Corrected entry: T'Pol reminds the Commander, that last time he got too friendly with an alien contact, he ended up carrying a child. Trip became pregnant in S1 E5. (00:15:20)

X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)
Corrected entry: When Hank says "There's no professor here, I told you that", when he says "you that", we can see his lips aren't moving.
Correction: After Wolverine enters Xavier's house Hank stops him, and in a shot facing Hank's back he repeats "There's no professor here, I told..." then it cuts to a shot facing Hank as he finishes saying "you that," and we can indeed see Hank's mouth moving as he says those two words. There is no audio mistake here (timecode 00:30:20).

The Fox and the Hound (1981)
Corrected entry: Copper is chasing a white rabbit and turns into a puppy, then back into a dog, for a brief moment. This was on the DVD.
Correction: There are no continuity issues with Copper within this scene. We are shown three different scenes of Amos Slade's winter trip for the hunting season. In the first scene, early in the trip we see Copper is still a small puppy when Chief rescues him from the snow, and in the third scene Copper is a large fully-grown adolescent who is a trained hunting dog. It's during the second hunting trip scene that Copper chases the white rabbit, and at this point Copper still has puppyish behavior as he's growing into an adolescent.

The Fox and the Hound (1981)
Corrected entry: We see Boomer the woodpecker peck the end of a tree branch off in an attempt to get the green caterpillar. When the branch falls, Boomer stays in midair for a second, then he falls to the floor. But being a woodpecker, why not just fly from the ground instead of continuing to fall? (00:15:15)
Correction: Seriously? Because that's the whole point. Boomer is a bit of a hokey woodpecker who was taken by surprise and just wasn't thinking.

The Wizard of Oz (1939)
Corrected entry: In the scene where the Tin Man breaks the flower pot for Lion's crown, the top of the flower pot falls away, forming the spikes on the crown. In the next shot when the Lion is wearing the crown, the base has been cut out to allow room for his head.
Correction: No, the "base" has not "been cut out to allow room for his head" because when Tin Man lifts the flower pot to break it, there is no base at the bottom whatsoever. Tin Man's fingers are gripping the inside bottom of the pot, and we see through the center.

Mamma Mia! (2008)
Corrected entry: In the shot in the bathroom, Tanya has a small diamond necklace but in the next shot in the bedroom the diamond appears larger.
Correction: Tanya's diamond solitaire pendant is never "small" in the bathroom scene, and it's the same large size during the bathroom and bedroom scenes. There are even a couple of nice closeups of the necklace in the bathroom scene, such as when Tanya says, "Donna Sheridan, you shady lady."

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)
Corrected entry: When everyone goes out of the castle after Fred and George do their prank to be expelled, you can see a cast member hidden behind a pillar in the upper left of the screen. (01:37:20)
Correction: I provided a timecode for this entry, and when I was providing a screenshot I became unconvinced that this person gives any clear indication of being an actual crew member (not "cast member" which means member of the cast). Yes, we see someone who's standing to the side with his arms crossed, wearing a T-shirt and trousers. The problem is that in this shot we see half the students are not wearing their school robes and are dressed casually as well. We also see a Slytherine girl standing behind Harry who has quite a sour look on her face and she's not cheering at Fred and George's antics. So seeing a student stand to the side isn't a dead give-away since logical explanations could be any or all: 1) he's another annoyed Slytherine; 2) he is personally not fond of Fred and George; 3) he's a jealous 7th year who's irritated that Fred and George are leaving and he's not. This person may very well be a crew member, but since there's nothing particularly revealing about him we can't just presume he's a member of the crew. Anyone else have thoughts about this specific person seen in this shot?

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)
Corrected entry: At the end of the fight in the ministry of magic, Voldemort is saying to Harry: "You're a fool Harry Potter and you will lose everything". During that moment, you can see someone walking in the window behind Voldemort. (02:03:00)
Correction: No, we do not "see someone walking in the window behind Voldemort" in the background during this shot. The only movement we see are the glistening particles of sand floating in the air in the foreground.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)
Corrected entry: In the scene where Harry, Ron and Hermione have just finished talking to Sirius in the Hogwarts Common Room, wait for the shot to cut to Hermione and watch as the shot moves to look out the window. You can see a pole/microphone as the camera moves. (00:50:45)
Correction: I looked for the "pole/microphone" in both the widescreen and fullscreen versions, but did not see anything unusual at all.

The Greatest Showman (2017)
Corrected entry: At the end the museum burns down to the ground and Barnum and Phillip decide to open up again. However once the new circus is open we see Barnum leave to see his daughter perform in the ballet. But in reality it was over 5 years from when the museum burnt down to when the circus opened. Yet his daughter is the same age.
Correction: Within the movie's storyline, the tented circus opens a short time after the building burns down, despite the fact that "in reality" it was 5 years. This film is not a historical documentary. It's a highly fictionalized story loosely based on a few real people and real events, and as such they're not obligated to be factually accurate, which is a standard accepted movie convention.

The Greatest Showman (2017)
Corrected entry: At the end when PT hands over his top hat to Philip, Philip has a coat with tails. They disappear during his number. In fact they disappear mid-shot - he runs onstage and they're there when he starts sliding, but disappear in the split second he's behind a woman in a purple dress. (01:34:25)
Correction: This is not a mistake or slip-up of any kind. This shot was cut seamlessly and quite beautifully. It's a rather poignant moment, done creatively to be symbolic of Phillip's new role as the Ringmaster. Phillip rushes to the ring wearing Barnum's top hat and carrying his cane. So as Phillip slides into the ring he's actually sliding into his new role, and his simple old coat with tails transforms into a Ringmaster's elaborate coat. Phillip's new coat has full frontal gold frogging, two gold braid epaulettes, embellished black/gold accented collar and sleeve cuffs, and gold braid trim. This is an artistically brilliant shot, not a mistake at all.

The Little Mermaid (1989)
Corrected entry: When the wedding is taking place, the priest's cross turns upside down for one frame.
Correction: He does not wear a cross, and there is no cross on his clothing. I wanted to provide a screenshot, so in every shot he was visible I went frame-by-frame to see what the submitter could have meant, but found nothing.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)
Corrected entry: Near the end, when Hermione leaves Harry to talk to Sirius in the castle, as she moves out of frame you can hear her saying "Don't help me" or something similar, presumably to a cast member. (02:03:45)
Correction: Hermione says, "Down Buckbeak," when she walks out of frame.
Why would she say that?
Buckbeak is playful and could be trying to engage with her which she doesn't want to at that time. It is similar to coming up to an excited dog or horse and saying "down boy" or "easy boy."

Jaws (1975)
Character mistake: Captain Quint tells Hooper and Brody that the USS Indianapolis delivered "the Hiroshima bomb" in 1945. This is a myth that has persisted for decades and right up to the present. To prevent it from being lost in one piece, the Hiroshima bomb was actually delivered in pieces by various means to Tinian Island, where the parts were reassembled before it was carried aboard the Enola Gay to its target in Japan. The USS Indianapolis delivered only the detonator for the bomb. (01:29:00)
Suggested correction: This isn't a mistake since even you say it is a commonly believed and spoken of myth, so how is the captain repeating a commonly held myth a movie mistake? That would be like calling it a movie mistake if the character of King Arthur said the world was flat.
I agree with Jason, that it was correct for the character of Quint to have truly believed it. This was submitted as a "character mistake" which is appropriate. According to MM's guidelines a character mistake is "something a character wrongly states as fact... Something more significant than a minor error anyone could make."
Suggested correction: Quint likely believed the ship carried the bomb. It's unlikely he would know the details of an intricate plan to deliver the pieces separately. It may not have been factually correct, but it was correct for the character to have believed it.

Apollo 13 (1995)
Corrected entry: In the shot of Fred and Mary Haise at the Apollo 11 lunar landing party Mary is obviously pregnant. Apollo 11 was nine months before Apollo 13 and Mary is supposedly 8 months pregnant at the launch of Apollo 13. She does not have a baby during Apollo 13 and even if she was pregnant during Apollo 11 it would not have showed yet.
Correction: I disagree rather strongly with the statement "Mary is obviously pregnant" during the Apollo 11 lunar landing party at the Lovell house. We see Mary Haise in a few shots wearing her high-waisted white dress, and she does not look pregnant.

Halloween (1978)
Corrected entry: When Laurie goes to the Wallace residence to check on Linda, she enters the living room and a crew member's arm can be seen sticking out from the left wall.
Correction: That's not a crew member's arm, it's Laurie's moving shadow being cast on the wall as she turns twice.

Friends (1994)
The One With Joey's Award - S7-E18
Corrected entry: Rachel's dress changes before and after going to the awards. (00:09:00 - 00:10:20)
Correction: Nope, you're mistaken. When we see Rachel at the apartment before she and Joey leave, she's not actually dressed yet. She walks out of her bedroom wearing her white robe, gold choker necklace, and blue flip-flops, while holding her makeup bag. Later we see Rachel at the Soapie Awards wearing the red spaghetti strap gown and she's still wearing it when she and Joey get home. Though I have to say, it's very complimentary to the actress that she even looks that great in just a robe.

The Ewok Adventure (1984)
Other mistake: Mace's reflection can still be seen on the pond after he disappears. (00:53:30)
Suggested correction: This isn't a mistake. That's him, under the water in the same pose he was in before he touched the water.
After watching the scene, the mistake is valid. When he's underwater, he's not in the same "pose." That would require him to be upside down and squatting. But that's not the pose we see him in.
We see Mace semi-kneeling and reaching out to touch the water when he vanishes, but his upside-down reflection is still in the exact same calm position even when he's gone, and in the next shot we see Mace under the water right-side up, with his arms reaching up to the surface. This is a valid mistake, the suggested correction is not right.

Psycho (1960)
Corrected entry: When Norman shows Marion to room number one he opens the door with the room key. After putting her coat and suitcase on the bed, he puts the room key in his jacket pocket. After showing her the room and inviting her to dinner, Norman turns and pulls the key out of the door and hands it to Marion. He never took the key out of his jacket pocket. And he didn't get both keys from the hook in the office, just one.
Correction: You're mistaken, please watch the scene again. When Norman opens the door we see that he leaves the motel's room key in the lock under the doorknob, note the key's dangling room tag. He does not place anything in his pocket, he only unbuttons his jacket as he walks to the window.

ER (1994)
Corrected entry: When Greene and Benton are at the coffee stall, Greene calls Benton "Eriq," which of course is the actor's real name.
Correction: Mark does not call Peter "Eriq", he calls him "Peter" - he says it quickly and the audio is a bit unclear with the sounds of street traffic, but if you turn up the volume, it is indeed Peter.
Correction: I agree with the correction, Greene does not say "Eriq" at all. Benton says, "Hey, Mark," to which Greene replies, "Peter" and then continues talking.
Correction: I heard Eriq while watching E.R. Via Hulu. This may have been changed for the DVD version.
I've seen the Hulu version and hear him say "Peter." The subtitles even confirm it.
Correction: The submitter of this mistake was confused since this is submitted for episode 2 "Broken Bow" yet this conversation between T'Pol and Trip occurs in the much later episode "Oasis" which completely nullifies this mistake. Trip dealt with carrying a child in episode 5 "Unexpected" and T'Pol reminds him of it in "Oasis" which is episode 20 (on Netflix it's 19 because 1 and 2 are combined) of season 1. There is no continuity issue with the episodes.
