fictional components used to build this fictional craft. If the ship had free-fallen from orbit to the planet's surface, yes, it really ought to be in much worse shape than it is. The fact that it isn't indicates that the descent was not completely uncontrolled; more of an emergency crash-landing than a total crash and burn.

Phixius

Corrected entry: When Mewtwo collects the trainer's Pokemon in the special cloning balls to be cloned, he takes away Ash's Charizard. Why would Mewtwo take away Charizard to be cloned? He already has a clone of Charizard so he wouldn't need another one.

Correction: Being as this is worded as a question, here's the answer: Mewtwo is simply collecting all the Pokémon. He's not taking inventory just then.

Phixius

Correction: Then why doesn't the cloning machine clone another Charizard? If the cloning ball with Charizard went down to the cloning machine then surely that Pokémon would have been cloned.

Equilibrium (2002)

Corrected entry: At the end of the movie, when Preston enters the father's room, he first checks for the presence of guards before proceeding. But after a few steps, guards appear from behind every room's column. Given Preston's starting position, it would have been impossible for him to not spot the two guards hidden behind the two columns flanking the door, as both of them were hiding on the same side as Preston himself. Otherwise, they would have been visible to the viewer, given the fact that the camera angle is facing Preston. In other words, it is impossible for those two guards to be hiding both from Preston and from the viewer's point of view.

Epigenis

Correction: Preston saw the guards. He expected guards. He knew he could handle the guards. He didn't proceed into the room because he mistakenly thought the coast was clear, he proceeded because he was not intimidated.

Phixius

This doesn't make sense. If he was not intimidated at all, then why stop and visually search for threats for several seconds? The most logical explanation is just that the director wanted us to think the soldiers were hiding from Preston's view, with the issue being they couldn't hide from OUR view at the same time. This correction is not justified.

Epigenis

Corrected entry: As the vehicles pull up to Cade's home and the men get out, there are fingerprints all over the door frames that shouldn't have been there; obviously they were from other takes.

Movie Nut

Correction: They surely don't have their vehicles scrubbed immediately following every use of the doors, so there's absolutely no reason at all fingerprints wouldn't be visible from other times they've gotten in and out of the vehicle.
