Continuity mistake: When Solomon is watching Yugi duel, in the wide shot, there is a crowd of people behind him. There is a kid behind him standing over the edge of a tile on the floor; this kid has grey trousers and white shoes, and there is another kid next to him wearing dark grey trousers and grey shoes. When it cuts to a closer shot of Solomon, the kid standing over the edge of the tile is wearing purple trousers and grey shoes, and the other kid is wearing light blue trousers and white/black trainers. Character mistake: Yugi mistakenly says if he doesn't get a monster out to defend himself Mai can attack him directly, which wouldn't be possible since the rules of Duel Monsters during the Duelist Kingdom arc forbade direct attacks on defenseless opponents. That rule wouldn't be implemented until the Battle City arc.
