School of Rock (2003)

Corrected entry: In the scene where the principal comes in and observes the class, Dewey improvises a "musical" math lesson, singing things like "9 x 9 = 81" and other very basic arithmetic lessons. But these kids are no younger than 5th grade, and at a fancy prep school they would already be way past those basic skills, but the principal doesn't even notice.

Correction: How someone should or should not react in a given situation is a matter of opinion, and hardly ever movie mistakes. It's entirely possible the principal noticed, but chose not to say or do anything.

Gattaca (1997)

Corrected entry: Before the party, Vincent puts the blood packet on his index finger, but when stopped in the tunnel, he uses his middle finger to give the sample. (01:00:25)

Correction: With the constant risk of being stopped for random testing by police or his employers, it is not unlikely that Vincent wears more than one blood pack, and on different fingers.

Fool's Fate

Corrected entry: After Fitz has carried the Fool through the Skill Pillar and revived him, the Fool has a nightmare and comes running out of his tent. Then he lies down on Fitz's cloak and goes to sleep between Fitz and the fire, facing away from Fitz. A short time later he has another nightmare. Fitz "rolls to face him" and yet also can see the tears on his face. If he had rolled to face him, all Fitz should be able to see is the Fool's back.

Correction: It is possible the Fool had rolled over in his sleep before or during his nightmare, and was on his back when Fitz next looked at him.

Twotall

Corrected entry: In chapter 27, Fudge says, "Or is there the usual simple explanation involving the reversal of time, a dead man coming back to life, and a couple of invisible dementors?" Fudge never knew about Hermione and Harry using the Time-Turner to rescue Sirius in book three.

Correction: Fudge did not really know about the Time-Turner, but he wanted to make a point about how he considers Harry's stories too extravagant and fantastic to believe in, and exaggerates. There were never any "invisible dementors" either, as all of this is something Fudge makes up to illustrate his point.

Twotall

Corrected entry: In chapter 38, it says that Tonks was wearing a t-shirt that says "The Weird Sisters". But in the illustration at the beginning of the chapter, you can see that only "erd" is visible, but it should be "ird", because the e comes before the i.

Correction: Illustrations are not part of the text, and should not be considered book mistakes. Artwork on DVD cases are not considered movie mistakes, for the same reason.

Twotall

Corrected entry: When discussing former Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers, it's brought up that "one sacked, one dead, one's memory removed and one locked in a trunk for nine months." Lupin is the sacked one that's referred to, but he didn't get sacked, he resigned.

Correction: Character decision - Lupin was practically sacked, but was given the option of resigning first. He still lost his job, and not by his own volition, which is the same as being fired. Lupin was simply allowed to put a nicer name to it, that's all.

Twotall

Corrected entry: The picture at the beginning of "The Rogue Bludger" shows Harry's left arm deboned. However, it says his right arm was the one that got deboned.

Correction: Artwork is not part of the text, and should not be counted as book mistakes. The same goes for artwork on videos and DVD's on moviemistakes.com, they are not considered parts of the movie and are not accepted as mistakes.

Corrected entry: At the Quidditch World cup, Bagman calls flying deliberately to collide "skinning", but according to the book "Quidditch Through the Ages", the correct term is "blatching".

Correction: Character mistake or decision - Bagman could be using a slang expression, or an old term that predated "Quidditch Through The Ages".

Desperado (1995)

Corrected entry: When El Mariachi walks into the Tarassco bar before the gunfight, the bartender tells him about a guy with a "Guitar case full of guns". In the opening scene of the movie Steve Buscemi never tells the same bartender or the thugs in the Tarassco bar what kind of case El Mariachi is carrying.

Leonard Hassen

Correction: The bartender says that they have been hearing stories (plural) about a guitar case full of guns, meaning they had head it from people other than Buscemi. There is also ample evidence in the movie to suggest that El Mariachi has been killing drug cartel members before the events in the movie, so stories from these have spread around the cartel. In addition, the guitar case originally belonged to a somewhat famous assassin named Azul (in the first movie, "El Mariachi"), and the bartender may easily have heard of the guitar case in association with him.

Corrected entry: In order to return to Eternia, Guildor must build a new Key using Kevin's keyboard to make the correct tones. How Keven got his hands on the keyboard in the first place is somewhat suspect, as he claims it was 'at the music shop', however we know for a fact that the shop - along with everything in it - was shot to pieces by Skeletor's henchmen only a little while ago. His must have been the indestructible one mentioned in the other mistake.

Correction: Yes, most of the shop was destroyed, but it is not thereby said that it would be impossible to salvage something from the wreckage. You can still see undamaged guitars hanging on the wall, and unbroken drums lying on the floor. Besides this, the back room was spared from destruction, as the only fighting going on here was wrestling between Kevin and Lubic. It is possible some keyboards were stocked in the back.

Twotall

Corrected entry: When Evil-Lyn and a robot trooper scan for the key in the warehouse backyard, note in the side views that while the trooper is speaking, his larynx is moving. Robots do not require a moving larynx for voice.

Correction: They are not robots, but regular soldiers. There is nothing in the entire movie to indicate that the soldiers are robotic.

The Cherokee Kid (1927)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Sinbad is eating with Nat Love's gang at the dinner table, Dawnn Lewis's character shoots a piece of chicken out of someone's hand. If you slow it down and look closely, you can see the wire used to pull back the chicken.

Correction: If you have to use slow motion to see this, it is not valid as a mistake as per the rules of the site.

Mystery Men (1999)

Corrected entry: When the Mystery Men are at Casanova's mansion, Casanova appears at the top of the stairs holding Monica (Roy's girlfriend) hostage - how did Monica get there? None of Casanova's cronies could have gotten her, because they are all at his mansion long before Captain Amazing is killed, after which the Mystery Men go back to the inventor's warehouse to decide what they are going to do next, and Roy says goodbye to her before he goes with everyone else to fight Casanova.

Correction: There is nothing to indicate that all of the gang members are at the mansion the whole time. There was plenty of time for Casanova to send someone out to fetch Monica, in the while the Mystery Men are in the warehouse and junkyard gearing up. Seeing how they had to equip and refurbish the tank, this could take hours.

V for Vendetta (2005)

Corrected entry: In the scene where "V" visits Dr. Delia Surridge at her residence, "V" informs Delia that he has administered her with a poison. Presumably this is the same poison "V" administered to his previous victims that causes them to vomit before they die. We watch Delia die, as well as see her dead body after "V" leaves and Inspector Finch arrives. We, however, do not see Delia vomit before dying, or find any vomit near her on her bed after she has died, although all the rest of "V"s previous poisoned victims have had assumingly vomited before they died.

Correction: "Presumably this is the same?" They had "assumingly vomited"? There is too much assumption here for this to be valid. There is absolutely nothing to suggest V used the same poison on Dr. Surridge as he did on the others, so it is just as likely that he used a different, "gentler" poison.

Friends (1994)

Correction: It is entirely possible to speak with a cigarette in your mouth. And when you do, you don't move your lips much. There is nothing wrong with Chandler speaking his line like this.

Twotall

Corrected entry: When May (Charlie's mother) first shows him the Weekly World News article on Mrs. X, she says, "She marries men *under fake identities*...and then murders them." This is confirmed in the movie (we hear various names mentioned when Tony is calling around at the households). Okay, so throughout the movie, we know Nancy Travis' character as Harriet - even at the end. Is Harriet her real name, and she finally decided to use it, or is this unexplained and thus is a blooper?

redbaron2000

Correction: This is a self-correcting entry - as the submitter says, it is possible that Harriet actually is the girl's real name.

Futurama (1999)

The Route of All Evil - S5-E3

Corrected entry: Awsome Express deliver 1,000,000 newspapers a day. The phone call Leela answered was someone who hadn't gotten their paper in at least two days (Leela exclaimed "How long?"). However, when the dumped, missing papers are delivered by Planet Express, they deliver only once to each of the houses and they stay in the original area where Awsome Express used to deliver, yet somehow they finished delivering at least 1,000,000 papers.

Dan Moat

Correction: It's not inconceivable that they made several runs, delivering the papers in order of printing (First one run with Tuesday's paper, then one with Wednesday's, etc). It would be a lot easier than to sort everything into bundles of three papers for every customer. And just because you don't see them delivering to more than the original area, it does not mean that they don't.

Twotall

Corrected entry: When the Turks find Jack's hat, the Kraken eats their ship very quickly, without even showing its tentacles, but from then on, it takes its time, showing the tentacles, ripping masts off, and generally giving the main characters time to get away.

Correction: Character decision by the Kraken - it chose to destroy the Turkish ship quickly. Perhaps it had received different instructions from Davy Jones, or perhaps it was simply hungry the first time.

Twotall

Corrected entry: The alphabet above the board in the class reads, "Az By Cx Dw Ev Fu ,etc"

Correction: Not really trivia - it's plain on screen for everyone to see.

Twotall

Corrected entry: The song being played as Kenny descends into Hell (Hell Isn't Good,) was done by Matt Stone and Trey Parker's band, DVDA. DVDA also did the version of "What Would Brian Boitano Do?" that plays over the end credits.

Correction: As this is listed in the credits, it does not qualify as trivia.
