Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: Edward saves Bella by standing between her truck and the careening van. He may be strong enough to not be crushed, but he's wearing ordinary shoes and has an unremarkable body weight. The coefficient of friction between his shoes and the pavement wouldn't keep him from being shoved into Bella's truck, putting a dent in it as well.

Correction: Pushing his body down on impact, using the van as leverage, gives him additional resistance from sliding. Also, this is just how super-strength works in every movie, book, etc that features it. It's supernatural, so applying laws of nature to it is pretty redundant.

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Bella and Edward make their way across the car park together meeting everyone's stares, it is a hot day. However Edward does not glitter in the sunlight as he is meant to.

Correction: "Hot" does not equal "sunny".

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: After she's bitten by James, we see Bella in the hospital as she reflects on her life with Edward. During this, we see them together lying down in the snow as they look into each other's eyes, although at no time during the film did this happen.

Correction: We don't see every moment of every day of the character's lives.

Correction: How is this a movie mistake? So he left someone out.

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Edward jumps off of Bella's car, he slips in and out of a British accent in the line, "So you're worried, not because you'll be in a house full of vampires, but because you think they won't approve of you."

Correction: The character Edward has lived outside the U.S. in the hundred years he's been a vampire. It's not unlikely he'd have had to pick up an accent somewhere to blend in better.

The Dark Knight (2008)

Correction: No, it doesn't; but the gasoline Joker poured all over the money does.

The Holiday (2006)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Amanda meets Graham's daughters Olivia and Sophie for the first time, Olivia says "We never have grownups here that are girls." But what about Graham's sister Iris?

Correction: They're children. To them, Iris isn't "a girl", she's just Aunt Iris. They mean none of their father's friends ever want to play with them.

Speed Racer (2008)

Correction: Given the highly stylized nature of the film, in this case the all-out psychedelic final moments of the race, it's impossible to determine how far Speed actually traveled after crashing the GRX, and therefore impossible to tell whether or not the parts even should be visible.

Speed Racer (2008)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Racer X is attacking Cruncher Block's truck, at one point, you can see the level of the water in the piranha tank start to go down when the tank hasn't been shot yet.

Brad

Correction: It's just sloshing around.

Corrected entry: When Joel is showing Wednesday and Pugsley the trading cards, Debbie's card shows her exactly as she looks now. Yet at the beginning of the film, we find she disguised herself and eluded the authorities for years because she is a master of disguise. How could the cards have such a photo?

Correction: Apparently she recycles her disguises.

Wall-E (2008)

Corrected entry: When Wall-E first finds the plant, he delicately places the plant with some dirt inside of the shoe. Later on in the film, when Wall-E is in free floating in space, he takes out the shoe to demonstrate to EVE that he has the plant. The dirt so delicately placed in the shoe would surely float freely in zero gravity.

Correction: The dirt would have since become fairly well packed. Even so, it would require some sort of inertial force to "rise" out of the shoe. Wall-E was being careful.

Teen Titans (2003)

Show generally

Corrected entry: Notice something about the shoe soles of various characters in the series? They tend to resemble either the respective heraldic signs or what their wearers stand for. Beast Boy, for instance, has paw prints for a profile; Billy Numerous and Kid Flash wear their symbols on their soles.

Correction: This is like pointing out that the "R" on Robin's tunic stands for "Robin".

Ghostbusters 2 (1989)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Ray and Egon are in the dark room analyzing the photos they took at the museum, watch as they run the one photo through the "spectral analyzer". As they put the photo into the machine on the left side, the photo goes throught the machine at a very slow pace. You can see the photo as they are talking about what food they should get. The photo is about halfway through the machine on the left, when the entire photo magically appears on the right hand side of the machine and is finished being analyzed. When they pull the completed photo out of the right side of the machine, you can see the original photo still being analyzed on the left side. (00:56:26)

Correction: They're analyzing all the photos. The machine is obviously capable of scanning another photo while analyzing a previously scanned photo.

Phixius

Ray says that he'll run "this wider shot" and Egon specifically tunes the machine for it; it'd make no sense for the machine to print a different picture from the one they are specifically discussing.

Hancock (2008)

Corrected entry: When Hancock saves Jason Bateman from being hit by the train, he flips the car onto its roof, crushing it. In the next scene, he drops Jason Bateman and his car off at home and the roof has no damage to it.

Correction: First, the car is never shown to be "crushed". Second, Hancock is easily strong enough to pound out any dents that would have been made.

Corrected entry: When everybody moved to the side of the boat to exit onto the dock, the boat should have leaned in that direction from the imbalance, but it stayed steady.

Correction: The boat's ballast keeps it balanced to prevent tipping.

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: In the end credits, Emmett's name was typed wrong. It was Emmet.

Correction: Since it doesn't appear in print anywhere in the movie, and movie/book discrepancies are not valid movie mistakes, this isn't a mistake.

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: When Bella sees the Cullen family for the first time, when the family is all sitting together, you see Rosalie eating a carrot. Then when Bella goes to the Cullen house, they say they don't eat food.

Correction: Keeping up appearances. People would notice if they never ate anything. But no, they don't 'eat' food.

Phixius

Corrected entry: In the subway scene, when Prince Nuada is training his right hand is closest to the blade, but then all of a sudden his left hand is nearest to the blade.

Correction: It's a simple, very quick switch to make. I just watched the scene and Nuada even appears to be winding up for the maneuver just before the angle changes.

Phixius

Corrected entry: During the jail break scene, the ELF cuts the jail door hinges with tinsel. Then they lift the door out of the way. When they pull the door out, the bolt is flush with the door and was not locked.

Correction: The bolt is flush because it was cut too.

Phixius

Corrected entry: If every time there is a series of seizures in the earth, the temperature rises to 120F (enough for the oceans to evaporate), how have the birds and dinosaurs survived? The birds I'll consent may have flown to a cooler area, but T-Rexes are big cold-blooded animals that would have dropped dead long before the humans dehydrated.

Correction: Adaptation. This whole underground world is filled with unique species who have adapted to survive in their environment. It's not explained *how* they survive, it's only shown that they do. It's science fiction, after all.
