Trivia: While working on the screenplay for this movie, Neil Gaiman constantly had people misunderstand him, and believe he was writing an episode of "Baywatch". After the script was finished, he actually did adapt "Beowulf" again, setting it in a quasi-futuristic Baywatch-setting. It made its way into his anthology "Smoke and Mirrors", under the title "Bay Wolf".

Trivia: Jeff drives an Oldsmobile similar to the one owned by Sam Raimi, which Bruce Campbell drove in "Evil Dead" and "Army of Darkness". When Bruce is locked in the trunk, he even finds a Fangoria magazine, which was also shown to be in the trunk in "Army of Darkness".

Trivia: The large guy who says the town should have rather kidnapped the blacksmith from "Army of Darkness", is played by Timothy Patrick Quill, who also played the blacksmith in question.

Trivia: Even though the characters themselves are constantly confused as to which of them is Rosencrantz and which is Guildenstern, there is a way for the audience to make sure: In the scenes where they take part in "Hamlet" and interact with others, Gary Oldman always delivers the lines of Rosencrantz, and Tim Roth always delivers Guildenstern's.

The Royale - S2-E12

Trivia: In this episode, Picard is studying Fermat's Great Theorem, and says it has remained unsolved for 800 years. Five years after the episode was made the theorem was proven, by Andrew Wiles and Richard Taylor from Princeton University (their proof is not the same as Fermat's though, as they used modern methods Fermat did not know of). In the Star Trek universe, this was referred to in an episode of Deep Space Nine, and is considered as a subtle correction for Picard's statements.

Trivia: The show was filmed in an actual prison (now unused) in Joliet. The death row cell used for Lincoln Burrows is the actual death row cell that held serial killer John Wayne Gacy.

Descent (1) - S6-E26

Trivia: Stephen Hawking guest stars in this episode, playing himself as a holodeck character (The "Poker with Einstein" program). This came about when he visited Paramount Pictures to promote "A Brief History of Time", and then told the Paramount people that he had always wanted to visit the Enterprise. He not only got to visit, but the writers added this special scene just so professor Hawking could appear on screen in a Star Trek episode. Hawking also reportedly stopped by the warp engine, smiled and said "I'm working on that".

Bart Sells His Soul - S7-E4

Trivia: Bart changes the lyrics to Iron Butterfly's "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" to "In the Garden of Eden." This was in fact the original title of the song, but because Ron Bushy had difficulty listening through a headset, he misinterpreted the title. It was not due to Doug Ingle being drunk while singing, as the popular rumor has it.

The Spanish version is considered a better film, because it was filmed after the English takes each day, so the Spanish director and actors would watch the English takes and decide how to improve on them.

Trivia: According to legend, Achilles' only vulnerable spot was his heel, where he eventually was hit with a poisoned arrow. The movie shows how such a legend can arise - when the soldiers first come to Achilles' body, he has pulled out all of the arrows in his chest and the only one visible is the one in his heel.

Trivia: Tommy Johnson was a real bluesman of the time, who was rumored to have sold his soul to the Devil. He was supposed to have met the Devil by "the crossroads", where in fact Everett & co first meet him. While this is also true about Robert Johnson, the character in the movie was always supposed to be Tommy (who also contributed actively to spreading the rumor for the PR value, unlike Robert).

Trivia: Gary Oldman, when preparing for the role, asked the director what biographies on Beethoven he should read. The director told him that the only biography needed was Beethoven's music, since it reflected his soul and emotions the best.
