The Blob picture

Corrected entry: When people come in contact with the Blob, it is like having acid poured on them. The flesh burns & dissolves. Obviously very painful. During the film, a couple is sitting in a car out in the country. The guy gets out of the car to mix some drinks. The Blob attacks the girl. She doesn't make a sound. He doesn't even know anything is wrong.

Correction: Maybe The Blob attacked through her mouth right away. It seems to have some intelligence after all.

A Fish Called Wanda picture

Corrected entry: It's a beautifully staged bit of physical comedy but Otto pulls out his gun, flips it through the air past the airport metal detector and catches it on the other side ... in full view of dozens of customs and immigration officers and civilians in the queue behind him. Even back then the area would have been festooned with CCTV cameras. What, not one person saw someone carrying a large, powerful handgun through airport security?

Correction: First off, the statement is extremely exaggerated. All we see is a handful of passengers and one older lady monitoring the X-Ray. There are no dozens of officers in view. And, those who we do see would have had their view obstructed by the metal detector as he quickly tosses the gun (which is not really large and powerful) at waist level to his right. And being that they went to the last screening station on the far right, there wasn't anyone to his immediate right who would have seen this.

Hellbound: Hellraiser II picture

Corrected entry: The two uniformed officers are dressed like US street police and carry guns. UK police are generally unarmed.

Correction: It has been stated by Cliver Barker that the films take place in the U.S., not the UK.

TedStixon

Correction: At the beginning of Hellraiser Larry says to Julia that "we are on your turf" suggesting that they have moved from Brooklyn to Britain (because of Julia's accent).

The films were originally meant to take place in Britain, but Clive Barker and the producers changed their minds during production and reworked the film slightly so that it would take place in the US. (For example redubbing many of the actors' lines to give them American accents.) The line about Julia being on her "home turf" is therefore now technically a mistake since it's a remnant of the original script. (They likely didn't have time to reshoot the scene to remove the line.) But regardless, Clive Barker has stated that the films as released are intended to take place in the US.

Scrooged picture

Corrected entry: When Eliot first confronts Frank with a shotgun inside Frank's office, Eliot fires three shots from his shotgun without reloading. The double barrel shotgun he's using can only shoot twice before he has to reload. Interestingly enough, this is the only scene where that happens. The rest of the scenes of Eliot shooting adhere to the two shot and reload rule.

RJR99SS

Correction: This is incorrect. After the 2nd shot you can hear the distinct sound of the shotgun being opened, loaded, and closed before the 3rd shot.

Elvira, Mistress of the Dark picture

Corrected entry: When Elvira throws her shoe at Vincent, it's shown flying through the air. With the way the shoe is spinning, there's no way it could have stabbed Vincent through the forehead.

Sarah Van Winkle

Correction: You've missed the point of the whole gag. It is a send up of an identical scene (with the same plot hole) in Pamela Anderson's 'Barb Wire'.

Biloxi Blues picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Christopher Walken is trying to determine who stole money from a soldier's footlocker, he threatens to discipline the platoon if no one confesses by the time he counts 'down from thirty.' However, he begins counting at 'one,' thereby counting up to thirty.

She's Having A Baby picture

Corrected entry: The typewriter Jake is typing on near the end of the movie is a small IBM Selectric, a different model than the one seen earlier in the film.

Correction: He's had plenty of time to purchase a new typewriter to complete his manuscript.

Cocktail picture

Corrected entry: When Tom Cruise goes to Jerry's to meet up with Jordan, he has a dark checkerboard sports jacket. When he is in the booth, he has a new jacket on. When she goes to get "the special" he has his original jacket on. When she dumps "the special" on him, he has the second jacket on again.

Correction: I have checked it out and he wore the same jacket during the whole scene.

The Unbearable Lightness of Being picture

Corrected entry: When Tereza first gets her camera she takes photos which show Prague street life pre-Soviet invasion. So presumably it's late 1967 or early 1968. The background music is a Czech cover version of "Hey Jude" by the Beatles. This song wasn't released in the west until 1969.

Correction: Not so. The Beatles released "Hey Jude" in the summer of 1968. It was a huge hit in the West during the turmoil in Czechoslovakia. You are correct to note that the song would not have been in circulation prior to the invasion, but by the time the tanks rolled, the song was available.

Moonwalker picture

Corrected entry: There is a shot of Michael and his girlfriend walking through a graveyard just as the zombie resurrection scene starts. As the camera pulls back to take a shot of the whole graveyard before zooming back into a specific tombstone you can see a load of spot lights lined up at the top of the screen.

Correction: This entry references the video clip of Thriller, rather than the movie Moonwalker.

Police Academy 5: Assignment: Miami Beach picture

Corrected entry: After the party where Harris gets burned by the brandy, there is a left panning shot of the beach which focuses on the large curved hotel. The next shot zooming out of the arch shows the hotel to be a blatant painting. (Note the frozen waterfalls on the pool.)

Correction: Lassard and the other man are standing in front of the real life Fountainebleau Hotel mural painted by Richard Haas in the 80's (although in 2002 during renovations the wall and mural were taken down).

Willow picture

Corrected entry: When Willow shows off some magic after he puts the stick through his arm, you see some kids from the village. Look closely at the upper right hand side of the screen you can see a boy, (not one of the midgets), who is wearing a navy blue T-shirt. This boy looks larger than Willow and looks like he is not part of the scene. (00:10:25)

Correction: The young man is a midget, and is watching the show and clapping with the crowd. His clothes are consistent with the other villagers. He is taller than Willow, but there are several others in the crowd who are as tall or taller.

Bloodsport picture

Corrected entry: At the end of the movie it says Frank fought at the Kumite between 1972-1980. That would make his first fight in 1972. When Frank first meets Ray before his first fight, they play a game of Karate Champ. Karate Champ didn't come out until 1984.

Correction: Although it's true that Karate Champ wouldn't have been around at the time that Frank Dux actually fought at the Kumite, it's not necessarily true that the movie took place in '72. The film is not a documentary or biography. It is a story "based on" Frank Dux's life, not dependant on "when" it happened.

Correction: He was cut on the left side of his face. It only appeared it was on the right side because they were showing this from the viewpoint of the reflection in the mirror.

Correction: Rook could have cleaned his knife at any time after killing the cameraman.

Working Girl picture

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the movie Tess goes to work. When she enters the building she is wearing a brown coat. When she arrives at the office she is wearing a grey jacket. (00:03:45)

NancyFelix

Correction: The brown coat was a heavy winter outer coat. The grey jacket is a lightweight jacket that goes with her outfit.

Poltergeist III picture

Corrected entry: The actor who played Scott didn't return with the rest of the family because he couldn't bring himself to do it because of actress Heather O'Rourke, who died shortly before the movie was finished.

Correction: This is untrue. The actor simply never got a call back to film the final scenes. http://www.poltergeistiii.com/scott.html

Caddyshack II picture

Corrected entry: Right before Cynthia comes over, Jack is looking into the mirror and getting ready. He picks up a gun shaped hair dryer and starts drying his hair. However his hair was already dry to begin with.

RJR99SS

Correction: So, he was slightly balding, so it might make him feel younger to pretend he has more hair (i.e. by drying it). Also, his date is coming up, and he wants to style it with a hair dryer.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels picture

Corrected entry: During the main scam of the movie, Steve Martin poses as a wheelchair bound Naval Officer. The only problem is that he wears an Army dress blue infantry uniform with the rank of Corporal. Clearly neither naval nor an officer.

Correction: The people he's trying to con don't know this.

But the two sailors who volunteer to get rid of Laurence probably do it because they supposedly identify Freddy as a fellow sailor. I still think the army uniform was a mistake.

Correction: First, this is in Europe, therefore Americans, and the uniforms of their troops, are not likely to be well known by all the civilians, Second, it is established early on "Freddy, you are a moron." Third, well in a rare moment of foresight, Freddy could be planning against getting charged with impersonation of an officer, by technically dressing as a common soldier (lesser penalty), though in typical Freddy fashion, that probably wouldn't work.
