Continuity mistake: When Yugi draws Beta the Magnet Warrior from his deck, Joey's Life Point count is displayed and is 1500. Later in the scene, when Joey says, "It's time to end this," the Life Point count is shown on his duel disk and is 2400. (00:05:20 - 00:05:59)

Continuity mistake: After Tristan, Serenity and Devlin flee the hunters, the scene cuts to Yugi holding the Red Eyes Black Dragon card. At first, he has one finger pressed against the back of the card. When the shot cuts, he has two fingers pressed against the back of the card. Then in a close-up of the card, the two fingers move to the right-hand corner of the card, even though they were closer to the middle of the bottom side in the previous shot. (00:06:26)

Continuity mistake: When Yugi summons Kuriboh in attack mode, he places the monster card on the duel disk. Two shots after this, when Joey points out that Kuriboh only has 300 attack points, the Kuriboh card has suddenly rotated 180 degrees on the duel disk. (00:18:26)

Continuity mistake: Yugi removes his belt so that he won't be able to include Slifer the Sky Dragon in his deck. He removes the Red Eyes Black Dragon card from the deck box on his belt, holding the belt in his left hand when he does so. After a brief flashback of him getting the card, the belt has disappeared from his left hand. When possessed Joey tells him to place Slifer on the ground, the belt has suddenly reappeared in his right hand. (00:11:36 - 00:12:06)

Continuity mistake: When Yugi, Kaiba and Mokuba get off the helicopter after arriving at the pier, the rotors are left running. The rotors are left running for the next minute or so whilst they speak with possessed Joey. When Marik says, "It's time to seize the power that should've been mine all along," the rotors are no longer running. (00:05:22 - 00:06:38)

Continuity mistake: When Mokuba sees Joey, there is a shot zooming in on Joey standing on the pier. In the shot, there is a white staircase connected to a ship in the ocean. In the next shot of the pier, the white staircase has disappeared and has been replaced with an anchor chain. (00:04:47)
Continuity mistake: When Kaiba picks up the two Locator Cards in Lumis' coat, he is holding them both in one hand. In the next shot, he suddenly has one Locator Card in both his left and right hands. (00:16:03)
Continuity mistake: When Lumis draws the Pot of Greed card from his deck, in the shot of him drawing the card, he has two fingers along the bottom of the card. In a close-up of the card, one of his fingers is against the bottom right-hand corner of the card. His fingers go back to being along the bottom of the card in the following shot. (00:16:24)
Continuity mistake: When Tristan and Serenity get on the train, the doors close and it begins pulling out of the station. The shot then cuts, and the train is suddenly passing through the countryside. (00:12:47)
Continuity mistake: On Umbra's turn, after his life points go down to 2000, he removes a card with his right hand from the selection of cards held in his left hand. When he does this, his left hand and the cards in his left hand are at an upright angle. When the shot cuts, his left hand is at a rotated angle. (00:12:30)
Continuity mistake: When Umbra summons Rogue Doll, the monster card is shaded yellow (indicating that it is a Normal Monster). Seconds later, when Yugi is wondering why he would play such a weak monster, there is a brief moment where the Rogue Doll card on Umbra's duel disk is shaded orange (indicating that it is an Effect Monster). Continuity mistake: When Tea and Mokuba are stacking the boxes leading up to the ceiling window, in the establishing shot, there is a fair distance between the boxes and the ceiling window. In the next shot, the boxes are suddenly much closer to the ceiling window. (00:08:15)
Continuity mistake: When Lumis says to Yugi, "As soon as your life points reach zero," the life point count can be seen on Yugi's duel disk. The number 4000 appears to cover the entirety of the small screen displaying the life point count. But in a close-up of the small screen, there appears to be an inch on both the left and right-hand sides of the screen that the life point count doesn't cover. (00:03:20)
Continuity mistake: At the end of Yugi's first turn, he thinks to himself, "Hopefully, by then, I can pick up on their strategies." At this moment, Umbra has his right arm at his side. In the next shot, his right arm is raised, and his hand is suddenly holding onto a card. (00:15:39)
Continuity mistake: Just before the duel starts, Yugi and Kaiba activate their duel disks. In the shot of Yugi raising his arm and activating his duel disk, Kaiba can be seen in the background with his arm raised and his duel disk activated. Then there is a wide shot of the characters on the roof; Yugi and Kaiba's arms are suddenly by their sides. (00:14:28)
Continuity mistake: When the helicopter appears in front of Yugi and Kaiba, their arms are by their sides. When the shot cuts, Yugi's right arm and Kaiba's left arm are suddenly over their faces. (00:10:25)
Continuity mistake: When Mokuba is knocked to the ground by the hunter, his left hand is positioned beside him. In the next shot, his left hand is behind him. (00:09:10)
Continuity mistake: When Yugi hangs up the phone after realising Marik's hunters have found his friends, his index finger is straight. Then it is bent when the shot cuts. (00:07:42)
Continuity mistake: When Marik is running up to Joey and Tea, the two turn around to face him. Tea is facing Marik directly and Joey is rotated at an angle perpendicular to Marik. In a wide shot, Joey is facing Marik directly and Tea is standing at a perpendicular angle. (00:06:04)
