X-Men: First Class (2011)

Corrected entry: When Magneto lifts the submarine, he is the point from which the submarine hangs. But Magneto is hanging from the jet, so basically, that is carrying the submarine. And there is no way a jet, even one that powerful, can lift a submarine in mid-air.

Correction: You're misunderstanding how Magneto's power works. If his body were the anchor, he would not be able to ride pieces of metal that he levitates; that would be like trying to pick yourself up by your belt loops. It's his power alone, not his body, that supports the objects he manipulates.

Hot Tub Time Machine (2010)

Corrected entry: The delay in the group's realization that they have traveled through time is implausible. Someone in the group would have encountered a mirror before Lou finally does shortly after Phil shows up with their luggage. Additionally, on their way to go skiing, they would have noticed that the lodge's rundown condition would have improved significantly overnight.

Correction: A bunch of guys are not necessarily going to check the mirror before they head out. They certainly noticed the improvement in the lodge's condition, but think about it: if it were you, would you immediately assume time travel was the cause? Of course not.

The Haunting (1999)

Corrected entry: When Nell is in the Caleope room (the roundabout room) she sees the reflection of herself with the swelling belly to display pregnancy. The reflection has a ring on her right hand. Nell does not have a ring on her left hand which would correspondent with the right hand in the mirror. (01:15:20)

Correction: She doesn't have a swelling belly outside the reflection either; the ring is part of the illusion.

Crank (2006)

Corrected entry: When Chevy gets 'Defibrillated' in the hospital by the doctor, his finger is gripped around the trigger on the gun he is holding. In real life, this would have caused the finger to spasm, pulling the trigger and shooting the doctor.

Correction: Defibrillation does not cause spasms, it causes your muscles to lock in position. In truth, Chevy could not have pulled that trigger if he'd wanted to while being defibrillated.

Men in Black (1997)

Corrected entry: In the pawnshop right after Jeebs' head grows back, K tells him, "I want you off the next transport off this rock or I'm going to shoot you where it don't grow back". Yet Jeebs appears in the next movie. (00:20:35)

Correction: So Jeebs clearly ignored K's threat. Suits his character-type just fine.

Mortal Kombat (1995)

Corrected entry: During the final battle, Shang Tsung morphs into Liu Kang's dead brother Chan to cause Liu Kang to let his guard down. Not only does Shang Tsung clumsily do this right in front of Liu Kang, but Liu actually at first believes it to be his brother.

Correction: He knows his brother's soul was consumed by Liu Kang, so he knows Chan is "in there" somewhere. That combined with the pure emotional shock of seeing his dead brother standing before him, led him to doubt his next move. Perfectly understandable.

Arthur (2011)

Corrected entry: At the end of the movie, during the wedding scene as Susan is walking with her father down the aisle toward Arthur, the song being played is not the "Wedding March" (a/k/a "Here Comes the Bride". Instead, the celebratory music is being played which is always played after the completion of the marriage ceremony.

Correction: Wedding songs are chosen at the discretion of the wedding party. I haven't been to a wedding in well over ten years that used any of the traditional music at all, so it's hardly surprising to me that they'd used this song at that time.

Rio (2011)

Corrected entry: Blu is drinking hot cocoa. But the point is that hot cocoa is poisonous for birds.

Correction: Pure cocoa is toxic to most animals in sufficient doses, this is true. But there's nothing saying that the cocoa in Bu's cup is real cocoa or, if it is, undiluted enough to kill him. There's simply not enough information given in the movie to call this a mistake. Blu thinks it's cocoa, that's all we're told.

Correction: It could actually be cacao, which is a "chocolate" safe for animals like dogs. Look it up.

Corrected entry: Throughout the film, Atom's shadow function switches back and forth between mirror and mimic for no apparent reason or command from Charlie or Max.

Correction: It's mirror when his shadow is facing him head-on, mimic when his shadow is visible but not actually facing him.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992)

Corrected entry: I know that the film is reduced to Harry and Marv's falling on Kevin's traps, but in reality, putting head with fire in flammable fuel would burn Harry to the bone - not just smear him.

Correction: Gasoline itself does not burn - only the fumes it gives off burn. Once the flames were submerged, they'd be immediately extinguished - resulting only in the minor burns you see in the film.

The Bourne Identity (2002)

Corrected entry: After Matt Damon leaves the boat, his character looks around wondering where to go. When he walks off and a close-up of passing civilians happen, if you looks closely, you can see him immediately hiding behind the passing vehicle, giving the illusion that he suddenly "disappeared". A closer inspection shows a portion of his orange coat and even his footsteps below the vehicle keeping up with its speed. (00:09:45)

Correction: Even within the context of the film, he either hid behind the vehicle or teleported away. Since there's nothing supernatural about this series, we must assume the former was intended. Therefore, it's no mistake to see him doing precisely what he's supposed to be doing.

28 Days Later (2002)

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the film during the first shot of the Westminster bridge(showing the side of the bridge and the city) everything is completely still. However, just under the center of the bridge, on the path, you can visibly see a bicyclist ride by between the white boats.

Correction: And why shouldn't there be a bicyclist? People are still alive out there, and traveling by bike would certainly be much safer than going on foot.

Corrected entry: After little Mae finally pees for Abilene, her mother impatiently snatches her off the potty. However, it is obvious her little ruffled panties were never pulled down. They were already up.

Correction: They were at her ankles.

Corrected entry: When John Travolta's character is using the binoculars, he is looking through the wrong end.

Correction: No he isn't. They're just shaped weird because they're compact binoculars. Thicker in the middle for a better grip, they taper off around the lenses. The ends you look through have a uniform diameter, and that's the end he's got to his eyes.

From Paris with Love (2010)

Corrected entry: The scene where Caroline escapes from the apartment is a very weak attempt to further the plot. Wax previously eradicated the entire staff of the Chinese restaurant, the gang in the alley, and a whole terrorist cell. I understand this was probably used to further the plot, but if he could single-handedly annihilate all of the previous foes, he should have easily been able to kill Caroline who was by herself after Wax shot and killed her partner at the dinner table.

Correction: He didn't kill her right away because he needed information from her first. What her target was, who she was working with, etc. Remember at every encounter (except the street gang) Wax kept one person alive to interrogate. He got distracted trying to prove to Reese that she was in fact a terrorist, handing over his gun in the process. Caroline opened fire with her own gun to cover her escape through the window. If Wax had his weapon, or if she hadn't had one, or if he'd even been close enough to disarm her, then yes Wax absolutely could have stopped her. But he didn't, she did, and he wasn't. So she very logically got away.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)

Corrected entry: When Mearing asks Sentinel about the Space Bridge, he says that only he can control it. Yet in the battle of Chicago, he orders other Decepticons to restart the link after Optimus broke it and it's not even a Transformer who restarts it. (00:51:05 - 02:19:00)

Correction: Only Sentinel can control the bridge, as in determine where the two ends open. This does not mean it can't simply be switched on by another.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)

Corrected entry: On the moon, Optimus and Ratchet are talking normally and the little cars they brought with them are also making all kinds of sound. Odd seeing how there is no atmosphere on the moon, therefore no sound.

Correction: They are communicating via radio frequency, or some similarly functioning if much more advanced technology. We, the audience, hear them for the same reason we hear both sides of a telephone conversation in any other film: It's just how movies work.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)

Corrected entry: In the shot where the Autobots are approaching over the freeway, before the shot of "Major, in coming SOS from Autobots" you can see a driver behind the wheel of Optimus. (00:48:55)

Correction: All Transformers, be they Autobots or Decepticons, are capable of producing a holographic projection of a driver, pilot, etc. This was demonstrated in the first film.

The Matrix Revolutions (2003)

Corrected entry: Why was the Hammer the only ship capable of blowing the EMP when Zion was overrun? Where were all the other ships of Zion? (01:21:05 - 01:22:30)

Correction: The other ships were either destroyed or being overrun at Zion, where they were called to at the beginning of The Matrix Reloaded so the crews could help with the impending invasion. Only four ships were absent from Zion at the time of the invasion: Nebuchadnezzar (destroyed by Sentinels), Logos (crashed on the way to The Machine City), Vigilant (crew killed within the Matrix) and Mjolnir, nicknamed "The Hammer".

I Am Legend (2007)

Corrected entry: In the ending scene after driving from New York to Virginia, Anna and the kid get out of a shiny SUV that looks like it just came out of a car wash.

Correction: Not a lot of traffic throwing up road debris on account of 99% of the world's drivers being dead. It's also very unlikely they took any unpaved roads to get there too. So, why would the car be dirty?
