Continuity mistake: When Yugi sees Slifer the Sky Dragon, he points to it by raising his right hand and then raising his index finger in its direction. His other fingers are closed in when he does this, but when the shot cuts to reveal the dragon, his thumb is suddenly pointed to the left. (00:02:40)

Continuity mistake: When Seto calls on Duos to track down Bakura, he raises his left arm and extends it forwards. The tablet to the left of the Millennium Puzzle tablet and the tablet to its right are an inch apart from one another. Then the shot cuts, and the tablets are further apart by a few more inches. Continuity mistake: When Pharoah is hanging over the edge of the cliff, Bakura stomps over the area that Pharoah is holding onto, causing a piece of ground to break off and Pharoah falls into the chasm. A few seconds later, when the others run up to the edge of the cliff, the piece of ground that broke off can no longer be seen and the edge of the cliff is intact. (00:12:45)

Continuity mistake: When Seto and Shada realise that the cell is empty, in the shot where the guard explains that Aknadin took the girl to the subterranean battleground, Shada is standing behind Seto. The shot cuts and Shada is suddenly standing on the opposite side of Seto. (00:17:04)

Continuity mistake: When Seto confronts Aknadin about the duelling prisoners, he is holding his Millennium Rod in his right hand. The rod remains in his hand for a short while, but later in the scene, when Aknadin tells Seto he can become the new Pharaoh, there is a wide shot shown from behind them, where the Millennium Rod has disappeared from his hand. The rod reappears in his right hand shortly after. (00:18:10 - 00:19:10)

Continuity mistake: When the girl begins glowing, she is standing directly over one of the spikes on the floor beneath her. A few seconds later, when the insect-like creature ties her up, she is standing in between the spikes. (00:02:45)

Continuity mistake: When Seto jumps in to defend the girl, she has webs tied around her abdomen that the insect-like creature has fired at her. There is a shot after Seto jumps in where the webs can no longer be seen around her abdomen. Then, a few seconds after that, he tears the webs off her. (00:03:22)

Continuity mistake: When the prisoner who used the insect monster is revealed to still be alive, he is held up with webbing that came from the insect. There are five webs around his abdomen that all join together at the centre of his chest. Later in the scene, when the prisoner prepares for his monster to attack Seto, there are four webs around his abdomen and the webbing is much thicker. (00:04:34 - 00:05:38)
