Continuity mistake: After the flashback to the duel at the pier, there is a shot of Serenity laughing at something Tea says. In the shot, Serenity is standing at an angle perpendicular to Tea. When the shot cuts, the two are standing side by side. (00:07:53)
Continuity mistake: After returning home, Yugi puts his deck of cards on a table. In the close-up shot, there is a face-up card on the table to the left of the cards, and another face-up card to the right of the cards. The shot then cuts, and the two face-up cards next to the deck of cards cannot be seen. (00:15:59)
Continuity mistake: When the main characters are standing on the pier after saying goodbye to Marik, in the shot where Mai says, "You've certainly got a way with words, Joey," Devlin's arms are crossed. Then it cuts to a shot focusing on Devlin, where his arms are at his side. (00:12:10)
Continuity mistake: When Joey walks away from the blimp after realising he can't fix it, in the shot where he says "Then again, I don't want to get my hands dirty right now", the other characters are standing in different positions. In the next shot, Roland, Tea, Tristan and Yugi are standing next to each other, aligned with one another, and Devlin and Bakura are also standing next to each other, aligned with one another. Continuity mistake: When Joey starts running up to Roland, Roland is standing with his back facing Joey, and then he turns his head and rotates his abdomen to look at Joey. Once Joey reaches him in the next shot, Roland has turned around entirely, with his whole body facing towards Joey. (00:06:44)
Continuity mistake: Kaiba puts a necklace that uses a dueling card as its case in his hand. The lanyard attached to the necklace can be seen above his hand, but in a close-up of the necklace, the lanyard is lying on his hand. (00:05:22)
Continuity mistake: When Mai, Serenity, Bakura and Devlin are watching the men in the control room trying to get the engines started, Mai is standing next to a handrail. Her right foot appears to be ahead of the handrail in the wide shot, but when the shot cuts to an angle behind them, her right foot is behind the handrail. (00:03:25)
Continuity mistake: When the men in the control room are trying to get the engines started, the man sitting in the middle seat has green hair. When the shot cuts, he has light brown hair. (00:03:24)

Continuity mistake: When the main characters walk into the control room, Tristan can be seen walking ahead of Yugi. In the next shot, Yugi is suddenly ahead of Tristan. (00:18:35)

Continuity mistake: When Mai pulls Joey onto the bed after she pretends to be asleep, Tea can be seen behind Serenity, and Tristan can be seen behind Serenity, to her left. When the shot cuts, Tea is behind Serenity, more to her right, and Tristan is now directly behind Serenity. Tristan also goes from being on Yugi's left to being on his right, in between the two shots. (00:17:35)

Continuity mistake: After Kaiba has told everyone that the island will explode in one hour, in the wide shot where Kaiba says "I don't kid", he and Mokuba are standing together, with no one else in sight. Continuity mistake: When Kaiba is about to begin explaining that the island will self-destruct, in the shot of him saying "This victory celebration has gone on long enough", Ishizu and Odion cannot be seen on the platform with the other main characters, despite being seen standing behind Marik throughout the scene. Later in the scene, Ishizu and Odion can be seen standing on the platform next to Marik in the wide shot where Kaiba says the tower will self-destruct in one hour. (00:15:08 - 00:15:32)

Continuity mistake: After Yugi wonders if the Pharaoh's secret could be locked in the tablet, the scene cuts back to everyone on the platform. In a shot from above, Yugi, along with Joey, Tea, Tristan and Devlin, are standing in front of Marik. Seconds later, when Kaiba starts yelling, Tea and Devlin are standing behind Marik. (00:14:50)

Continuity mistake: When Marik gives Yugi the Millennium Rod, the two rings around his neck are missing. The rings reappear shortly after, when Kaiba says that the Battle City Tournament is over. Also in the shot of Kaiba saying the victory celebration has gone on long enough, the ring on Marik's left arm suddenly disappears before reappearing in the next shot. (00:15:00)

Minutes later, after the duel has finished, in the wide shot where Roland announces the winner, Kaiba and Mokuba are standing next to Ishizu and Odion. (00:09:25 - 00:11:30)
