Comments made in brackets are corrections from other visitors. As such, any aggressive/abusive corrections (and I get quite a few) written as if they're comments I've made myself will be ignored. At the start when Myers says, "These? You're reading these?" and Abe nods in response, his eyelids are easily visible blinking down, like a normal humans. But for the rest of the film they seem to come from an angle. [When Abe nods at Myers, his eyelids blink from an angle. You may need to zoom in to see it.] Corrected by Brad

Ilsa holds up a case filled with Nazi gold to the Russians. That much gold would be too heavy for her to hold with one arm. [Who knows what powers come with eternal life and youth? Enormous strength? Why not?]

At the beginning, when Rasputin is talking to Ilsa he says, "Whatever happens tonight" but his mouth says, "Whatever happens to me." [After watching the scene he does say tonight. Because of the way he was talking the word tonight might have appeared as me.]

When we see Hellboy with stocks around his head and hands, the hole holding his left hand is easily big enough for him to get his hand through (not that it would have helped). [So, since it wouldn't have helped, where's the mistake?] Corrected by Phixius

When Hellboy raises what's left of Ivan from the dead he still has eyes, teeth and a gray beard. This is highly unlikely since these parts of the body are usually the first to decompose. [Uh, no. Teeth are among the last things to decompose along with the rest of the bones. As far as eyes and hair, we don't know the conditions the body was under; it is possible those parts remained.] Corrected by Phixius

When Hellboy tosses Manning under the door in the crypt maze, slow-mo shows the wire pulling Manning is visible at his neck just after he starts sliding. [As stipulated in the rules of the site, if you need to use slo-mo in order to spot something, then it's not a valid mistake.]

After the opening scenes in which the American soldiers have defeated the German troops on the island off the coast of Scotland, there is a still photo of the American troops, Hellboy and Professor Broom in a group shot. In the picture there are at least two black soldiers among the group. Since this took place in 1944, the U.S. Army was very much segregated and there is no way black and white soldiers would have been in the same combat units together, much less on a "secret" mission. [I think it far more likely whoever was in charge of this highly secret and unusual mission would pick the best soldiers he could get, no matter what color.] Corrected by Grumpy Scot

When Hellboy is standing outside the asylum, one of the patients is heard saying, "There's a big red man down there." A nurse replies, "Santa isn't coming for another month." Since Hellboy has just walked through a big Halloween party, it's actually 2 months until Christmas. [It is not uncommon for volunteers dressed as Santa to visit asylums, hospitals, and schools in the run up to xmas. The nurse could be referring to the fact that "Santa" will be making a visit in a month.]

When Hellboy and Kronen are fighting in Rasputin's crypt, you can see chunks of stone flying off of HB's stone hand every time he's struck by the swords. But the hand never seems to lose any pieces and when it is shown later in close-ups, is completely undamaged. [Not true, look closely and see that there are chips all over the surface of the hand. ]

When the character of Abe is introduced, it is stated that he was found the day Abraham Lincoln died, which is how he got his name. However, the wrong date is given - the movie says Lincoln died on April 14, 1865, but he actually died on April 15. [The movie is based around conspiracies so it could be saying Abe Lincoln really did die at that date and not the date everyone is lead to believe.]

When Hellboy and the agents go back to look for eggs in the subway, they enter through a working subway tunnel. Later, when HB is searching for Kronen and encounters Sammael, they fall into a hole, fighting as they drop hundreds of feet. But they crash through the ceiling of a subway station. Why is there another subway system hundreds of feet below the one they came in through? [In subway systems, different lines run on different levels, to allow the tunnels to cross each other without interference.] Corrected by Tailkinker

When the first portal opens, a light is pulled through it and into outer space. That type of light generates a lot of heat, so the bulb would be quite hot. But it's absolute zero in space, so the bulb would have exploded as soon as it passed through the portal. [Temperature of space is not absolute zero. By the laws of thermodynamics, absolute zero is the coldest possible temperature and immpossible to reach. Lights in freezers and fridges don't explode when you leave them on for hours on end.] Corrected by Rlvlk

When Hellboy hits Myer with the rock, he is on a rooftop across the street and pretty high up, but they are more or less facing each other. When the shot cuts to Myer getting hit, if you watch slowly, the rock appears to come from behind, hitting him in the back of the head or at least the side. Myer puts his hand up to his forehead, where you would expect him to be hit, considering the direction Hellboy is throwing from. But then Myer turns around and yells, "hey, who threw that?" behind him, where it appeared the rock came from in slo-mo. [They're not even close to facing each other - Hellboy is looking at them almost side-on. The rock comes from the correct direction, hitting Myers on the right-hand side of his forehead, exactly where he puts his hand to. He then stands and looks left and right first, and only turns round to look behind him once he's failed to spot the thrower in the more plausible directions.] Corrected by Tailkinker

Liz demonstrates her control to Hellboy by lifting her hand in front of her face and lighting up. In the next shot her hand is lower, in front of her chest and extended. [There is a fairly long shot of Hellboy speaking in between the two shots of the hand position. There was more than enough time for Liz to have moved it.]

According to Agent Manning Hellboy is supposed to be about 2.13 metres tall. But, compared to the other people in the movie, Hellboy does not appear to be remarkably tall - some of the other characters are even taller than him. [In the museum Manning says that Hellboy is six foot five, which is about 1.9 metres, not 2.13. This is tall, but not remarkably so, so it's not unreasonable that some of the other characters could be taller than him.] Corrected by Tailkinker

In the scene where the FBI agent enters the lobby of the "Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense", there's a latin quote on the desk which is spelled wrong. The quote says: "In absentia luci tenebrae vincunt". The correct spelling is: "In absentia luci, tenebrae vinciunt" (In absence of light, darkness prevails). [Correctly it is "In absentia luci tenebrae VINCUNT" - Vincunt is a form of vincere - to conquer, Vinciunt is from vincire which means to bind or restrain.]

Director Guillermo del Toro opted to do this film over "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban." [Not true, he opted to do this film instead of Blade 3.]

Why did Myers, upon walking into the BPRD, stop and stand on the symbol in the centre of the room? I know this is essential as the symbol is the hidden lift, but surely anyone would have walked on to the desk? He didn't know about the lift, and the man didn't tell him to stop. [Myers has obviously been given some pretty unusual instructions - go to this rather mysterious building, press a particular button on the keypad, identify himself and so on. It's reasonable to assume that stopping on the symbol and identifying himself to the guard on the desk when he enters would be part of those instructions.] Corrected by Tailkinker

While in the tunnels under the cemetery in Moscow, walls rise up from the floor blocking the parties' exit. Shortly after that, rows of blades swing out perpendicular to the walls. The blades can be seen vibrating as if they were made of rubber. [The blades have some mechanism that allows them to extend or retract. It is this aged and imperfect mechanism that is causing them to bounce a little as they settle into the new positions, not because they're made of rubber.]

In the scene where the two security guards fall from the balcony, when the scene cuts to them hitting the floor, you can see the yellow crash mat they land on. [I watched this on DVD and there is no shot where you can see the crash mat. The shot where they hit the ground only shows them falling and bouncing a little, it's framed too high to show the actual floor.]
