Galaxy Quest (1999)

Corrected entry: When Jason is fighting the pig creature, he leaps over it and rolls on the ground. He is wearing short sleeves, but the next shot of him shows that his arms are perfectly smooth and unscratched even though he took a pretty rough tumble in the sand.

Correction: I've wrestled in sand plenty of times with my friends and never had a big problem with the sand causing injury. I should think one "rough tumble" wouldn't do anything noticeable.

Corrected entry: When Lyra rescues Billy Costa, she realizes that he does not have a daemon. however, as soon as Lyra and Iorek reach the Gyptian camp, Ma Costa comes running at them and says "We'll find your daemon, Billy." How could she have known that his daemon was missing if the first people to encounter Billy were Lyra and Iorek?

Correction: The people in Lyra's world can tell by looking at someone that they don't have a daemon. It is explained at length in the book, but apparently not so well in the film.

Corrected entry: It's established that if a person's Daemon gets hurt, the person who that Daemon belongs to also gets hurt. Mrs. Coulter slapped her Daemon hard across the face enough to send it flying to the floor, so her actions should have resulted in her getting hurt, yet she wasn't.

Correction: Humans and their daemons share sensations. Coulter felt the pain, to be sure. She just didn't react to it. However, you can plainly see a handprint on her face when the camera pans around to show her left cheek.

Finding Nemo (2003)

Corrected entry: In the scene where the water in the whale is going down, Marlin asks the whale, "Do I taste good, Moby?" a reference to the popular whale book, Moby Dick.

Correction: Far too obvious to be trivia.

Hairspray (2007)

Corrected entry: When Tracey turned on the TV, it came on immediately, in 1962 TV's took at least a minute to warm up before the picture came on.

Correction: If it had been off for a long time, yes. But Tracey's mother is home all day. She probably had the TV on before Tracey came home so it didn't need to warm up.

Sliders (1995)

The Exodus (1) - S3-E16

Corrected entry: At the end of this episode, Quinn finds Earth Prime. He knows this is the right place because of the necklace his mother is wearing that he left for her before he began sliding. When he 1st approaches the house, he opens the gate and it squeaks which is his 1st clue that he was home. However at the end of the episode titled Into The Mystic, they thought they went home only to find the gate not squeaking. After they left it was revealed that the gardener had oiled the gate. If in this episode they are back home, then the gate should no longer squeak.

SAZOO1975

Correction: Oil wears off. That's why the gate started squeaking to begin with, prompting the gardener to eventually oil it.

Vacancy (2007)

Corrected entry: The rug covering the trap door in the bathroom was always replaced back over the door.

Correction: No, it wasn't. I was even looking for this because I thought they should do that, but they had no way to do it.

Shooter (2007)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Wahlberg delivers his recon report to the secret service agents on the likely assassination locations, there is a huge flag hanging in the airplane hangar. It is behind him as he leaves after delivering his report. The flag is hung backwards - - would never happen in a real government location. American flags are always hung with the blue union section in the upper left to a viewer.

Correction: Wrong, wrong. An American flag on soldier's right shoulder is always on the top right, colors lead into battle, a hanging US Flag colors ALWAYS top left. The US Flag code does not have exceptions you're suggesting. Most likely, they reversed negative post-production, and didn't think about the flag's orientation.

Correction: The flag is hung so that the union is in a relative position to other things or directions, not so it is automatically to the left of the viewer. For instance, on a street that runs north and south the union must be to the east. So, if you're heading north the union would be to your right. It would only be to your left if you were traveling south. The flag isn't hung incorrectly in this scene, we're just seeing it from an unusual angle.

Doomed - S4-E11

Corrected entry: While fighting in the Hellmouth scene, you can see Buffy fighting the demon but in the background Spike has his vampire face on but when the shot goes back to him its his normal face again.

Correction: He can make the change pretty quick.

Corrected entry: The new baby they have is a boy and has a blue blanket in the hospital. At the end of the movie when they are saying bye as he walks to the bus station the baby is in a pink blanket.

Correction: Character choice. I've got a son and a daughter. I've just wrapped my son in a pink blanket and my daughter in a blue one.

Corrected entry: When Marty and Doc first discover the gravestone in 1955, watch closely as Marty puts his hand on it. It wobbles slightly, revealing that it's a prop made of lighter material as opposed to actual stone.

Correction: Old gravestones may wobble.

Corrected entry: When they're on the road and you see Frodo, there are barely any leaves around his feet. It cuts to the shortening road, then back, and Frodo's feet are surrounded by leaves. And when they're on the road, the hill they drop off is steep and green. When they hide, the verge is no longer grass-covered and is more level.

Correction: Frodo's feet become surrounded by leaves because the wind was blowing in his direction while he looked down the path. And the hill looks different because of the perspective we're viewing it from.

Corrected entry: American police may be so lackadaisical that they don't attend the scene of a car racing noisily around a car park, followed by a loud crash of a van hitting a shed, but I find it hard to believe that they don't investigate continuous machine gun fire from the same area. There are occupied building all around the car park, and there is plenty of time for them to turn up.

Correction: They'd have to receive a call from someone to be made aware of the situation. If the neighbors thought it was just some teenagers screwing around with firecrackers, which is more likely (because how often to Libyan terrorists open fire right next door?), the police wouldn't exactly rush to the scene lights blazing and sirens blaring. There's very few minutes from when the Libyans start firing to when Marty goes back to 1955, and who knows how far away the nearest police cruiser is.

Premonition (2007)

Corrected entry: Sandra Bullock is watching as her husband gets killed in the accident at the end of the movie, and the accident takes place on Wednesday. But at the beginning of the movie, a cop informs her that her husband is dead, and it's supposed to be Thursday. If she was there when it happened, why would he be telling her about her husband's death one day later?

Correction: Because she left, and no one knew she was there.

Phixius

Why wouldn't she have called 911 after the accident? Makes no sense she would go home and not report it. She also called her husband back after she got his message the day after he died and she left him a voicemail. Why would she do that if she knew he was dead?

The Illusionist (2006)

Corrected entry: After faking Sophie's death, why didn't Eisenhiem and her just leave town? The prince thought she was dead and never would have looked for her.

Correction: Eisenhiem wanted to settle his vendetta with the prince.

Minority Report (2002)

Corrected entry: In the footage of Anderton murdering Leo Crowe, we get a good look of an old lady with a pipe and a guy with glasses being behind the window. With all their technology, databases and awareness of where everybody is, they never bothered to look those two up? They could have narrowed it down easily. More than that, we learn Leo Crowe was listed in the hotel register. Could they not look him up as well and find out where he could be? It just seems they made too many mistakes for a department which could stop murderers in a few minutes.

Correction: Their "awareness" of where everyone is comes from retinal scans, you can't scan the retina of a psychic vision. And who says they didn't look for a Leo Crowe. Only thing, I wonder how many Leo Crowes there might be in a huge city like this.

Casper (1995)

Corrected entry: Casper and his uncles became ghosts with no clothes on, but when Doctor Harvey and Cariggan die, they appear as ghosts in the clothes they died in.

Correction: Casper demonstrates that ghosts can shapeshift (he even gives himself a cape) so these four prefer, for whatever reason, to appear without clothes.

Silent Hill (2006)

Corrected entry: After Cybill is burned alive and the ladder is pulled back up, you can see that her corpse is completely burned from head to toe, while the ropes holding her and the wooden ladder on which she is suspended are completely unburned and are still holding her body.

Correction: This is Alessa's purgatory for all those who hurt her. It's not the "real world" so the normal laws of physics don't apply. Shortly after this scene Alessa comes out and attacks everyone with barbed wire tentacles: the normal laws of physics don't apply.

Smallville (2001)

Obscura - S1-E20

Corrected entry: Chloe has been put in a coffin and buried underground. However the ground above her is covered in grass. Chloe was not buried for no more than even a day. There should not be grass over her grave, and there is no signs of it being freshly dug.

Correction: It is possible to pull up the grass and its roots with the topsoil and replace it after a hole has been dug. Usually its done to keep your yard from looking bad until new grass can grow. In this case it was done to hide the grave.

Corrected entry: When Andy escapes from Shawshank, and we see the shot when he first comes out of the sewer pipe, watch his bag that he tied to his ankle. It appears to float. Considering that Andy packed up his Stone Chess set in this bag, it's very unlikely that the bag would float even in the slightest.

Correction: Depends on how much air was trapped within the bag and how dense the sewer pipe's contents were. That wasn't just water, you know.
