X-Men 3 (2006)

Corrected entry: In the opening scene at Jean Grey's house, we see the water from the hose going up, but neither Magneto nor Xavier has the power to do this: Magneto can control metal and Xavier is a telepath.

Blibbetyblip

Correction: Neither Xavier nor Magneto are doing anything in this scene, it's all Jean Grey. And SHE has no problem using telekinesis.

Corrected entry: When the dome is being lowered over the town one of the edges is near the right side of the schoolyard. Later (when Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie get put in) the only edge near the school is in the back of the schoolyard (if there's an edge near the school at all).

Correction: Already listed and corrected. Many locations in Springfield change around, both within the series and the movie, all according to which jokes the makers want to insert in particular scenes.

Twotall

Corrected entry: When Homer is swinging by the wrecking ball, caugut between a rock and "a hard place", it eventually stops and a few seconds later it swings back up to the rock. This is impossible.

Correction: It's a deliberate joke, and as such, not a mistake.

Family Guy (1999)

Correction: He wouldn't necessarily need to say it. Chris could have mentioned to Kyle earlier that his father is named Peter.

Corrected entry: When Eowyn faces the Nazgul in combat, he once swings his morning-star horizontally. In the instant where the scene is shown from behind the Witch King, Eowyn dodges the weapon's had by leaning backwards; but then, as the same scene is shown from behind Eowyn, she suddenly ducks low to avoid it.

Correction: I just watched this several times, and what she does is take a tiny step backwards and then ducks straight down, in both shots.

Seinfeld (1990)

The Soup - S6-E7

Corrected entry: In the last scene, Newman tells Jerry that The Soup Nazi is going out of business. When Jerry asks where Newman is going, Newman replies that The Soup Nazi is giving away what's left and Newman is running home to get a big pot. He then runs to the left of the screen. You then see Jerry silently decide to do the same thing, but he runs off to the right of the screen. Jerry and Newman live in the same building; they wouldn't run in different directions to go to the same place.

Correction: True, but we can't be sure that Jerry runs home. It is possible he did not have any pots/containers big enough, and ran to borrow one from a friend, or maybe even buy a new one. Or he ran to The Soup Nazi straight away, hoping to beat the rush.

South Park (1997)

Correction: Nobody throughout the entire series notices Mrs. Cartman is an hermaphrodite without giving her a thorough medical examination. Obviously, she has had corrective surgery, or, her hermaphrodism is not readily visible or discernible.

Corrected entry: Iorek has no armor on when he returns Lyra back to the camp, when he fights it is suddenly on him.

Correction: As seen when Iorek retrieves his armor, he can don it in a few seconds. And as he is (almost) as close to his armor as humans are to their daemons, he would want to wear it as often as possible, so it is not unlikely that after he had delivered Lyra and Billy, he went to put it on.

Corrected entry: In the beginning, when Doc awakens Marty in the beginning he tells him to meet him at "Lone Pine Mall" (the altered name of the mall after the movie) but when Marty arrives at the mall the sign still reads "Twin Pines Mall". How come Doc is referencing the new name that hasn't changed yet? And this scene occurred just before any time traveling took place so it's definitely not a paradox (most likely a script error).

Correction: I think you need to check again. First of all, Doc does not "awaken" Marty. Marty is visiting Doc's house, and has been trying out the gigantic loudspeaker (knocking himself backwards). Second, Doc clearly says "Twin Pines Mall", and has done so in every version of the movie I have ever seen.

Corrected entry: When the fantastic four are in The Black Forest in Germany, The Thing encounters a bear. This is highly unlikely as the last documented bear sighting (aside from the brown bear named Bruno in 2006, who was shot and killed) was 170 years ago. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2006/05/060523-bear-germany.html.

Correction: Highly unlikely does not mean impossible. And if there was a sighting as late as 2006, there is no reason why there could not be another bear in the region.

And it was also the wrong kind of bear.

The Prestige (2006)

Corrected entry: When Robert performs his 100 shows with his magic trick, he (or his clone) dies in the water tank and the other shows himself to the public above the audience. But when Alfred is backstage and tries to save Robert, the 'other Robert' does not show himself to the public. How does this person know there were troubles backstage? When the trick goes correctly, he shows up within seconds. At that point there wouldn't be enough of a commotion from backstage to tell him their plan had been carried out.

Correction: The "original" Angier sees Borden come up on the stage to examine the machine up close. He then assumes, correctly, that Borden will be sneaking behind the stage to find out more about how the trick works. He then knows that this is the night to put his plan into action (this is, after all, what he's been waiting for, that Borden would try to steal his secrets). When the clone Angier is created, he has exactly the same memories as the original, so he knows about Borden's spying and that the water tank is in place. He then hides away, leaving only one dead magician and one murder suspect.

The Prestige (2006)

Corrected entry: When Angier is shocked by Tesla's fence and falls down, his watch falls out of his pocket, but in the next shot it's back in.

Correction: Not true. The next time we see him, his watch is lying on his stomach. As he rolls over and gets to his knees, it falls off and dangles from the watch chain. We then see Andy Serkis for several seconds, in which time Angier has plenty of time to rise to his feet and tuck his watch back in its pocket.

Gremlins (1984)

Corrected entry: Given they are in the middle of winter with a fresh snowfall on the ground - you don't see anyone's cold breath outside in ANY scene and you should.

Correction: This has been pointed out in numerous other films already - visible breath has nothing to do with cold, but how humid the air around your nose/mouth region is. It is entirely possible that after the snow fell, the humidity dropped to a point where breath would no longer be visible.

Halloween 5 (1989)

Corrected entry: When Michael sticks the pitchfork through Spitz, he was on top of his girlfriend. Shots afterwards of Spitz show puncture wounds that went clear through his stomach, theoretically his g/f would have been harmed by this (especially considering the positioning of both of their bodies), but she wasn't. And no argument can be made that the pitchfork's blades weren't long enough, since they were probably over 12" long a piece.

Correction: Like the submitter says, it's only theoretical that the girl would be harmed by the pitchfork. Maybe Michael chose to not stick the tines in long enough to harm her, maybe he misjudged and did not use enough force to penetrate both bodies.

Halloween 5 (1989)

Corrected entry: During the scene where Dr. Loomis is at the police station, he tells Sheriff Meeker to look at his burned face and says to him, "this is what I endured 12 years ago (Halloween in 1978)." Now remember, the events of Halloween 5 take place on October 31, 1989, and a year earlier (Halloween 4), Michael came back looking for Jaime on October 31, 1988. Lastly, after being shot at the end of Halloween 4, we know Michael was taken in by some fisherman for exactly one year, that was explained at the beginning of Halloween 5. Therefor, Dr. Loomis should have said 11 years ago, not 12.

Correction: Character mistake by Dr. Loomis.

Corrected entry: This film was shot in Brisbane, Queensland Australia. A lot of notable landmarks are shown around the film including Southbank Parklands, the William Jolly Bridge, The Town Hall and the Botanic Gardens. I should know this as I live in Brisbane.

Correction: Landmarks of cities can be pointed out in nearly every movie ever made - this does not qualify as interesting trivia for anyone not living in that specific city.

Corrected entry: When the character Paco first removes the shackles on the island, he is seen tossing the key away. Moments later, he encounters Conrad; and after being released from Conrad's grip, Paco tosses the key he previously thrown away.

Correction: Cut and pasted from IMdB.

Ben-Hur (1959)

Corrected entry: In the big sea battle scene when the slave rowers break out from below deck, you can see that one of them only has one hand. He wouldn't exactly be of much use to be fair. Also in the crucifixion scene, a prisoner is shown being lifted up holding on to the beam. Shouldn't the Romans have nailed him to it?

Correction: The man with the stump on the boat had, undoubtedly just received it while trying to break out of the cell. It's still bloody.

Correction: Most crucifixition victims were only tied to the cross, not nailed.

Corrected entry: Indy snaps the staff in half to stop the bad guys figuring out how long it has to be to be used in the Map Room. That's not going to work. They could easily put the two pieces together again. He needs to snap it into three segments and take the centre one with him.

Correction: Character mistake.

Twotall

Corrected entry: When Pippin and Merry are on the backs of the Uruks, Pippin takes off his brooch with his teeth, leaving his cloak untied. In subsequent shots, however, the robe is tied; this is impossible, as his arms were tied around the front of the Uruk, while his cloak was on the back of the Uruk.

Correction: The brooch is purely decorative - the cloak was always fastened by the strings.
