Big Fat Liar (2002)

Corrected entry: Towards the end, when Marty Wolf is chasing after Jason and Kaylee, he spots an empty buggy nearby and races toward it. There are a few people standing in front of it and he pushes them out of the way as he hops in. In the next shot (which is a long shot of the scene), Marty begins to drive off, but the people that he just pushed out of the way have disappeared.

Correction: Marty pushes one man and one woman aside, jumps into the golf cart, and in the next shot as he shouts, "I'm coming Funnybones," the perplexed woman is seen walking from the left of the screen (the man is out of shot) towards Marty, who is driving away in the cart. No continuity error here.

Big Fat Liar (2002)

Corrected entry: Towards the beginning of the movie, Jason is seen riding his skateboard on a leaf-covered sidewalk, implying that it is autumn. But since he fails English he has to go to summer school, which makes the season the early summer.

Correction: At the start of the movie, the ground is covered in leaves, and also note that the characters are wearing jackets, knit caps, sweaters and other cold weather apparel, so yes, it is in fact fall. When Ms. Caldwell is speaking with Jason and his parents she explains that the essay counts as 1/3 of his final grade and without it he will fail the course and repeat the class in summer school. After she agrees to give him one chance to make it up, when he doesn't make the 6:00pm deadline with the missing essay his fate is sealed. By the time he starts summer school (note everyone's summery clothing now) 6-7 months have passed, and in that time the movie Marty had been in Jason's hometown shooting months earlier has been cut, edited and is now set for its premiere.

Troy (2004)

Corrected entry: When Hector removes his helmet right after Achilles does (during their fight scene), you can see the nose bridge and flanks of his helmet move in an obvious rubbery way.

Ivan-sama

Correction: This mistake has already been noted.

Corrected entry: In the scene when Cedric is going to put his name in the goblet you can see lots of tape markings on the floor right below the actual "ageline" that was drawn by Dumbledore and there's a lot of them. (00:28:55)

willythefish

Correction: I'm afraid you're mistaken. When Cedric places his name into the goblet, the "markings" you see are the many magical symbols/characters on the stone floor that encircle the goblet's base, under the misty age line - it's about 4-5 feet from the goblet's base (on all sides) to the magical circle's perimeter. A few minutes later, after Fred and George drink the potion, in the overhead shot as they jump off the bench, we see an even better view of all those many markings.

The Proposal (2009)

Corrected entry: After the jilted wedding, Andrew walks into the bedroom and finds the wedding dress with nothing on it. In the shot where he reaches for his manuscript, the heir-loom necklace is lying on the dress next to the left sleeve. It disappears in the next shot. (01:34:05)

ployp

Correction: Look more carefully. The necklace chain is visible at the lower left corner of the screen. The shot of him picking up the manuscript shows the dress lower down, so the necklace can be seen more clearly.

Super Grover

Corrected entry: When Harry and Ron talk in the bedroom, Harry is watching Draco where he goes with the special map of Hogwarts, the name of Draco on the map is misspelled Malpoy.

Correction: No, it most certainly does not. The style of the font used for the all-capitalized "MALFOY" has a decorative flourish at the end of all the letters' (except "O") lines. The "F" you're seeing may seem like a "P" to you, but it is truly an "F".

Twilight (2008)

Corrected entry: In the Ballet Studio, when James bites Bella's left arm, there is nothing on it, but, when Edward is sucking the venom out, there is a bracelet. Look at her arm when James bites it, then you'll first notice it just after Edward throws James against the mirror. (01:38:50 - 01:41:15)

Correction: Have another look. Bella is indeed wearing the narrow silver cuff bracelet (open back with two ends) when James bites her. As her palm is facing up, one end of the cuff bracelet is beside his mouth and the other end is visible beside his ring finger. The cuff bracelet may be easy to miss because the open back is at the center of her wrist, and it's rather dimly lit.

Corrected entry: When Bridget and Eric are racing, they run into a place on the beach where they are enclosed on three sides by large rock walls. In the next shot Bridget is lying on the sand and then a wave comes into view, right where the left rock wall was in the previous shot.

Correction: They are not "enclosed on three sides" and the "left rock wall" doesn't vanish. In the first shot, as they reach the end of the seven mile run, we see the water off to the left even before the next close-up in which the wave rushes up onto the beach. No inconsistencies regarding the rocks and tide.

Corrected entry: During the Green Day concert, Edna Krabapple sits on Skinner and takes up the sweater that says "Not my boyfriend," but when Green Day is done singing "Da Da Da," they are not there anymore. (00:02:55)

Correction: They are to the left of where the wider shot cuts off - the entire audience is NOT visible in that wider shot. We have to presume that they are still in the audience, but we just cannot see them in that wider shot.

Big Fat Liar (2002)

Corrected entry: When Marty is first getting ready for the beginning of the movie shoot, he is holding up clothes and he is still blue with orange hair. In the next scene when he is going to the limo, he tells Monty he was up all night with a scrub brush and a can of turpentine. The scene with him picking out the outfit was in the morning, so if he was up all night, wouldn't he have already cleaned the blue and orange off?

Correction: You're mistaken about the timing/sequence of events. When Monty relieves Rocco (who has been "babysitting" Kaylee and Jason) it is still the night before the first day of the movie shoot. It's at this point it begins to cut back and forth between shots of blue-Marty (and Mr. Funnybones), who begins his quest of the perfect outfit for the next morning, and shots of Jason and Kaylee, who only just begin their instruction of the "troops". In the final shots of blue-Marty and Jason, when they both say, "It's showtime," it is still nighttime, each still has more work to do that night which we needn't see onscreen - Jason needed to go through specific details of the plan with the group and blue-Marty "spent half the night with a scrub brush and a can of turpentine". In fact, the last outfit we see blue-Marty trying on is not the outfit he is actually wearing the next morning, when Frank picks him up.

Hocus Pocus (1993)

Corrected entry: When the Sanderson Sisters first return to the house, Sister Sarah reaches up and finds her lucky rat tail just where she left it. It's been 300 years; the rat tail would have decomposed in that amount of time. It has been suggested that since she is a witch, she could have put a resistant spell on it. But we did not see her do that in the movie, and if we do not see it, we cannot use it to explain away the mistake. That "logic" could be used to explain away many of the mistakes caught by the audience.

Robert Sullinger

Correction: You state, "if we do not see it, we cannot use it to explain away the mistake." That's rubbish. In *certain* circumstances that's precisely what we the viewers must do - not everything must be seen onscreen. Sarah says, "My lucky rat tail! Just where I left it!" The fact is, in this particular instance, it actually makes perfect sense that the witch would have used a protective charm/spell on what she claims to be her lucky rat tail, so no harm would come to it.

Super Grover

Correction: Super Grover is right. Just because we don't see them do it isn't an excuse. In fact, we never saw her put the rat tail there (nor did she even mention it), and by that logic it would be a movie mistake for her just to have reached up and taken it. Watching any movie requires viewers to use a bit of their imagination or suspend disbelief but even more so in fantasy based films like this one.

Transformers (2007)

Corrected entry: When Sam leaves his house on the pink bike and his car follows him, a set of car tracks from a previous take are already visible on the lawn.

Correction: Bumblebee's tire tracks could have occurred at any time prior to Sam leaving on his mom's bike, such as when Sam followed Bumblebee on his own bike the night before, or when Bumblebee came back that morning to "stalk" Sam, before Sam left the house. This is not a mistake.

Super Grover

Corrected entry: In the scene where Draco attacks Harry on the Hogwart's Express, it appears that they shot to scene at both ends of the train compartment and then spliced the different takes together. If you watch the numbers on the wall above the seats, they bounce back and forth from low to high numbers.

Correction: There is nothing unusual about the seats' numerical order. Seat numbers 1 and 2 are to the left of the door (for which Draco pulls down the shade, and also Luna walks through) and numbers 3 and 4 are to its right, with the numbers increased in each row, so 5-8 are facing 1-4 with the tables between. Draco, who sits farther back facing that door, sits at seat number 14, with 13 to his left, seats 15 and 16 to his right across the aisle, and across the table are Pansy and Blaise in seats 9 and 10, facing Draco. The numbers are perfectly consistent.

Super Grover

Corrected entry: After Draco is escorted out of Slughorn's party by Snape, and Harry begins to spy on them, you can see crew rugs used to quiet Draco and Snape's footsteps. The same rugs are visible earlier in the film when Harry and Ron walk down a corridor after Slughorn's class.

Correction: There is no rug in the corridor when Harry and Ron head toward Slughorn's Potions class (not "after"), and there is no rug in the corridor when Snape pushes Draco up against the wall, while Harry overhears them.

Super Grover

Corrected entry: In the scene where Harry goes up to the Owlery to retrieve the message sent by Sirius, we see a dark-colored owl fly inside from the opposite window that Harry is standing next to. The owl lands on a square basin but on the far side from Harry, who then turns around noticing that the owl has just flown in holding a note in it's beak. The owl is now on the near side of the basin closest to Harry. (00:41:50)

MartyS

Correction: Yes, the biting owl lands on the ridge farthest from Harry, but then it cuts to a close-up of Harry, so we do not see the owl in those few moments (even on fullscreen DVD). All the black owl needs to do is move up (about a foot) to the ridge closer to Harry, while offscreen, which is not an unlikely presumption.

Super Grover

Corrected entry: When Dumbledore rises to give a speech, the gold owl on his pedestal shakes its head and then spreads its wings, which are perfectly clean. Later during the speech, the wings are shown covered in dried wax from the candles.

Correction: When the owl spreads its wings at the start of Dumbledore's statements, the wings are below the candles, so as the headmaster continues to speak, the melted wax drips down to the wing tips. Absolutely no mistake here.

Super Grover

Corrected entry: When Harry drinks the Felix Felicis, he appears to drink/down the entire bottle, but the next shot shows that it is still half full. They may have shot both versions because in the book Harry only drinks half and saves the rest for later.

Correction: When Harry starts to drink the Felix Felicis we see some of the liquid emptying, but the fact is we are UNABLE to see whether or not the vial has actually been emptied in this overhead shot. In the next shot facing Harry, we see the vial is half empty. There is no mistake since we cannot determine the amount of liquid that is left in the vial in the first overhead shot.

Big Trouble (2002)

Corrected entry: In the scene where the plane is in the air, the back stairs are down when the plane takes off. The camera zooms out showing the entire plane in the sky. You can see the back stairs are up. Next few scenes, stairs are down.

Correction: The stairs are down in every shot that we are able to see the plane's left side.

Corrected entry: When the students and teachers raise their wands in salute of Dumbledore, Hagrid is holding a wand like everyone else. He should be holding his pink umbrella, containing the pieces of his wand, which was snapped 54 years previously.

Correction: Hagrid is not holding anything, his hands are down the entire time.

Good Advice (2001)

Corrected entry: There are supposed to be a few weeks between Charlie Sheen's first and second visit to the mail room, yet the mail boy is still reading the same issue of the Tomb Raider comic book. He must be a very slow reader. (00:26:40 - 00:44:25)

Correction: The mail boy enjoys a specific issue and merely rereads it. This is not unusual by any means. Both adults and kids alike reread the same favorite comics or books over and over and over again.
