Request Permission to Escape - S1-E32
Other mistake: Carter is washing things in front of the barracks. There is snow on the ground and on the windowsills and they are wearing winter jackets but the cold weather doesn't bother him putting his hands in the water over and over. He even gets splashed in the face but it doesn't faze him.
Continuity mistake: The scar on Burkhalter's right cheek changes location, relative to the mole on that cheek, in every episode. Possibly in every take.
The Great Impersonation - S1-E21
Plot hole: This episode revolves around training the reluctant, untalented Schultz to impersonate Klink to get the captured heroes back from the Gestapo. This is actually a pretty common theme, somebody, usually one of the heroes, impersonating an officer to free a prisoner. The plot gives no reason why this time, they would have to use the cowardly, untalented Schultz instead of doing it themselves.
The Kamikazes Are Coming - S6-E20
Factual error: When Hockstetter shows up in Klink's office he has two SS soldiers with him. One has a coat on with a general's rank insignia.
Funny Thing Happened on the Way to London - S3-E5
Plot hole: When the driver of the car addresses Roberts (the real Roberts that is, not the double), Roberts reprimands him, telling him not to call him Baumann. It is safe to assume the guard was supposed to be speaking German, since he addressed Roberts by his German identity. That poses some interesting questions. Did Roberts speak English? In those days, most Germans did not even have a basic knowledge of the English language. Did he speak German? That would imply he has a good enough command of the German language to pass as a German. Roberts however isn't a spy like Hogan and his crew, but a pilot in the RAF.
Continuity mistake: After shooting the bridge with the tank, a cap at the end of the tank barrel is off. When carter says he is going to miss a captured film, the cap is on. In the next shot the cap is off again.
Suggested correction: There is no mistake. That was not the end of the gun barrel. Look closely.
Continuity mistake: As Major Tepple (Morrison) lays the deck of cards in Hogan's room on the table, the bottom card is not neatly in the deck. When the camera cuts to another angle, the deck is neatly stacked.
Visible crew/equipment: After Hogan goes down into the tunnel in Klink's quarters, the stove moves back in place. As it does, the wire on the floor pulling the stove back in place is visible.
Colonel Klink's Secret Weapon - S2-E28
Continuity mistake: When Franks turns in his report to be signed, Klink said "Kommandant's efficiency reports are six weeks behind." When he talks to Hogan later to get rid of Franks, he said the reports were six months behind.
A Klink, a Bomb and a Short Fuse - S2-E8
Visible crew/equipment: As Burkhalter and Klink walk toward the office, the shadows of the crew, camera and lighting appear on camera.
The Flame Grows Higher - S1-E31
Revealing mistake: As Hogan, Le Beau, and Newkirk help Schultz up the slope to the "forest fire", there is lumber stacked across a low spot in the top of the bank and covered with "snow" and grass. Probably meant as a path.
Continuity mistake: When Schultz comes out, he talks to the guard posted there. A moment later, the guard is gone.
Other mistake: The wooden steps in front of the office look to be one plank measuring 3" by 18", but in the collapse under Klink, they appear to be two pieces. Also, Le Beau sawed through the middle support, but neither Schultz or Klink step on it.
Revealing mistake: As Klink steps off the porch of his office, in the long shot you can tell it is his stunt double.
Continuity mistake: When Helga brings in Klink's dinner and sits it down, Klink takes off his monocle. In the close up, it's on and his hands are folded, then he points to a chess piece, contemplating a move. In the wide shot, he's holding his monocle, and puts it on.
Continuity mistake: The breast eagle on Schultz's uniform is sewn on backwards after the first season, and his belt buckle also changes from a Luftwaffe buckle to a different one.
Watch the Trains Go By - S4-E19
Continuity mistake: As Schultz is by the car, Hogan is behind the fire brigade equipment. When Klink calls Schultz, Hogan gets up from behind the equipment. A second later, in a closeup, he comes up from behind the equipment again.
Visible crew/equipment: Every time the boys use a flashlight to signal the planes, you can see the camera crew and equipment.
Factual error: While the show always made it winter time by having snow on everything (salt piles strewn about) and icicles on all the windows, this episode has an actual date of occurrence, June 6, 1944. They help to solve the snow on the set by taping the whole episode inside. However, the windows still all have the ice formations on them. It's late spring.
