Revealing mistake: When Yugi and Rick walk down the steps of the duelling platform after the duel has finished, Yugi is holding onto Rick's deck before handing it back to him. In this shot, the front side of one of Rick's cards can be seen, and it is missing the illustrations. (00:12:20)

Continuity mistake: When Joey is telling Mokuba he doesn't duel on an empty stomach, the two hot dogs he is holding have ketchup on them. A few seconds later, when Mokuba tells him he'll be disqualified if he doesn't make it to the duel, the ketchup on the hot dogs has disappeared. The ketchup reappears a few seconds after that. Continuity mistake: When Solomon draws the Ancient Tome spell card from his deck, his middle finger and index finger are touching the backside. Then there is a close-up of the card, where his middle finger is not touching it. The shot cuts again, and his middle finger is suddenly touching the card. (00:03:26)

Character mistake: Professor Hawkins says that there are seven cards required to summon Ancient Dragon and also mentions that until quite recently, both he and Solomon had six of the seven cards. But in the flashback of Solomon speaking to Hawkins at the airport, he tells him he managed to track down the fifth card, even though there were seven cards they were looking for. Continuity mistake: When Ancient Tome is leaving the field, Solomon lowers his hand when he turns around to see the tome collapsing. Then it cuts to a shot focusing on Solomon where his left hand is suddenly raised. But in the following shot after that, his left hand is lowered again. (00:18:28)

Continuity mistake: On Vivian's first turn, she draws a card from her deck and then extends her arm so that her card and hand are facing away from her. When the shot cuts, her arm is now extended to the right and bent at the elbow. (00:05:12)

Other mistake: Rebecca activates Graceful Charity, which allows her to draw three cards and discard two. One of the cards she discards is Marie the Fallen One, which is shaded yellow, indicating that it is a Normal Monster and does not have an effect. Later, it's revealed Marie the Fallen One has an effect that allows Rebecca to gain 200 life points every turn, meaning it is an Effect Monster and should have been shaded orange. Continuity mistake: When Joey says "I heard that" after Rebecca criticises his haircut, Devlin tells him to "Take it down a notch" and raises his right arm while doing so. When he does this, his right wrist has nothing on it. Shortly after, when everyone walks into the hallway after Joey berates Zigfried, a bracelet has appeared on his right wrist that wasn't there earlier. (00:03:00 - 00:05:23)

Continuity mistake: When Joey wishes luck to Zigfried, he raises his hand for Zigfried to shake. When he first raises his hand, there is a small gap between his middle finger and ring finger. In a close-up of his hand, there is no gap between his middle finger and ring finger. (00:04:15)

Continuity mistake: Just after Tristan restrains Joey during his argument with Zigfried, Devlin says, "He better get a grip or he's history." In this shot, the bracelet that is usually shown on his right arm is missing. It's hard to see at first because Rebecca's head is blocking his arm, but it can be seen once she turns his head. When the shot cuts to an angle behind them, the bracelet on his right arm has reappeared. (00:05:23 - 00:05:51)
