Continuity mistake: When Yugi wins the duel, there is a shot where Kaiba and Mokuba can be seen in the background. A briefcase can be seen next to Mokuba, but when it cuts to a closer angle of the two, it has changed position. (00:15:29)
Continuity mistake: In the previous episode, when Yugi realised that Buster Blader was one of the cards in his hand, Dark Magician was also one of the cards shown in his hand. In this episode, the Dark Magician card is never seen again.
Continuity mistake: When Yugi's life points go down to 3100 after Slifer the Sky Dragon destroys Buster Blader, his Kuriboh card is face down on his duel disk, even though it was face up when he summoned it earlier. Seconds after this happens, his Kuriboh card is suddenly face up on his duel disk. (00:14:19)
Continuity mistake: When Yugi summons Kuriboh in defence mode, Kuriboh appears on the duel field, levitating a few inches above the Kuriboh card. In the next shot, Kuriboh is levitating several feet above the Kuriboh card. (00:09:05)
Continuity mistake: During the flashback of Yugi building the Millennium Puzzle, in the establishing shot, Yugi has his left hand on the back of the puzzle. But in a close-up of the puzzle, his left hand is across the side of it. (00:04:43)

Continuity mistake: Just after Arkana says, "You'll have to speak up, I'm afraid I can't quite hear you," it cuts to a close-up of the dark energy disc (buzzsaw in the Japanese version), and it is positioned to the right of the number 1000. In the next shot from far away, it is positioned to the left of the number 1000. (00:03:00)

Continuity mistake: When Arkana summons Mystic Tomato to the field, in the shot of him placing the card on the duel disk, his fingers are placed over the card. When the shot cuts, his hand is away from the card. (00:03:08)

Continuity mistake: On Arkana's first turn, the Dark Magician card can be seen as one of the cards in his hand. The card next to Dark Magician appears to be a monster card where an axe is featured in the artwork. Over a minute later, when Arkana realises he'll have to discard the cards in his hand, the monster card next to Dark Magician has been replaced with a different monster card (possibly Alligator Sword, a card used by Joey in the previous episode).
