Wildcats (1986)

Corrected entry: During the championship game, with the Wildcats down 21-14, Bird completes a long pass to 32, however, when he catches it, there are three linemen downfield with him, which should have resulted in a penalty.

Correction: Referees miss obvious penalties all of the time.

Under Siege (1992)

Corrected entry: As Ryback and his crew prepare to load the 16-inch gun with its first round, you see them being very rough with the 110-pound bags of propellant. This is especially true when the bags are rolled out of the bag hoist and they are allowed to simply "fall out" and slam into the cradle. Anyone working with bags of explosive like that is taking a huge risk.

Correction: It is not a mistake if the characters act carelessly.

Pretty Woman (1990)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Edward and Vivian are taking off to fly from L.A. to San Francisco the plane is flying south, not north. As their plane takes flight, it is shown flying toward the setting sun (west). The plane makes a very clear turn to the left (southward).

Correction: Planes don't always take off and immediately fly in the direction of their destination. Sometimes they have to be routed different ways by air traffic control because of things like weather, and other air traffic in the area.

Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk Goes to the Theater - S2-E6

Corrected entry: When Sharona is talking to her mother at the table and her mother spells out S-T-O-L-E, Sharona says he (Benji) can spell, he's 11. This episode aired in 8/2003. In the pilot episode, which is from 7/2002, she says he's 11 in that episode, too, which is impossible because it's 13 months later.

Correction: This can not be a mistake unless they actually say what year it is in the show, or confirm that a more than a year has passed within the show. Just because 13 months has passed in real life it does not mean that much time has passed in the show.

Corrected entry: In the scene where the homeless family throws the Presidents out of the car and leaves, even though the family says they are going to Ohio, the trailer they are towing is licensed in Ohio.

Correction: The trailer could be a rental, this would explain why it has a different plate then the state they rented it in.

The Peacemaker (1997)

Corrected entry: When Nicole and George are attempting to disarm the nuclear bomb, we can see the timer ticking down. Right above the digital display, there is a pause button.

Correction: That just means that the timer they used for the bomb had a pause button, I am sure an experienced bomb maker would have removed the wiring that would allow you to pause the timer.

The Holiday (2006)

Corrected entry: Amanda says she will go back to L.A. early. In fact, she gets to the airport and everything. There's one problem: she is responsible for Iris's dog for the full two weeks, and she can't take a dog to the States without putting it in a quarantine first.

Correction: When bringing a pet into the US, it does not have to be quarantined if it passes a physical examination, and you have proof of up to date vaccinations.

pross79

Correction: I'm sure that Graham could take care of the dog after Amanda leaves.

Casino Royale (2006)

Corrected entry: When Bond is chasing Mollaka on the tower crane, Mollaka fails to shoot Bond because he has run out of ammo; the pistol merely clicks. However, when a semiautomatic pistol is out of ammo, not only is the trigger mechanism disabled; more importantly, the slide locks back in the open position, making it obvious that the pistol cannot be fired.

Correction: It could have been a misfire, in that case the pistol would act exactly as it did in the movie.

Whose Car Is It Anyway? - S6-E6

Corrected entry: Tim hot wires Jill's car after she takes the keys. The car starts right up after a few wires are crossed. It's a manual shift car so the clutch would of had to been pressed down for the engine to crank over or else the car doesn't do anything.

Correction: Many cars with a manual transmission allow you to start the car without pressing on the clutch, as long as the transmission is in neutral.

Correction: One of the definitions of a cow is a domesticated bovine of either sex or any age. Which would apply in this case.

Encounter at Farpoint (1) - S1-E1

Corrected entry: After the crew has separated the saucer section from the main section, we see the senior staff waiting on the bridge for the encounter with Q. Yet, on all the Enterprise blueprints and schematics, the main bridge is on the top of the saucer section. How can the crew let the saucer section go, wait on the war segment, and still be on the main bridge awaiting Q.

Correction: They are not on the main bridge anymore, they are on The Battle bridge in the lower section.

The Waterboy (1998)

Corrected entry: When coach Klein is watching the game footage before bobby's interview for waterboy, the opposition intercepts in the game film, runs it and drops it, but then simply picks it up and runs for a touchdown. Klein jokes about how much time he had to pick it up and keep going, but that would be a fumble and the play would be at that moment be dead.

Correction: A play is not over when someone fumbles the ball, unless the ball is fumbled out of bounds. If someone fumbled the ball and nobody ever picked it up, but the ball remained in bounds, the play would never end.

Full Metal Jacket (1987)

Corrected entry: In the scene in when Sgt. Joker, Animal Mother and the other Marines are outside in the ruins at twilight time getting ready for the final assault on the sniper, you can see their breath in the cold night air when the speak. Obviously this scene was filmed in a cooler climate, as this would not happen in Vietnam.

Correction: You don't always have to be in cold air to see someone's breath. If the humidity conditions are right you can see someone's breathe when it is very warm.

Boyz n the Hood (1991)

Corrected entry: At the onset of the movie, during the fishing scene, Furious is talking to Tre about how he was "17 years older than him" and went to Vietnam. We know the beginning of the movie is set in 1984 and that Tre is about 10 years old, making Furious about 27. American involvment in Vietnam ended at the beginning of 1973, where Furious then only would have been about 16 - too young to have been in the armed services in Vietnam.

Correction: This is a really easy math equation. The first part of the movie takes in 1984. The father tells his 10-year-old son that he went to Vietnam when his mother was late in the pregnancy. Subtract 10 years plus incubation time, and this puts us in either late 1973 or early 1974. All U.S. troops were out of Vietnam by March 1973. There is no way his father served in Vietnam. We're not even factoring in the time needed for basic training.

Correction: The minimum age for military service is 17, so all we need is one year and this fits, so unless we know there exact ages this can not be a mistake.

pross79

We do know the character's exact ages. The father could not have served in Vietnam. The time-line is off.

Rome (2005)

The Stolen Eagle - S1-E1

Corrected entry: When Atia is having sex with the owner of the white stallion she is on top. In ancient Rome that would never happen, as whoever was on top during sex was the dominant one, and no man would consider a woman dominant over him.

Correction: A women of her stature and class would certainly be dominant over that particular man. Or if that would never be the case, maybe he just liked it that way, many people who are dominate in real life will choose to be submissive in bed. Also just because it was generally accepted that people on top where dominate, it does not mean that ever single person in the whole history of the Roman Empire believed it to be true, and followed the practice.

The Mummy (1999)

Corrected entry: Towards the end of the fight sequence on the boat, when the Americans join the battle, the Medi with the hook attacks Johnathan. One American turns and unloads his revolver into the Medi (at least eight shots), plus all the firing he was doing earlier without reloading his gun. That's way too many shots to be in a single revolver.

Correction: A revolver is not, nor has it ever been, limited to 6 shots, many revolvers throughout history have been capable of firing 8 rounds, and sometimes more.

pross79

Corrected entry: Once lost in the woods, a pretty standard tactic is to follow the river: it must eventually lead out of the woods. But these 'seasoned hikers' seem to just keep walking aimlessley in random directions.

Correction: This is a mistake made by the characters in the movie, not a movie mistake.

pross79

Corrected entry: During the introduction of the movie we see two killers, checking out of a motel. After the older one gets out, apparently having killed everybody, he sends the sidekick back in, to get something to drink. This guy opens the refrigerator, gets a drink and then goes to fill up a container with water from a water dispenser. A gallon container, although there were all kinds of chilled containers in the refrigerator. He didn't like to be getting sent back inside by the old guy in the first place, why bothering with filling up a container, if he could have simply walked out and left a crime scene, though he apparently is pretty cool about standing at a crime scene a little longer. This was probably only done, so he had the chance to shoot the girl.

Correction: This is not a mistake, for what ever reason he had the character chose to fill up the water jug. And since he is a serial killer I would say he does not mind standing at a crime scene.

Land of the Dead (2005)

Corrected entry: According to Dawn of the Dead (2004), zombies ignore animals like dogs, which is why they sent the dumb mutt across town. In this film, when the two zombies are fighting in the ring, the main character asks, "What kind of food are we fighting over this time: dog or cat?"

Correction: Dawn of the Dead (2004) is not a Romero film, it is a remake of Romero's Dawn of the Dead (1978), but it was not made by him. In Romero's films the zombies do eat animals, and they only walk slowly, unlike Dawn of the Dead (2004) where they run.

Man of the House (2005)

Corrected entry: Jones' character bumps into Anne Archer at the supermarket and they both walk out into the carpark. As Archer is about to leave, Jones asks if she would like to have dinner over his house the next night and she agrees before leaving. But Jones never gave her his address and they never exchanged phone numbers, so how did she know where he lived?

Gavin Jackson

Correction: She knew he was staying with the girls, maybe she already knew where they lived, or since she was a member of the faculty of the school she could look up where the girls lived.
