Corrected entry: When Greene and Benton are at the coffee stall, Greene calls Benton "Eriq," which of course is the actor's real name.
Correction: I agree with the correction, Greene does not say "Eriq" at all. Benton says, "Hey, Mark," to which Greene replies, "Peter" and then continues talking.
Correction: I heard Eriq while watching E.R. Via Hulu. This may have been changed for the DVD version.
I've seen the Hulu version and hear him say "Peter." The subtitles even confirm it.
Let It Snow - S15-E9
Corrected entry: Sam is in the bathroom washing her hands. As she goes to leave, 'Ladies Room' is on the glass of the door, however it is oriented facing the inside of the room. It should appear backwards so it would be seen correctly from the outside, not inside. (00:39:52)
Correction: This shot opens on a closeup of Sam's hands under the faucet, as she stands at the sink washing her face, in front of the mirror on the wall over the sink. Watch as the camera faces the mirror, so it's Sam's reflection drying her face and walking out the bathroom door. "Ladies room" is printed on the exterior side of the door's glass window. From the interior side the words are reversed, but since the camera faces the mirror, viewers see the reflection of the words the right way, not reversed.
Corrected entry: After using her new chest gizmo on an ER patient, Kerry addresses Dr. Anspaugh as "Doug" (Doug is the George Clooney part). This could be considered a character mistake, but he responds and they continue their conversation - in real life he would have corrected her.
Correction: Dr. Anspaugh's name is *Donald*. She called him *Don*, which sounds similar to Doug.
Corrected entry: When Susan is treating the cab driver for the cut on his forehead, she glances down at his dating service book. When she goes back to the laceration, it has suddenly become much redder and bloodier in just a few seconds.
Correction: Scalp wounds bleed profusely. As fast as that happened, it's not impossible.
Corrected entry: Zoe's father comes to the ER to question Neela on why she has given Zoe medication. He knows her name only from the tag on the bottle of pills. The tag does not specify where the doctor in question works, there is no way he could have known that she worked in the ER and not in any other department. Zoe sure didn't tell him.
Correction: Her father could have phoned the hospital to find out what department Neela worked in.
Corrected entry: Elizabeth says that she worked in the Bogside in Belfast (Northern Ireland). The Bogside is an area in Derry, some 75 miles away. Elizabeth would have known this.
Correction: Elizabeth does not say she worked in Bogside - she said she was working in Belfast when she attended a concert in Bogside - that would certainly be possible.
Tell Me Where It Hurts - S9-E7
Corrected entry: Eric is supposed to be in the Air Force but his hair is so far out of regulation it looks like he hasn't cut it in months.
Correction: Eric was developing bipolar disorder, and as we later learned, had gone AWOL. Trimming his hair was likely the last thing on his mind.
Corrected entry: When Luca reveals his background, and his children and wife are shown in flashbacks in Croatia, he has two daughters. But, when he gets together with Sam and Alex goes missing, he tells her a story about his son, Marco.
Correction: You are mistaken. Luka had a son and a daughter. The two females that you see in the flashback are his daughter and his *wife*.
Corrected entry: Season 13, Episode 19: "Family Business" - Tony counts out three bills and hands them to his father to go buy groceries. When Tony berates him later for blowing it all on booze and Coming Home stumbling drunk, he screams that it was $100. There is no combination of US currency where three bills can add up to $100.
Correction: He gives him 5 bills! Watch closely, Tony takes out a folded "bundle" of bills, he counts and opens three of them, you can clearly see that there is a fourth bill still folded. Then you see Tony reach back to his pocket and adds a fifth bill, 5x20=100.
Corrected entry: Carter starts the day kissing his co-worker. She gives him a love bite on the right side of his neck.Everyone makes some comment about the hickey. On the last half of the show, we now see Carter wearing a bandage, but it's now on the left side of his neck.
Correction: We never actually see Harper give Carter the hickey. When Benton tells him he has a hemotoma on his neck, it is on his left side. When Carter checks it out in the glass, it appears to be on his right. When he is trying to hide it from the doctor in the washroom, it again appears to be on his right - but it is on the left side of his neck.
Corrected entry: When Carol is standing outside with Kerry, you can see that the wind changes direction between camera angles. Just watch Carol's hair and it becomes very noticeable.
Correction: Sometimes the wind changes directions all the time. Just last night I had to fight with my umbrella because the wind kept changing directions; the rain and my hair, was blowing all over the place.
The Letter - S8-E20
Corrected entry: In one of the last scenes, Dr. Lewis is shown leaving the ER, and putting a tack in the bottom of each page of "The Letter." However, at the very end of the episode, "The Letter" is shown blowing in the breeze, without any tacks holding the bottom of the pages down.
Correction: To begin with it was the night before when Dr. Lewis only tacked down two of the three pages, with just ONE pin each. Also, the space below was mostly empty except for a yellow and blue paper. Later the following afternoon, when we see three pages blowing, there is at least one additional posting and a fan is now directly blowing on the bulliten board. People stealing extra tacks for additional postings elsewhere on a bulliten board and loose pins being blown off happen all the time and can easily account for what happened over this long period of time.
Corrected entry: Abby diagnosis a 'piece of metal in his spleen' when treating Susan's husband who has just collapsed. She puts the ultrasound machine beside his right hip when the spleen is located behind the last rib on the left. Also metal would not show up on ultrasound.
Correction: Actually, since ultrasound scans are based upon the principle that high frequency soundwaves are reflected, metal shows up very well on an ultrasound. It would appear as bright white since it is dense and would reflect soundwaves very efficiently. Also, they can still use the machine even in that position.
Corrected entry: Carol delivers one of the twins and then receives an epidural. Epidurals are not given when the actual delivery is near, and certainly not between delivering twins.
Correction: Absolutely false; many doctors prefer setting up the epidural before multiple births to avoid complications and lawsuits, though it can be done later; the epidural - which slows contractions, may be given later in delivery. Also, after one twin is born naturally an epidural may be given - under the right set of circumstances, before an emergency C-section of the second twin. This is the case with Carol Hathaway, who was already 10 cm and ready to push with the first, when she arrived at the ER.
Last Rites - S6-E2
Corrected entry: Dr Greene calls Time of Death of the teenage DNR at 20:34 (8:34pm), but the clock behind him shows the time is 10:34 which would be 22:34.
Correction: If you look close on this scene you can see that this is a sort of "special" clock that I have seen in hospitals. The hour hand takes twenty four hours to make a complete revolution. This makes just looking at the position of the hands a little confusing you need to look at the numbers and you can see that it was 20:34.
Corrected entry: A woman is brought into the ER who they think has had a stroke. When Dr. Carter is showing the x-rays to Dr. Greene, he tells him the woman is 27 years old. Later in the episode, Dr. Greene rushes to talk to the surgeon and he tells him the woman is 25 years old.
Correction: This was a character mistake on Dr. Greene's part rather than a mistake by the writers.
Walk Like a Man (a.k.a. Don't Call Me Mikey) - S9-E4
Corrected entry: Toward the end, when Susan is trying to convince Abby to go clubbing with her, Abby has a wedding ring on her left ring finger. Abby isn't married on the show.
Correction: Actually she WAS married on the show. Some people still wear their wedding ring at times even after the divorce.
Corrected entry: Where are Doug and Carol at the end? Doug was one of Mark's best friends and for him not to be there doesn't make any sense.
Correction: There could be a number of reasons why they aren't there. One of the twins (or both) could be sick, they might not have gotten time off work in such a short notice, there might be bad weather preventing them from being able to fly, they might be on vacation abroad, they might be sick, etc, etc, etc.
Corrected entry: None of the babies that are born in this episode have umbilical chords.
Correction: I think you'll find that Dr Weaver's baby has an umbilical chord as Neela asks her if she'd like to cut it.
Correction: Mark does not call Peter "Eriq", he calls him "Peter" - he says it quickly and the audio is a bit unclear with the sounds of street traffic, but if you turn up the volume, it is indeed Peter.
