Seinfeld (1990)

Male Unbonding - S1-E3

Corrected entry: After Jerry talks to Joel for the first time on the phone, George asks "who is this guy?" I'm sure that if George and Jerry had grown up together and have been close friends for so long, he would have, at some point in time, heard about him, or even met him. Especially if he keeps calling Jerry and trying to create a friendship.

Correction: Jerry is a stand-up comedian, and has met lots of people on the road at various comedy clubs, many of whom would have had no reason to have ever met George, so this mistake is not valid, as it is a guess, not fact.

Jazetopher

Met no, but the mistake references the fact that George never -heard- of him before. If he's been 'stalking' Jerry with calls forever to the point that Jerry is even afraid of answering the phone, it's practically impossible that George never heard of him. An annoying person like this is exactly the sort of thing you'd expect them to talk about in their endless chatters about nothing.

Jeepers Creepers (2001)

Corrected entry: Having your eyes removed would not kill you, so Darry should still have been alive when he is seen at the end of the movie.

Correction: Look again. The entire back half of his head is missing, including his eyes. Also, who's to say what else the creature did or did not do to him between the time he captures Darry and we see him back at the creature's hideout?

Groundhog Day (1993)

Corrected entry: In the first scene at the bed and breakfast before Phil says "chance of departure." he is talking to the lady. At the end of this scene he picks up his cup of coffee. Yet when he says his lines seconds later, the coffee cup is gone and he is putting on his coat. (00:09:55)

manthabeat

Correction: He sets the coffee down to put on his coat, just like any other normal person would do, so as not to spill it.

Forever Young (1992)

Corrected entry: When the freezer with Daniel in it opens you hear the sound of a breathing machine, which would be totally useless under the circumstances. (00:27:00)

NancyFelix

Correction: Actually, all you hear is differences in the sound that the air is making as it hisses. It does resemble a breathing machine, but since one is never shown on film, no mistake is made here.

Forever Young (1992)

Corrected entry: The freezer with Daniel in it was misplaced in a warehouse for 50 years and disconnected from whatever utilities. Therefore, there was no chance that it would still be cold after such a long time. (00:27:00)

NancyFelix

Correction: Since it was never explained what chemicals, processes, etc... are needed to freeze him, it is likely the container remaining closed is enough to keep his body frozen. The "utilities" attached to it in the beginning could have been nothing more than devices for collecting data or getting the freezing process started.

Forever Young (1992)

Corrected entry: It is established that Nat is 10 years old. In the scene where Claire is patching up Daniel, Nat carries in a Boy Scout book. Boy Scouts are all 12 and older. Nat should be a Cub Scout. (00:46:30)

Correction: You can check these books out at the library. There is no reason why he cannot have this book, especially since we see him at the library anyways.

The Matrix (1999)

Corrected entry: Worth noticing if you're a Sydney inhabitant: In the scene where Trinity picks up Neo under the bridge while it is raining, the impression you get is that they drive a fair distance before Neo is asked to make a decision by Switch. Neo opens the car door and the camera shot is of him looking up a dimly lit street. For anyone who knows the city of Sydney you will realise quite quickly that the car has not travelled more than 10 feet because the bridge he was standing under is right next to the street he is looking up. (00:22:00)

Correction: This isn't the real world, it is the Matrix, and since this is the 5th or 6th time the Matrix was created, who's to say that the machine-created world could not be slightly different each time it is made, as nobody would in the Matrix would ever know the difference, because this is the only world they have ever known. If anything, you might re-submit this as Trivia, but it is not a mistake for the film.

The Matrix (1999)

Corrected entry: After the Agents ram the phone booth and brick wall, the truck reverses out. A brick is visible on the engine. A few shots later, the brick's mysteriously disappeared.

Correction: Large trucks vibrate when the engine is running, and as you mentioned, this is several shots later. The brick likely slid off the angled hood of the truck due to vibration/movement of the truck itself.

The Matrix (1999)

Corrected entry: In the scene at the end of the movie where Neo is running towards Agent Smith. He appears to be stopping just before diving into Agent Smith.

Correction: He is actually bracing his feet for the launch/dive into Agent Smith's chest.

El Dorado (1966)

Corrected entry: When Joey shoots John Wayne, she shoots him from the upper left front position. There's no way the bullet could have hit him in the lower left back.

Correction: This is opinion, not fact. It is an unusual angle, but not entirely impossible for him to have received the injury he did from that angle.

Cellular (2004)

Corrected entry: When Kim Basinger is trying to escape the house with her kid she is stopped and told to get out. The show a wide shot of her getting out and the mirror is damaged with a piece of it hanging from the housing, then they show a close up of her still getting out, but the hanging piece from the mirror is gone.

Correction: It fell. Gravity has this effect, especially if the piece of the mirror was barely hanging from the frame in the first place.

Corrected entry: In the scene with Scagnetti and the prostitute, the type of underwear Scagnetti has on changes. In some shots he has on briefs, and in others he has on a thong.

Correction: Look closely, and you will see that it is a thong the entire time.

Correction: Look again. It's one of the cables for the elevator that is falling along with him.

Poseidon (2006)

Other mistake: When the ship first turns upside down, power is lost throughout the ship and emergency lighting takes over. Yet shortly after, people are being severely electrocuted in the Disco.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: The lights went out because the power cables connecting them to their power supply were severed. Just like a downed power line in a town without power, there is still an electric current traveling through these lines, but the lights go out because they are no longer connected to that power supply.

Jazetopher

That's not true. The ship, when upside down, suffered a blackout, since the engines that drive the generators cannot run upside down. The only power source available then are the ship's batteries, which certainly can't and don't provide the amount of voltage that apparently still coursed through the line in the disco. It should've been dead, like everything else on the ship not connected to an emergency power source.

Corrected entry: The end of the movie takes place two years after 9/11 but when shown Cage's children appear not to have aged.

Correction: Many people at that age can appear to look almost the same for a period of a couple years, and as you stated, we know it is two years later, so no movie mistake is made.

Star Wars (1977)

Corrected entry: Considering how expensive the Death Star was you would think that they would be able to afford decent chairs, during the first scene at the big table the back of Tarkin's chair wobbles like hell, especially when he first walks in and sits down. (00:36:00)

Correction: Not understanding something or giving your opinion of what you think should be done does not make it a mistake. There are several reasons that the chairs could wobble, including the fact that an object as large as the Death Star might be prone to being hit by space debris (meteors, etc.) and the chairs need to move a little in response.

Dreamcatcher (2003)

Corrected entry: When Henry and Otto go to get Duds, his "mom" says he has leukemia. Isn't it odd that a doctor can find leukemia but not tell that he is really an alien in an assumed shape? Is his "mom" an alien in disguise too? Some say he's not an alien, but in the final scene he sheds his human form and resumes his true form, then he envelopes the other alien and self destructs himself and the other alien.

EMTurbo

Correction: It is never stated that a "doctor" found Leukemia, she just says he has it. Most likely she is protecting Duds because a man she has never met is in her house, and might think of him a little strange without a cover story. Duds may have bestowed the same "gift" on his mom, and she looks after him the same way the 4 friends do. Even Henry doesn't give his identity away when he and Otto are in the car on the way, he just casually explains that Duds is special.

Corrected entry: When Mowser talks to the rookies for the first time, he explains that each of them will be assigned a partner. However, when Hightower goes on foot patrol, he is walking alone.

Paul Pepiton

Correction: It's part of the gag. Hightower is big enough to be counted as two people, and he therefore does not need a partner because he can take care of himself.

Tango & Cash (1989)

Corrected entry: Why does the FBI automatically assume that Tango and Cash killed their agent, and if the FBI had the building staked out, why didn't they see the bad guy enter and leave? (00:24:00)

Bill McIntyre

Correction: If you watch the movie, this is explained. Many people were paid/bought off for the set-up. The guy who is in charge when the FBI burst in is one of these people, as is later revealed in the film.

Independence Day (1996)

Corrected entry: Will Smith's mustache is out of limits for military standards. The standard is that a mustache shall not extend lower than the top of the upper lip or past a vertical line drawn upward from the corner of the mouth. He's good on the first part, but out of regs on the second. (00:21:00)

Correction: Maybe he grew it out during his "leave-time" from being at the base. Doesn't take long for a thin mustache like that to grow(couple days), and I am sure they would not have taken the time to make him shave under the circumstances.
