I'm looking for the name of a movie about a businessman who had a mistress with a child and a family that didn't know about them. He died unexpectedly. Probably a made for TV movie from the 1980s. I was watching it late one night and missed the ending. always wondered how it ended. Thank you.

Answer: This could be "Double Standard," about a prominent judge who had a wife and family, but kept a mistress and 7 kids in another city. Robert Foxworth played the judge, Pamela Bellwood played his wife, and Michele Green played the mistress. The mistress got pregnant while she was a teen, and for a while the judge and his wife raised that baby, but then he gave her back to the mistress, telling his wife that the adoption was challenged. The wife found out when the girl she'd raised showed up at her door. The truth came out when one of the kids was hurt somehow. I think it's based on a true story.

I am looking for a movie that was on TV. Took place out in the woods and it was covered in snow. A woman could not have kids and found a little girl out in the snow. Later in the show you find out the child was made from snow. The woman made her clothes. Please help me find the name of the movie. Thanks.

Chosen answer: This sounds like the Russian folk tale "Snegurochka". There were two films made in Russia adapting the story: an animated one in 1952 and a live action film in 1969.

Need help remembering a movie about a plane that crashed, killing the crew and all of the passengers. What parts of the plane that are considered salvageable, are put into new planes. Suddenly, supernatural events begin occurring on the planes that had the parts installed, such as dead crew members appearing out of nowhere and the ghost of a Captain appearing and warning another Captain about a fire that was going to break out. If I remember correctly, Ernest Borgnine was in this movie.

Answer: The film is called The Ghost of Flight 401. It was a TV movie released in 1978.

What is the name of the movie when the girl kills people every time she sees spots and she doesn't realize it? It takes place on the beach.

Alicia Holloway

Chosen answer: Psycho Beach party - it's a playback to the movie Gidget.

I'm looking for a movie that I'm 99.9% positive was aired on TV in the 1980's. I want to say that it involved a search and rescue team that went looking for people who were stranded while climbing during a storm. One of the main characters (an older man) who was also one of the rescuers, died after getting trapped in a crevice and having to survive the night in the perilous conditions. I remember very distinctly that one of the last scenes was, in the morning, after weather conditions allowed, they found this man's body, and his body was flown by helicopter back to headquarters. It was a real tearjerker.

Answer: High Ice (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080869). On YouTube there's a trailer for it and it has the old guy stuck in the rock pocket yelling at his radio.

Wondering what a late 80's American TV movie was. It had 3 or 4 cowboys that somehow were in the future (The 80's) They would fight for good and said some ridiculous line "like smooth a silk to the hilt" or something similar when they were going to gun fight. I remember it being ridiculous but funny.

Answer: This was "Outlaws", a CBS series which ran for 12 episodes from late 1986 to 1987. IMDb has a catchphrase in the quotes section which ends in "...to the hilt."

I am looking for the movie title of a story of a pretty troubled girl that was in a relationship with someone but she met and became infatuated with a mechanic. The movie had a unusual soundtrack.

Answer: It sounds like it could be Drive. A woman meets a stunt driver (Ryan Gosling) who works for a mechanic (played by Bryan Cranston). They get close but her partner is then released from prison.

I was just wondering, on this MovieMistakes website, what film has the most "Visible Crew/Equipment" mistakes listed? Is there someway you may find out for me please. Thanks very much.

Chosen answer: There is a method that can figure out what film has the most visible crew/equipment mistakes. This can be done by clicking the "Top pages" button in the top left corner next to the "Movie Mistakes" logo, scrolling down to "Most movie mistakes" and clicking on it. You are then given a list of the movies with the most mistakes of all time. Above the list of the most mistakes are five options: MOST - GENRE - MOVIE - MISTAKES - YEAR. Click on MISTAKES and some options will appear. Scroll right down to the bottom and there is an option that says "VISIBLE CREW/EQUIPMENT". Click on that and the top 30 films with the most visible/crew equipment mistakes will appear. If you are interested, the film with the most visible crew/equipment mistakes is Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl with a visible crew/equipment mistake count of 42!

I am looking for the title of a movie about a teenage girl who works in a circus with her mom until her mom has an aneurysm or a stroke. Then she travels into a sort of dream world in search of a cure. Shes helped by a man who she meets in the dream world, but in real life he is a waiter. There is also an evil version of her mother and of the girl herself. If you can tell me the title it would be great - I have been trying to track it down.

Answer: Could be MirrorMask (2005).

There was a movie that had John Cusack and it took place in the old west. Cusack plays a wanted man. One scene in the movie has him going on horseback to a house. When he gets there, the owner of the house opens fire even though John shouted that he only wanted to talk to the man. When the man hears a sound right behind him, he turns and kills his own wife. Another scene in the movie has the man lying about what really happened while John is caught and on trial.

Answer: Good movie from TV called "The Jack Bull": http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0171410/.

I have a question about a subplot/scenario in a movie. It's a comedy, I think, from the 90's, and the man character in the film sits on a shard of glass or something and he shudders and groans as he hands the glass or whatever it was to someone. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

MichaelCanada1

Chosen answer: That happened in the "Sabrina" remake from 1995.

There used to be a reality television series (I can't remember the network I believe it to be USA or A&E). Basically it was a black guy and a white guy who drove around the country in an older pick up truck. They would pick people out at random and ask them what they need most, then by other companies' or peoples' acts of kindness they would get it for them. In one episode it was a cellphone, in another episode it was a job, in another an apartment. It didn't last long, maybe a season or two but it was a very well intentioned, meaningful show.

Answer: Sounds like you're talking about "Barter Kings".

I'm looking for the title of a movie I saw some 10 years ago. The only scene I remember is where a guy is having sex with a girl, and as the camera moves up her body it turns out she's headless.

Answer: Could this possibly be Clive Barker's "Dread?" There's no headless sex, but there is a scene where a couple is having sex and as the guy and camera move down, the girl's body is missing from the mid-torso onward. Stars Shaun Evans and Jackson Rathbone, was made mid-2000's.

Hobbes

I am looking for the title of a movie about a group of about six 20-ish year old friends who become stuck in a Cessna that they are unable to land after a pin (or something like that) becomes dislodged and gets stuck on another part, preventing that from moving so the plane can descend. They end up having to toss as much as they can out of the plane in an attempt to lessen the amount of weight in the plane to conserve fuel. The film starts with a somewhat flashback to when the female pilot was a child and the Cessna she was in (I think) with her parents and it has a mid-air collision with another plane. I believe this film is a Canadian-made film made in about 2009.

DarkNITE

Chosen answer: The movie is called "Altitude". It was a direct-to-video film.

Looking for an 80s movie where a young teenage girl sees a young man that was singing in the mall and befriends him. They become intimate and she becomes pregnant, and her male best friend was there for her when she aborts the baby.

Answer: Sounds like "Fast Times at Ridgemont High." Or there is a similar movie, The Last American Virgin. Set in the early 80's. A guy loves a girl. She gets pregnant and he sacrifices everything to help her get an abortion. In the end, she went back to the guy who got her pregnant.

Hobbes

Has anyone seen or remembers this scene from a film about a boy and a girl passing or trespassing through a park, then another boy pops out in front of them or approaches them with a baseball bat or a belt, then starts hitting the girl with it? I don't remember the name of the film but I think it was released in 2001 - the boy the somehow saves the girl, and then runs out of the park with her to this house.

Answer: Hearts In Atlantis, starring Anthony Hopkins. The boy kept the bat in a sheathe strapped across his back, yes?

Phixius

I'm trying to find the name of a movie or TV special about a young girl that gets a makeover and falls in love with a singer who thinks she is much older than she is. And he falls in love with her not knowing how young she really is. I believe it was in the late 1970's or early 1980's. I also would like to know the name of the song sung in the show. Thank you!

justlovemovies

Chosen answer: You're referring to the 1979 TV movie "Sooner or Later" starring Rex Smith. It included his famous song "You Take My Breath Away".

What is the movie? Set in the late 19th century, man whose wife is in a coma, hires a woman to bear his child. She bears a daughter, leaves and returns when the daughter is an adolescent, still in love with the child's father.

Answer: Firelight.

What is the movie where a woman is accused for murder and is either in jail or a mental asylum. Right at the end you see the real murderer outside where he flicks his cigarette lighter three times (this being the signature move of the murderer throughout the movie)?

Shannen Bartlett

Chosen answer: This sounds like "Under Suspicion" with Liam Neeson and Laura San Giacomo: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0105691.

Ioreth

I was wondering if anyone knew the title of this horror or thriller movie that is about a bunch of people that end up in a hotel/ motel? I can't quite remember every detail but I do recall the following: There was a couple driving through a forest maybe? It was raining, somehow they end up in a weird residence. It is raining really hard so they run in and are greeted by a old lady and given a room. Eventually a couple more people (couples) end up staying there, they check in by signing a check in book. At dinner there is a very creepy butler. And bear with me because this is where the memories get kind of mixed up: One couple had lost their little girl (she passed away a couple of years ago? Months maybe. Not sure) but they see her around that hotel. I think she tries to help them. They get locked in that house, when they peek out they see that there is some creature outside. I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the devil? Because there is a room with the satanic star. That is all that I remember! I'm sorry it was so long but I am having such a hard time finding this movie.

Answer: Sounds like "House" (2008).
